Before: You Can’t wipe the grin off Mish Williams’ face. “I’ve had my name inscribed on the Beating of the Year Award 3 years running and I think I’ve just inked my 4th!” she tells reporters. “Not making any predictions, but Christina’s got the look of a girl who’ll take it for 10.” Ricci plucky as ever--she’s got a good attitude coming in, but if she can just break up the rout, win a few minutes and extend this thing, she’ll be doing well. Silver/grey velvet bikini Ricci. Black push up, panties, white lace trim Mish.

During R1: Mish charging the mound, stampeding Ricci to the ropes and going bell to bell on little Christina, Good old Romping Mish at her best, pushing Ricci deep into the ropes with extended arms, then stepping in with gut wrenching rights--just packing in the punishment as Chrissy wilts. Nothing scientific about it--just one blonde stacking another up and plunging right hands into creamy midriff, swiping rude right forearm across jug and jamming shock-rights to jaw. Ricci all rag dolled, pressed and pounded--she’s woozy after 3 of the longest minutes of her life.

R2: Funny thing happens on the way t the beat down: Ricci fights back. Chris meeting Mish midring this time, girls fall in together behind right hands, come up wrestling and scrabbling on the inside--lots of rough tousle rubbing, arm pushing action. Ricci rotating her shoulders well, picking up Mish’s tummy--Williams trying to push off and step in her hook to the waistline. Down the stretch, Ricci with a clouting series of short rights on the chin, compact lefts across the breasts manages to back Mish up, spoiling Williams dreams of a 10-0 rout, Ricci on the board, chest heaving with defiance--Mish held back by the ref as tempers boil over at the bell.

R3: Muscular Mish makes her presence felt, locking up with Ricci midring, and strong-stepping her straight back into the ropes. Stack and pack from Mish--pushing to get separation, stepping in to get leverage, wrapping up to pin Ricci down, it’s classic mauling stuff. Little Chris struggling, trying ti walk her way off the ropes, but Mish keeps bodying her back., holding her down, working her over. Ricci’s tummy trembling from abuse, jugs red--Williams reaching under the girl’s arms and chesting her to ropes at the bell, refusing to let her go until ref intervention..

R4: Mish sailing in--Ricci with some nice short, hooks and right hands stands her ground and actually nails Williams flush enough to stop her momentum. Williams forced to trade midring, hands at chest and stomach--she’s just twisting on her hips, clobbering Ricci wide to the shoulders, flanks, and jaw. Little Ricci standing form, hands up at her temples, getting shaken, but coming back with little contact uppercuts, dipping her knees and sampling Mish’s ribs--Chris being stubborn tonight. Down the stretch, girls trade hooks and Mish doesn’t like it--she steps to the right, shaking her head and eats a CLANGING hook on the tip of her chin! Williams caught blind, never sees it and she’s WOBBLY BUTT! Williams wandering to her right--Ricci pouncing, pouring over Mish’s left shoulder with Hail Mary right hands, stunning the ex-champ wide eyed. Mish tilting forward, starring as she fields rights on her jaw, drifting slowly right and MISH GOES DOWN! Williams in slumber, mouthing the mat and it’s OVER! KO4 Christina Ricci!!!!’’

After: Stop the balloting for Upset of the Year--we have our winner! Christina Ricci bouncing around the ring in unbridled ecstasy--she lays out the monster favourite and all around bully Mish Williams in one of the most cataclysmic events to rock boxing this year. Mish coming around all mumbling and blubbery--she’s can’t accept the verdict and IT’S NOT OVER! Happy Chris bubbles over and scoops up drowsy Mish about the waist, taking her for a girlish walk of  shame, then jamming her face first in the corner, propping the left leg in the ropes for extra humiliation. Ricci climbs the ropes over top and behind Mish, left hand in the blonde’s sweaty hair, right fist thrust to the air in celebration--what a picture for BLONDE! Magazine’s feature on the fight.
