BEFORE:
The Dolls look set to continue breaking the mold as Ginny Gardner tries to apply the brakes to her losing streak in the next match-up tonight. The lanky blonde faced her 3rd straight loss against Kyra Santoro just last month, and hasn’t been taking her misfortunes that well. She’s clearly no longer smiling as much during the pre-fight press junket, a far cry from her usual, chirpier self.

“It’s been three straight fights for me now that I’ve been struggling... I realize that I might need to change a few things, and I will start tonight. Shailene and me are the same size and we both have the same amount of experience in the ring, so there are really no excuses for me tonight. I should win this. No, I WILL win this. My plan since the beginning was to have fun boxing and kick some asses while I'm at it, but losing is definitely NOT fun. I'm basically over it. It’s back to winning for me. You're about to get your ass whooped Shailene, sorry not sorry!" the blonde chuckles towards the end, regaining some of that confidence for herself.

Shailene’s turn and she’s grinning back at her opponent tonight with a look of mixed bemusement. She’s had her fair share of tussles in the ring, losing to Lili Reinhart and Nina Dobrev last year making her want to prove herself against another up-and-comer like Gardner.

“I like Ginny,” she begins with a nod. “There’s some spunk in her that I can empathize with. That being said…there’s a reason she’s lost all her recent fights. Ginny can move but she can’t exactly move mountains. She might just be too soft for this sport. Tonight, I’m looking forward to flooring her and adding another stain to her record. And no, I’m not gonna be sorry either.”

Always a straight shooter, that Shailene, with her comments, and before long, both women are squaring off with their fists raised into each other’s faces at the center podium. They’re trying not to diss each other face-to-face, but Shailene clearly coming out of the pre-fight brimming with more confidence than her counterpart. Ginny on the other hand looking slightly irritated, perhaps by her opponent’s obvious confidence - but hey - she ain’t being paid to look cute here tonight, folks - only to win matches.

Later, Ginny making her way down the ramp to the cheers of the fans, regardless. She may not have perfect confidence in her own abilities yet, but the blonde beauty has definitely grown on the fans thus far, and they clearly want to see her to succeed tonight. Or it could just be the fact that this event we’re at is a Doll Ball, after all, with the home crowd cheering on their home fighters not something unnatural to witness. Ginny is clad in her usual turquoise sports bra and grey tights, with matching boxing gloves, her hair in a bun.

Shailene is out next and there’s plenty of cheers to go around for this Hollywood starlet who’s wearing a white sports bra and black tights when it’s her turn to walk down the ramp. Her hair in a tight ponytail as she bunches up a pair of dark blue gloves to show that she’s ready to fight.
The girls take their places in opposite corners and are making some last moment preparations, jumping up and down as the crowd grows restless with anticipation for the first fight of the night!
With a wave of the referee’s hand, the signal for this Bantamweight contest to begin. HERE we go with ten rounds!

ROUND 1:
And what's this, bold words from the blonde earlier meaning she's willing to back them up with even bolder actions! Traditionally a more defensive fighter in her short career thus far, Gardner surprising everyone in attendance when she flies forward and starts hammering stiff shots into Shailene's guard. The Divergent starlet getting a rough shock as her game plan most certainly didn’t anticipate this aggression from her opponent threatening to shock her in the face in the first minute. Ginny dominating the exchange as a result, middle of the round spanking gloves off the brunette’s toned midriff and at the same time driving her backwards in full retreat. Shailene trying to use the small pockets in between to swing back, but Ginny either blocking those hooks well enough, or swerving completely out of the way. End result is a one-sided affair in the Doll’s favour, in what looks to be a return to form for her if the outcome of this round is any indication.

ROUND 2:
Alas, the aggressive trip doesn’t work on Shailene twice, with the Bazz fighting girl wisely matching Ginny’s movements forward with backtracking, right from the opening bell of the second. Ginny still willing to head right into the lion’s den though, slamming jabs into her arms from afar, but also made more acutely aware of the danger she’s in when one of Shailene’s return hooks rattles her guard up top in turn, with the Doll not prepared at all for that sudden comeback. It suddenly starts to go downhill for her once more, with Shailene seizing the opportunity and flurrying punches into the guard and thereafter thumping the blonde’s undercarriage. This time, Gardner is driven backwards, and there has to be more tricks up her sleeve if she wants to clean out the house going forward. But for now, all Ginny manages to do is duck, cover and scramble, wary of Shailene’s power in close quarters.

ROUND 3:
Surprisingly slow start for the third, with both ladies quite unsure of where to take their respective strategies from here on out. Ginny still wanting to play the role of aggressor though, charging in early whilst shooting jabs at the head, but then again, she gets easily spooked when Shailene does the same to her, forcing her to make the leap backwards to avoid a feint hook or two directed at her head. Shailene smiling behind her gloves, that confidence of hers returning fast as she stalks Ginny forward and crowds her into one corner, one flurry at a time. Look of panic on the Doll’s face as she’s forced suddenly to cover up her head in its entirety, especially when the hooks start flying inwards. Shailene the one turning up the heat and smacking at her arms left and right, before sending an uppercut SMACK into Ginny’s belly button for emphasis that she’s the one in full control here. Gardner just not built for close quarters combat, and risks losing it all if she remains stubborn like this.

ROUND 4:
Finally, the Doll begins to move forwards and back using those long legs of hers, darting deftly about as Shailene prepares to charge at her once more, thinking that she might finish this fight by the fourth. But Woodley gets blindsided when a pair of jabs slam into her cheek, with Ginny’s actions getting cheered on by the crowd as she uses that right hand to hound the head for a good minute or so and her fast feet to let her stay out of trouble. Soon, Ginny us finally seeing some action for herself and racking up the points. Shailene though not giving up without a fight, almost takes the blonde’s head off with a late hook that connects with her stomach, drawing a deep groan from lips, before Ginny manages to deflect the follow-up hook that almost swivels her upper torso about on her feet. She’s suddenly forced to retreat, but it’s only with a couple more seconds left on the clock. Some good action from both sides when the bell rings at the end of three minutes!

ROUND 5:
If Ginny can somehow sustain this momentum of hit-and-run, she’s gonna come out the victor tonight. Then again, if Shailene manages to get her hands on her, it’s as good as over. Repeated tactics of the fourth round as the Doll tries running circles around her foe whilst pestering her with a myriad of jabs to the head, chest and body. Shailene forced to use one hand to block the incoming punches, at the same time still determined to floor the blonde in one swift motion. But that right swing of hers just not landing where she wants it to - sure, she manages to pack in the blonde’s belly on more than occasion, but when it comes to locating Ginny’s head, the cautious girl always creating just enough distance to negate her power. At the end, it’s a close round that goes to Ginny as a result, and we’ve reached the halfway mark of this fight but can’t wait to see what’s left in store!

ROUND 6:
A KNOCKDOWN is what bloody happens, folks, when Shailene decides to RUSH Ginny at the opening bell, hoping to surprise her with jabs flying forward before hooks rattle her ribcage, but Ginny - bless her soul - instinctively sends a right hand BLAST of her own that TORQUES up the middle-field, the uppercut HITS HOME HARD on Shailene’s jawline just as the Bazz starlet gets within close quarters! UGHH. Woodley’s head snapped upwards, before her entire body simply CRUMPLES down to the canvas on the very spot. Her eyes are fluttering wildly and that mouth of hers open in abject shock, gumshield pooling close by! Who knew that Ginny Gardner could pack such a punch!!

Even the audience members are in a sudden state of surprise, taking a long moment before bursting out in cheers of support. A pumped Ginny quickly herded to neutral corner, allowing the referee to get to his job, but it’s really no use - Shailene’s head still lolling from side to side through the count, and she barely makes an effort to get the f*ck off her back at all! He hits the 10-count and WAVES the contest off!

Official Decision: Ginny Gardner defeats Shailene Woodley via KO6!

AFTER:
A big win for Gardner and certainly one that is much needed validation here tonight, after having laid out such a dangerous foe as Woodley flat on the ground like that! The Doll looking very pumped as she raises both arms in triumph! A few moments pass and she finally allows herself a smile, looking relieved to be back in business. Ginny’s grinning and waving to her fans before heading to her own corner to receive her stablemates’ own accolades.

The victorious blonde ignoring Shailene completely during her post-match celebration, busy high-fiving and hugging her crew. Woodley herself is still slumped down on her bum, with her back against the ropes, the medics checking her head to see whether she suffered a concussion back there.

Ginny beaming as she asks for a microphone in the center of the ring and loudly proclaims:
“Guys….don’t you worry about me, I did NOT forget how to win!” she chuckles, still breathing hard from the fight. “I’m still learning and I’m taking my training very seriously, Just ask Kristanna…I’ve made some changes tonight and they paid off! I want to say ‘good fight’ to Shailene here….Even though she tried to rip my head off….” Ginny chuckles. “And I promise you’ll see me kicking WAY more ass this year! Thanks for the support guys! Love you!”

With that, the gorgeous blonde waves to the fans one last time before leaving the ring victorious with the Dollhouse crew behind her.
