BEFORE: "I've actually got a lot of respect for Decesare," says heavily favoured Evangeline in prefight. "Playmates have often been more show than substance in the past, but she's really worked hard to get rounds in, tighten up her game, and put together a legit package. I've had trouble with sleek girls like this before, so I know it's important to get on 'em, hurt 'em, and work 'em. As long as you see me on top of her at the ropes, digging - you'll know I'm winning the fight."

Carmella bright-eyed: exotic brunette finally getting the calibre of competition she's been working towards. "I've invested a lot of blood, sweat and tears getting to this point," Carmella admits. "Fighting Evangeline is a real milestone for me, and I want it to be a good one. I'll compete - savagely if necessary - and make her fight for every inch of canvas. I know she wants to come forward and dominate me inside, but I've got solutions for that. Don't be surprised to see Evangeline taking as good as she's giving if we get head to head!"

During R1,2: Lilly springy, attacking in and out - she's pasting Carmella lefts and rights, startling Decesare with face-strikes. Deech beaten quickly to perimeter: she's on her heels, wide-eyed, pushing out punches, missing; Lilly abrupt, switching herself into sudden lefts or rights, smashing at Carmella's head and chest. Carmella relatively sturdy - punched along all four aprons with back to ropes, but taking a good shot. Healthy shutout rounds for Lilly as she works up a sweat on Carmella through 2.

R3: Carmella adjusts - lifting the up-jab off hip to intercept Lilly, breaking her rhythm. Deech leggy - playing poke-and-lope - using the ring. Lilly patiently stalking, weaving her head side to side - by the final minute she times Decesare's poke, jumps in a vicious hook to chin: DOWN GOES CARMY! Decesare punched to her buns near the ropes - legs outstretched, eyes blinking in wonder as she sits up pretty. Lilly steals a Decesare round with compact, sudden stroke.

R4: Lilly launching her first body punches of the contest, willing to take Carmella's jab if necessary. Decesare: lips curled back off teeth; left snapping up off hip to jab, or curling lanky to hook at Lilly. Evangeline resolute - weaving her way in, savagely bouncing tight right/lefts off Carmy's ribcage, then duck-and-pivoting out to the side. Fan-friendly stuff and Carmella's combative, simply outgunned by intense Lilly torso attack.

R5: Lilly pressing Carmella, Evangeline staring at that willowy torso with bad intentions. Evangeline weaving in - EATS THE RIGHT UPPERCUT! Carmy getting it sweet - arching her back, weight on right (back) foot to pick up Lilly's chin...Evangeline swoons off course, staggering to her right with dazed expression. CARMELLA OVER TO OFFENCE! Long, lithe lass takes it to stocky, muscular foe - sleek left uppercuts all bendy-backed, ticketed for Lilly's chin; swinging right buggy-whips lashing at Lilly's flank. Evangeline battered about the ring - crowd screaming as Lilly takes rip after rip: fabulously conditioned athlete absorbing a tremendous wailing, simply refusing to go down. Carmy seething - loping hungrily after wilting prey - touching at Evangeline, propping at her, then stroking on the hurt: wonderful pursuit from Decesare has Lilly staggering, all but out at the bell!

R6,7: Lilly's face lumping up badly: Evangeline fights conservative rounds to get her legs back, contain her foe, and start to stabilize the front. Decesare breathing hard after monster bid to stop Lilly in the fifth - she attacks in spots, but not having the same impact with her power shots when she comes forward. Evangeline pre-empting Decesare with the body jab, then sidestepping her: Lilly willing to trade canvas for time, luring Carmella forward, then countering her head and body. Decesare neglecting her jab - she's looking to close and stroke - leaning sinewy into rights off her hip and succulent, bendy-backed left uppercuts. Carmella's assaults diffused - Lilly nibbling, turning, proving a canny boxer as she wears down Decesare's attack, claiming steadily to Carmella's body throughout.

R8: Carmella mouthbreathing, frowning with concern: she's hurting to the body. Lilly cautiously pressing the attack, very wary of Decesare's sleek right uppercut now: Evangeline weaving her head side to side, spitting out jabs head and body before committing. Carmella poked into defensive earmuffs: Lilly taking advantage with thumping right/lefts off the ribs and tummy - small mitts bouncing off taut playmate torso. Vicious two-beat punching as hard as Carmella's ever had it to the body: more than once she cringes on receipt, elbows in close to her ribs as knees bend deep.

R9: When Evangeline Lilly hurts girls to the body, she's a brute, stepping up the pace and intensity of her attacks. Evangeline springy again, stiff-arming jabs body-head, then darting in with palm-down hooks high/swinging right roundhouses loud to Carmy's left flank. Decesare biting back cries of pain, limping away from Lilly with how-could-you eyes: Decesare's long legs trembling, lissome body throbbing. Dying moments see Lilly bounce a wicked right off Carmy's ribs, then dig an evil hook to her belly: Decesare groans, buckling forward hands on knees, but refusing to go down. Evangeline unsure what to do, thinking Carmella might be quitting: bell sounds before either girl can act.

R10: Decesare SO brave: snarling, she wades into Lilly with a lanky right uppercut - left arm straight and out behind Carmella as she digs in. Subsequent exchange sees both women land: Decesare determined to compete as Lilly looks to bully her. Expensive advance for Evangeline - she's clipping to chin and belly, but those sudden, switching left/rights swinging at Carmella's head and chest beat her back. Latter half the round a mopping up operation for Lilly: she pursues wilting Decesare along the aprons - bopping in and out, hammering her ribs and face in two beat combinations. Carmella battered late, but defiant: she keeps her feet, goes the distance in the face of heavy Lilly fire. UD10 Evangeline Lilly.

After: Evangeline with a quick hug and words of praise for Carmella in aftermath: lanky Playmate proves a competitor in defeat, enjoying at least one dominant round in which Evangeline tottered on the brink of defeat. "She caught me," a puffy, but upbeat Lilly admits in postfight. "Right uppercut: we knew she was looking for that punch and I walked right into it! I felt pretty good for the most part - I'm faster, more explosive, so I held initiative for almost the whole fight - but she's tougher than I thought she would be - more stubborn. She fought really hard - people were thinking Ali Mack would have been tougher test for me, but I'm not so sure. I think my body work extracted more quit out of Alison than it did Carmella."
