Before: Scrappy little pugs, but for Rachael Leigh, similarities end there. “You Can’t compare Amy  to me,” says the veteran Cook. “I’m a polished pro, I know my way around a boxing ring--Amy’s in way over her head.” Davidson reacting to the rhetoric, refuses to be dismissed. “I’m tuff and I’m a hard puncher--I know that much. I know Cook’s been around, but there’s a fine line between being a veteran and being washed up and I hate to say it, but Rachael’s looking a little shopworn. She thinks she’s the boss coming in, but I think when I put her down she’s going to realize that the sun has set on her potential.” Ouch! Amy in forest green lace bra and panties, black shoes--tawdry baby blue cashmere two piece Rache, white boxing slippers, baby blue cashmere leg warmers thick about the shins.

During r1: Girls join each other in a phone booth--bumping, pushing into each other. Rache in a nice rhythm, squirming up close, matching Amy’s physicality, then pulling out just far enough to swipe a clouting hook across Amy’s teeth. Davidson getting clipped again and again--then re-engaging Rachael in body-to-body struggling., Davidson no worse for wear, often walking Cook backwards but the punching is all Rachael as she sneaks leather onto jaw in the first.

R2: Similar stuff--girls fighting off the push, fighting out of the lock up. Moist little gruntings and exhalations in there--backsides jiggling as stocky legs dig in and stamp, trying to bull the other girl backwards. Both enjoy moments of pushing supremacy, but again, Cooks the cleverer puncher--easing out for room, clouting Amy, then squirming in close with her again. Davidson answering back to the body, but she’s being smothered when she’s punching--not much getting into Rachael--basically just pushing leather into hips and back.

R3: Same again--Davidson working hard, maybe too hard: she’s spending a lot of energy just wrestling and pushing against Rachael. Cook straining guard to hold ground, but smart enough to give ground in spots, walking Amy into clout. Most scoring blows: that short, swiping left hook of Cook’s, ticketed for Amy’s chin. Both girls warned for excessive tousle-scrubbing--faces are red and raw from mutual grinding.

R4: Davidson really competing hard, obsessed with pushing Rachael backwards, but she’s getting outfoxed, walked into punches. Davidson’s chin holding up superbly, but Cook’s getting the right uppercut as well as the hook now--punctuating all the wrestling and shoving with good clean clouts. Nice right hand in close pounds against Amy’s left eye, startling her--Rachael’s able to wade forward behind a convincing barrage if lefts and rights to the breasts to take the fourth round strong at the bell.
R5: Little Amy breaking down--starting to get discouraged. Rachael coming forward, getting shoulder to shoulder with Davidson where both mix it up well, but when there’s space, Cook’s getting the better of it. Rache showing a stubby, effective jab--bumping it between Amy’s eyes and dropping a tasty right hand short to jaw, Rache getting hooks as she hops in, or eases out--Amy starting to get used to it, forfeiting it, eating too much. Cook with some nice step-arounds has Amy turning midring--brunette helping herself to jug off the spin as Amy’s lips part in protest at the bell, Cook happy, upbeat in her corner, chirping “D’ja see me smoking her jugs? She’s hurting!”

R6: Spirited slugging--Amy still trying to win, but only looking good when Rachael gets shoulder to shoulder and trades body blows inside. Stepping out, Cook can almost always bank on that cheeky hook on Amy’s chin or short right hands over Amy’s left shoulder. Rachael’s jab not a real stern poke, but it’s the only jab in the fight: Davidson waiting her turn, taking dictation like a good girl through 6. Cook mocking, “You face is swelling, Amy!” upon separation, her voice like a bright, shiny bell. Davidson scowling.

R7: Amy tiring: too many Cook hooks on the chin. Rache hopping in aggressively, swiping hook to jaw, carrying her body into Amy and backing her up: stubborn redhead legs no longer holding their ground as Davidson’s back hits ropes, Rachael pressing her attack to Amy’s body now--tidying up breadbasket as groaning redhead reached to push back Cook’s pumping arms. Rachael working hard, ignores the bell--she’s piling on extra as Amy sits in the ropes, prompting outrage from Davidson corner. “Poor Baby!” Cook taunts as she’s led away by the ref: Davidson’s cheeks hot with shame as Rachael’s trash leaves a mark.

R8: Rachael working at Amy, hooking her chin, bumping her back, hooking her as Davidson backs up--punches add up and finally drop an exhausted Amy to her backside at the minute mark. Rachael yelping with pleasure, jogging to neutral corner, eyes dancing happily at the sight of ramshackle Amy. Davidson up slowly, eyes glassy--brave little vixen’s absorbed a boatload of chin-checks tonight and ON COMES RACHAEL! Cook bouncing, punching, dragging her mitts back and forth across Amy’s breasts, then turning her shoulder into those fight-winning hooks. Amy’s head starting to swivel--she’s breaking down. Davidson standing shabby, hands low, pushing at Rachael--Cook attempting, hooking freely at Amy’s mouth now, doubling up the punch, clapping the short right hand to Davidson’s swelling left eye and THE REF JUMPS IN! Amy on the verge if going down saved by the official--redhead breaks into sobbing tears if disappointment as Rachael struts away TKO8 victrix.

After: Cook pounding out the verdict in convincing fashion--some close rounds, but Rache takes ‘em all en route to stopping feisty Davidson toe-to-toe, “I did what I wanted to do, what I had to do, “ says an exited Rachael in post fight. “Right away I saw she was a sucker for my hook, so I just stayed ion her chin, kept getting my touches. I was very consistent tonight--Amy was more and more broken down each and every round and that’s what I need to do to be successful, I feel like this was a terrific fight for me--I really showed I belong in the upper echelon at 100, and more importantly: Amy doesn’t.” ouch, Rachael. Cook doing as much damage with her tongue as she did her fists tonight.
