Intro:
The second fight tonight sees Bridget Regan and Iggy Azalea look to start the year off right, they lace up the gloves to battle in the Sears Center in Chicago.

Bridget is 37 years old; she stands 5'8, her record stands at 30 wins, 27 coming by way of knockout, with 20 defeats and 1 draw, she is a former three time FCBA welterweight champion.

Iggy is 29 years old; she stands 5'10, her record is 8 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with 8 defeats.

The fighters were interviewed as they stepped into the arena by the FCBA Networks Lucy Liu, with first up Bridget with her coach Angie Everhart beside her, chatting away about their lives it seems.

When they stop with Lucy, they shake her hand before Bridget says "time for me to get back into the firing line" chuckling when Lucy jokes about trying her food before.

Bridget changes the subject to her opponent, saying "this won't be easy tonight, I know Iggy can hit hard from chatting to a few friends who have fought her, I'll be keen not to let her have an easy time hitting me"

Angie butts in to tell Lucy "Iggy might have strength but she hasn't the skill set Bridget has, I am confident it will be my fighter getting her hand raised tonight" making Bridget smile back at her for her faith, they then head off to their locker room.

Soon afterwards Iggy steps into the hallway and when she sees Lucy, she nods to the interviewer as she leans against a wall, her coach being more polite to ask how Lucy is.

Iggy is asked about how she is feeling going into this fight, she answers "I'm feeling great, I have been in the gym working out the issues in my game, you'll see that in the ring tonight"

When she is asked about Bridget, she replies "Bridget is simply a big name for me to put on my record, while I'd have preferred to have hammered her at her best, she still has the reputation of being a great fighter, though I'll bury her career when I am done with her"

She then taps her coaches shoulder to signal she wants to go, the coach thanking Lucy for her time before heading off to their locker room.

Fighting time, Bridget heads out the curtain first with Angie behind her, she is looking her usual intense self as she marches down the aisle.

The American is wearing a black sports bra with a white stripe down each side, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves, her brunette's hair is in a ponytail.

Stepping through the ropes, Bridget heads straight over to her corner, looking focused on the task at hand as she wants to change her run of form into a winning one again.

Iggy heads out with her coach beside her, she bangs her gloves together at the top of the aisle, psyching herself up as she heads straight down the aisle to the ring.

The Australian wearing a green sports bra with yellow stripes down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, yellow gloves, while her blonde hair is up in a ponytail.

Climbing into the ring, she bounces on her toes over to her corner, limbering up as her gaze is firmly on her opponent across the ring.

Heading to the center of the ring, the fighters square up to each other as Iggy is looking to intimidate Bridget, who bumps chests with her in reply, the referee needing to get between them.

After the instructions have been told, they bump gloves with a hard look exchanged, returning to their corners, they are both ready to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Iggy is looking to start off quickly, catching Bridget up the middle with a left/right straight combo, forcing the former champ back straight away.

But as she tries to swing in an overhand left, Bridget ducks it before landing a counter uppercut to open up the blonde to a left hook, showing she won't be bullied around so easily.

Things settle down a bit after a heated exchange, Bridget slamming a double jab into the mouth of Iggy, dodging a right that comes flying at her head to counter with a right to the body of Azalea.

Who after her early blitzkrieg style attack, hasn't had much success as Bridget slips and counter punches her with some beautiful shots across her face.

In the final moments of the round does Iggy land a good left cross, followed by an uppercut to knock back Regan onto her heels, pinning Bridget behind her guard as the bell rings to end the round.

Iggy not looking impressed by herself when she sits on her stool, knowing she needs to do better to win this fight, her coach telling her what she needs to do better.

Round 2:
This time Iggy doesn't simply rush across the ring; while not as exciting, Iggy is picking her punches better now she is settling behind a stiff jab.

Still though Bridget is showing off her skills, dodging punches aimed at her head before firing counter shots into the cheeks of the Aussie to knock her head back.

When Regan steps near a set of ropes though, Azalea bumps her back with her shoulder so she can body up to the American, who is stuck between a rock and a hard place, with the ropes behind her and Iggy bodying up to her.

The referee needing to warn about heads as they grin them together, body shots flying in as Iggy seems to be winning the exchanges in tight with her raw power keeping Bridget from getting off the ropes.

Ending up with Bridget clinching Iggy to get the referee involved in splitting them up, once they are apart Bridget can start landing her double jab into the face of the blonde.

Iggy though ducks under a jab to rifle in a hard right into her gut, an overhand left follows to smack back the actress towards another set of ropes.

When the bell rings to end the round, Iggy pumps her right fist into the air while jogging back to her corner, showing how much more happier she is after a bad first round.

Round 3:
They resume fighting around the center of the ring, Bridget looking slightly the more mobile of the two women, missing with a straight though and eating an overhand left across her jaw.

Iggy follows up with two more punches straight into the mush of Bridget, who finds herself on the defensive as Iggy is almost bulldozer like in her attack.

Keeping in tight to Bridget, she smacks her with an uppercut that knocks Bridget onto the ropes, clinching up with the Aussie before she eats another big hook, Regan looks a little shocked at her cleanly she is being hit.

Once they are apart Bridget tries to box her way back into the round, a right hook s deflected as Iggy steps in with a right across the cheek of the brunette, knocking her around the outside of the ring again as the Azalea corner are up cheering for her.

When the round comes to a close; Bridget looks relieved to get some peace from being hit in a very dominant round for Iggy, who is looking more confident now as she talks to her corner.

Round 4:
Iggy is looking to keep in the face of Bridget, drilling several clean punches up through the mitts of the older fighter, knocking her head back as she takes the center of the ring again.

After Bridget ducks a straight though, the brunette comes up with an overhand left into the ear of Iggy, following up with a right to the mouth of the singer to make her cry out.

Smartly Bridget doesn't get into a firefight with the hard hitting Iggy, instead she is dodging her punches by dipping down, then either countering to the body or the jaw of Azalea.

Who is showing some frustration at not landing as cleanly as before, Iggy finally catches Bridget with a left cross, followed by a right hook that turns Regan's head and sends sweat flying off her.

The final minute of the round sees a little cat and mouth action, Iggy chasing after Bridget, landing mostly single punches compared to Bridget's counter shots.

At the bell they return back to their corner, where they are wiped down and told what they need to do to adapt to win this fight, both women nodding with the instructions.

Round 5:
Moving out their corners, neither looks like they want to make a mistake as they exchange single punches through the others gloves to start.

Before Iggy lands a left cross that opens up Bridget to a straight that knocks her back a step, the singer pressing back the brunette near the ropes.

Needing to shove back Iggy to open up space, Bridget moves off the ropes with a double jab smacking Iggy to her face, moving back when the blonde swings a right hook.

With Iggy trying to step after Bridget, missing a left cross though as Bridget dips down to counter with a right into the liver of Iggy, making the blonde gasp out and step back.

Seeing Iggy is hurting; Bridget steps in with two lefts up top to turn the face of Iggy, when Iggy swings a right hook in, BRIDGET STEPS BACK OUT THE WAY BEFORE LANDING ANOTHER LIVER SHOT THAT SENDS AZALEA TO HER KNEES!

Bridget raises her fists in the air before turning to the neutral corner, 1...2...3.. While Iggy is coughing as she spits her gumshield out, 4....5...6...7.. Iggy is on all fours trying to catch her breath, 8...9....10 staying down for the count!

Winner Bridget Regan KO Round 5

After:
Looking happy to be back in the winners circle, Bridget raises her fists in the air as she heads back over to her corner to get a fist bump from her coaches.

While Iggy sits up on her heels, rubbing her stomach as her coach comes to check on her, she is looking tender as she is helped up to her feet and over to her corner.

Leaning against the turnbuckles; Iggy is looking like she is getting her breath back, her coach telling her "you just were unlucky tonight" with Iggy shaking her head as she knows she got caught too easily for her liking.

Across the ring as Bridget gets her gloves off, Angie telling her "that's more like it, you need to keep going like this, kicking these tramps to the curb to get your title back" Bridget smiling and nodding in agreement.

The women turn back to the center of the ring when asked by the referee, they come together again to give the other a quick stare before they face the crowd, Bridget getting her hand raised to show she is the winner.

When that is done Iggy turns and leaves the ring, not saying a word as she heads up the aisle, her coach just puts their arm around her shoulder to try to console her.

While in the ring Bridget poses with her arms at her side, smiling as the cameras flash taking her picture, Bridget thanks her supporters before turning to leave the ring.

Walking up the aisle with Angie, both will be hoping this is the beginning of Bridget moving back into that title picture, can she move back there this year?
