Intro:
The third fight in the European Cup quarter final sees Karolina Kurkova and Alina Vacariu now take the stage, a semi final spot awaits the winner against either Elsa Hosk or Cara Delevingne.

Heading into this fight, Karolina the favourite down to experience, Alina showed in her first round fight against Elisabetta Canalis that experience doesn't count much if she can unload her power punches, both women knowing as big hitters so it may purely come down to who lands their bomber like punches first.

Before the fight Alicia Atout got word for the FCBA Network with the fighters in their locker room, first heading into the Lioness Club locker room to see Karolina talking to her coach Mel B as her sister stablemate Minka Kelly warmed up with her coach.

Karolina turned to Alicia to tell her "come in, I am just describing to Mel how I plan on posting Alina a one way trip back to the BBU, just deciding if I should break her jaw or give her a nose job to improve her looks" grinning as Mel chuckles.

Asked how she is feeling about tonights task of needing to win three fights to win the tournament, Karolina shrugs her shoulders as she replies "good workout I guess, I don't expect Alina to do much, Elsa and Cara don't scare me one bit, maybe I'll get a tough fight in the final, not sweating that either to be honest" getting her hands tapped up as she speaks.

The Czech stunner finishes "look I am here to win it all, this isn't about making a name for myself, this is about bringing that trophy home for my cabinet at home, I deserve something in it after all the wars I've been in" Mel waving Alicia to leave, which she does after nodding to both women.

Heading into the Romanian locker room, Alina is going through punching drills to loosen up, she doesn't look at Alicia as she says "I am busy darling" making Alicia begin to turn around.

Alina tells her "I'll give you a quick word, Karolina is a washed up bytch, the fact I have to get past her doesn't bother me one bit, after I smash each fighter out my way to win this thing, I hope I get the respect and my stable does as well, we are not here to make up any numbers, ask Canalis about that" she then turns back to warm up with her coach, Alicia thanking her for her time before she retreats away in case Alina gets annoyed at her.

Fighting time in Ireland's 3Arena; out comes Karolina with Melanie beside her, she looks her usual cocky self as she smirks while strutting down the aisle, showing she is confident it will be her hand raised tonight with the trophy in her grasp.

She is wearing a white bikini with red trim, red gloves, while her blonde hair is tied back into a ponytail, she steps inside the ropes with a big smile as she waves Alina to come out and fight her.

The Romanian doesn't wait too long to march out, Alina looks in fighting mode as her eyes focus on the ring, she throws a few punches as she looks a little tense.

She is wearing a yellow bikini with red trim, blue gloves, her brunette hair is tied into a braid, stepping into the ring, she gives the fans a quick wave but bounces on her toes in her corner looking ready to get at Karolina.

Referee smartly stays between these two feisty women, who have hands on their hips as eyes lock, the tension clear for all to see, plenty of pride on the line.

Bumping gloves into their opponent's with a thud, the fighters return to their corners with the crowd cheering, bell rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
At the bell neither moves too much when they meet at the center, trading stiff punches around or through the others guards, trying to give their opponent a good taste of their power.

Karolina looks to be enjoying the exchange more as she uses her reach to keep back Alina at range, landing more punches in the exchanges as she grins.

But a missed right cross leaves her open to a chopping left to the jaw, an uppercut to the body follows as Kurkova groans out, Alina stepping inside to body up to her opponent.

While Karolina is a good inside fighter, she is being nudged backwards by the left forearm of Vacariu, who is hammering her right into the body of the veteran to drive her backwards.

Nudging back Alina, Karolina tries to land a wild right that finds nothing but air, the Romanian landing a double jab into the mouth of Kurkova to snap her head back.

With Karolina nudged to the ropes, both women trade hard shots, Karolina trying to fight her way off the ropes, Alina wanting to pin her to them.

At the bell the crowd is cheering both women, Alina bangs her gloves together as she stares at Karolina, who mouths "bytch" at her in reply before they head to their corners.

Round 2:
Stepping out their corners with their eyes firmly locked, the fighters move a little more around each other, Karolina swinging her big right hook more as she seems to want to get the respect of Alina.

Who is targeting the abs of Kurkova, moving inside to work away before she is shoved back to the outside, proving a nuisance for the veteran so far.

When Vacariu tries to step inside after the opening minute, Karolina times her beautifully with a left cross to her cheek, a straight pushes back Alina to the outside part of the ring.

Karolina now switching up a gear, bashing back her opponent along the ropes, Alina forced to get behind her guard as she finds herself under real pressure now.

Pushing back Karolina when she sees an opening, Alina moves to space and resets herself, landing some crisp punches to keep Karolina from bulldozing her again.

In the final moments of the round though Karolina lands a sweet jab/right cross combo to turn the head of Alina, who scowls at Karolina as the Czech fighter taunts her to bring it on, referee between them as tempers flare.

Round 3:
Both come out with the mindset to establish their game plan now, cheeks getting marked up by cross punches as they go toe to toe to the delight of the crowd.

Plenty of pride by both women on show, they exchange taunts when they separate, telling the other to bring it on as they circle near the ring center.

Alina is the one to break the deadlock with half the round gone, she dips under a right cross to land an overhand left to the jaw, followed by an uppercut to the body.

Pressing back Karolina to the ropes, Alina nearly headbutts the Czech fighter on her chin as she buries her fists into the abs and the underside of Kurkova's boobs, making the Lioness fighter groan out with each clean hit.

Clinching up with Alina, Karolina looks pissed off, she hates being bullied back by all opponents, the referee needing to break them apart when the rabbit punches behind the head start coming.

The remainder of the round sees Karolina looking to land that big right, Alina dodges though before landing sweet counter punches that rock back the head of Kurkova.

Who at the bell looks to the heavens and mumbles something under her breath, Mel not happy with her fighter for as she sees it taking too many chances that just are not there.

Across the ring Alina is being told to keep wearing down Karolina, all it takes is one mistake from her opponent and this will be a short fight in their eyes.

Round 4:
Doubling up her jab more to keep Alina at range, Karolina is setting her right up better now, sending sweat off the head of the Romanian fighter, giving Melanie more to smile about.

That doesn't mean Alina isn't having some success up the middle, driving to the inside after slipping a straight to pound left hook into those ribs, Karolina wincing with each clean hit before she can shove back the smaller fighter.

As they keep exchanging momentum, Karolina catches Alina to her ear with a left hook, a straight between the mitts of Alina causes blood to run from her nose.

Seeing that blood makes Karolina up the tempo, she is landing more punches straight into the face of Alina, snapping back the head of Vacariu with each clean hit.

Clinching up to stop the rhythm of Kurkova, Alina looks over to her corner for answers it seems, both digging to the others kidneys with a free hand, neither holding anything back from punishing their rival.

Separated by the referee, Alina is able to land two body shots in, with a left cross clipping across her brow just before the bell rings to end the round.

Returning to their corners, the Romanian corner work on stopping the blood from Alina's nose, happy in their eyes that it is just a small bleed and nothing worse.

Round 5:
Alina is looking to up the tempo it seems, nearly clashing heads with Karolina to move to the inside, both fighters tag each other around the sides of their bodies and kidneys, breasts bumping as it becomes a power struggle.

A nudge to the face of Alina by Karolina allows the Czech to open up space, landing a right cross to the jaw of Alina, who backs off with a glare for Karolina.

They step back in closer with Karolina this time catching Alina with an uppercut, knocking back the head of Vacariu, pounding more punches flush into her face.

The guard of Alina is leaking punches like a sieve, her nose is bleeding more freely as she tries to fire back at Karolina, the volume of punches smacking her backwards though is making that impossible right now.

A left cross sends Alina into the ropes, she is looking a mess as she just looks at Karolina angrily, guard wide open AS THE RIGHT HOOK CRASHES ONTO HER CHIN, GUMSHIELD GOES FLYING AS ALINA TUMBLES FACE DOWN TO THE CANVAS!

The referee nudges a gloating Karolina away so the count can begin, 1..2...3...4.. Alina is groaning as her head turns to the left, blood dripping off her nose to the canvas, 5...6...7.. Eyes still firmly shut as 8...9...10 that's it for Alina's tournament!

Winner Karolina Kurkova KO Round 5

After:
Seen as one of the favourites from the outset of the tournament, Karolina produces another brutal knockout in a career full of them, she flexes her arms as she heads over to Alina.

Standing with a foot either side of the downed Alina, Karolina poses as she tells her beaten rival "you don't match up to me in anyway honey, take tonight as a lesson to stay out of the ring with me if you know what's best for you" as Alina tries to push herself up, Karolina presses her back down with her right foot.

When she is satisfied she has made her point, Karolina heads off back to her corner, looking happy with her work so far tonight, hoping she can finish off her opponents like that two more times tonight to claim the cup.

Alina on the other hand has to be helped up by her coach, she looks angry with how her tournament story has ended, after a great opening win in the tournament, she was bulldozed in the end.

Her coach telling her to keep her chin up, this was a great learning experience for her and they can go back to the BBU knowing where she can improve upon, Alina thanking her coach for still believing in her.

The fighters come to the center of the ring after being cleaned up, they exchange a cold stare as Alina doesn't look to be finished with Karolina in future, tonight might be just the beginning of these two story with each other.

It is Karolina though getting her hand raised, telling the crowd "the cup is coming home with me" to cheers from her supporters, other fans booing her as she just smirks at them.

While Alina steps out the ring with her coach, she doesn't have anything to be ashamed of tonight, she pushed Karolina but once hurt she needs to learn how to defend herself better in those situations.

Karolina on the other hand can look forwards to a semi final against either Elsa Hosk or Cara Delevingne, she tells her coach Melanie "I don't care which of those bytches I have to beat next, I am winning this tournament" making Melanie smile hearing that level of confidence from her fighter.

For now they leave the ring knowing it is best Karolina probably rests before warming back up, maybe watching the next fight closely as they head up the aisle to the back stage area.
