Before: Big step up for Biel - Jlo as good a pure pressure fighter as the lightweight division has to offer - she'll test Jessica's cutey-pie style to the limit. JB has the tools, the legs to put Lopez in compromising positions - questions remain about the chin and heart - what's going to happen when she takes a Lopez hook flush on the button, or spends a few rounds with her butt in the ropes, getting her body beaten? We'll see. Lopez in BI battle dress - Jessica in black push up bra, yellow and black horizontal stripe trunks - bumblebee pattern re-inscribed on the gloves, boots are black with yellow laces, hair up.

During R1: Lopez bringing insane pressure, working Biel to the ropes and systematically punishing her. Jlo beating the arms, flanks with short clubbing punches, occasionally hacking in around an elbow to get at the back. Jlo strong, pushing with extended arms to separate, then stepping forward to really sink the hook in to Biel's toned midriff. Jessica with a hangdog look at the bell - welcome to Latina boxing Ms. Biel.

R2: Lopez on Biel again - Jessica can't get her back off the ropes. Biel hands up, turning her shoulders, rolling blows well, moving her head, clinching greasy when she can, but Lopez isn't interested upstairs. Jlo forehead on chest, using her shoulders and extended elbows to keep Jessica pinned down, and beating her about the hips, ribs and belly. Lopez with more brawny pushing, creating room on the inside, then stepping with murderous hooks - crowd roaring in excitement every time she really digs into Biel. Withering work has Biel shopworn down the stretch, legs are shot, she's swaying on her hips - crowd roaring as Jlo puts bashing punches together but can't get Jess out of there. Biel staggery, bleeding from a busted lip - Lopez beaming, bouncing to her corner.

R3: Lopez on Biel, hacking, chopping, bludgeoning her at the ropes, but Jessica's getting the rhythm. Biel relaxed, hands at chest and stomach, no abrupt movements, but she's getting her head side to side, turning her shoulders, slipping punches well and she's finally answering back off Lopez misses. Jess dipping right to swipe the hook across Jen's jugs or taste that Latina belly, twisting left to smack Lopez' chops the tight right hand. Midway through, Lopez all shined up from clean counters, backs off blinking, legs a little shook - Biel steps off the ropes and gets the jab cranking. Jessica able to take over, move this thing to midring - doing good work on Lopez' left eye from outside.

R4: Biel using her legs, using the ring, she's changed the tenor of this fight. Jessica so smooth on her feet, easing back from Lopez aggression, jabbing to pick the Latina up, stepping around to turn her and diffuse the pressure. Biel setting up right hands with jabs, feints - she's getting good flinch out of Lopez, chin-checking Jlo consistently with curling overhand rights, poking rising rights, chopping rights with thumb to the ceiling.

R5: Biel's got her distance - she's conscientiously going to work on Lopez tender left eye. Jabs banging away as Jlo crosses her arms, bends at the waist. Biel stepping right, getting a groove for the right hand on the left eye, even chopping a little hook in on it from off Jlo's left shoulder. Lopez coming forward but getting chewed up, not setting up on her girl's chest and she's finding Biel's lanky range a problem.

R6: Biel loose n' pretty in there - easing around Jen, jabbing the eye closed after heartless work and that's making the right hand more deadly. Biel able to step right and shoot clean lead rights, landing three in succession at one point to clap the mouthpiece off Jlo's teeth. Lopez soaking up punches to her head and chin like a trooper - Biel just making contact and getting out of Dodge - she shuts Jlo out this round. Lopez busted up, attended to her in her corner - trainers urging her to get back on the body and out work the kid on the inside.

R7: Good first minute from Jen backs Biel to the ropes, but once again, Jessica able to counter effectively, getting side to side swipes in, chopping up Jlo's face and tummy while slipping a lot of Latina leather. Lopez backing off, face all spanked and shiny - Biel stepping forward confidently, getting her jab back on the punished beauty. All Jessica down the stretch - she's got Lopez bending forward all cramped up - Biel getting sobering leverage on hooks behind the elbow, swatting rights against the left eye, nasty-slick left uppercuts on the overhanging chin.

R8: Biel stepping right, closing up the shoulder then just smoothing in the right hand clean on the chin - she puts Lopez wobbly butt off a series of step-and-shoot connects that has Latina on her heels. Biel jabbing to tummy, stepping right, keeps turning Jlo, circling to the blind side. Lopez determined, jabbing up out of her crouch and finally closing the distance - she gets her head under Jessica's chin and packs punches to belly effectively enough to get Biel clinching to the bell.

R9: Early pressure from Lopez - Biel flat footed, wide stance with back to ropes, using that relaxed upperbody to take the bite off Jlo's punching, swatting, swiping back in crowd-pleasing toe to toe. Once again, Lopez backs out, chastened by Biel's smooth counters and unshakeable resolve - JB taking over with the jab in the second minute, banging away to the left side of Lopez' head. Final moments - Biel stepping right, left hand pawing at Lopez' chest - Jessica steps into a cracking right cross to bend Lopez deep at the knee. Jlo locking up, bending forward - crowd screaming - Biel scoots left, hooks the kidney, sweeps the right to the belly, dips and picks Jen's chest up a beefy right hand at the bell. Jlo all a-swoon - Biel helping herself to a healthy chunk of buttock as they pass.

R10: No quit in Jlo - she's all shined up and worked over, but she marches out, jabs rigid to chest, stubbornly works Biel to ropes and climbs aboard. Biel defensive, laying against the ropes, turning her shoulders, dipping her head down, using her shoulders to nudge against Lopez. Jennifer chopping and hacking at the chest, shoulders, top of the head - hooking wide around the flank, using her shoulder and elbow to prop Biel back up. Good stuff, both girls finish strong, alert - but both know who won this thing at the bell. UD10 wide, Jessica Biel.

After: Lopez beautiful face a battered wreck - Biel doing yeoman's work all night long with smooth, accurate combinations. Jessica most impressive off the ropes, countering the crap out of Jlo and turning back the aggressive Latina time and again. Turning point came in the third as Jessica got Jlo's respect off the ropes and never looked back. "I'm ready for the big dogs," says a confident WB starlet. "I'd like to go back and make sure of Daniel, then line 'em up - Garner, Berry, Allen, Charisma - I'll roll those names up. I don't know if I'm ready for the ol' cougar yet (Bell) but I'm comin' and Diaz doesn't impress me."
