During R1: Crisp precision from Cruz early: she's rotating clockwise, stitching a tart jab to Ledoyen's brows. Minute mark: swift right hand drops for Cruz, biting at Virginie's chin: early test sees Ledoyen stepping in fence post holes. Cruz quickly upon disorganized Virginie - flurry of Spanish lefts and rights takes French vixen in her stomach, breasts and head, buffetting her about. Ledoyen sputtering, but stubborn: she refuses to go down under intense pasting; starts answering back in the final minute. Slender limbed toe-to-toe slugging late halts Pene's advance: Virginie able to hold a line in canvas as crowd goes apeshit at the heartfelt two-way pitching.

R2: Ledoyen proves the equal of Cruz as a pretty boxer: Virginie's turn to wheel-left, use her jab to control her foe. Ledoyen sticking Pene body and head - stiff-arm technique keeping Cruz from comeing forward. Ledoyen deploying hardhearted right hands against Pene's proud chest - right-to-left swing smiting Cruz's jugs, smudging 'em aside. Pene enraged, slugs in angry reprisal: cool Virginie slips wide swings, digging back at hated Spanish ribs hooks and sidearm right hands off the counter. Pene panting at the bell, seething - ref separating flashing-eyed beauties as neither wants to back off.

R3: Say what you will about Penelope Cruz, her left-hand technique is exquisite. Spanish girl treats French girl shabby with facial jabs and hooks - picking away at Virginie while pivoting clockwise about the ring. Pene's dark eyes dancing: nothing makes her happier than scoring against Virginie's face. Ledoyen turning, crouching, keeping dukes up, but it's mostly futile: Pene's clever left hand finding the mark more often than not. Ledoyen answering with overhand rights delivered straight/palm-down to Pene's midsection: stiff punches break Spanish rhythm, but can't win the round as Cruz chips away for points.

R4: Virginie hopping in, driving forward with a much more committed version of that straight right to Pene's slender body: Cruz wilts under the assault. Pene pretty as she shouts in pain, pouts in protest - she's driven before Virginie as Ledoyen's power answers Pene's class. Minute mark - Pene's legs shaky - long lashes beading up with tears as she moves away, trying to catch her breath. Patient stalking from Virginie - she cuts off the ring, continues to drive in palm-down rights to Cruz' middle, eventually buckling Pene's knees, sending her to ropes. Cruz crying, hugging her little body: she turns her right shoulder into the cables, leaning against ropes as Virginie squares away and RELEASES THE HOUNDS! Ledoyen just lathering Pene senseless - rights and lefts bouncing off Pene's sleek left side: hip, back, flank, shoulder, skull. Pene cringing, trying to put her head through the ropes to escape Virginie's pulverizing fists and the REF STEPS IN! Virginie overwhelms Pene TKO4.

After: Ledoyen a pretty prancer, beaming at an adoring audience, grinning huge as she passes by a screaming and inconsolable Spaniard who can't believe she's been stopped. Virginie removes gloves, primps her hair, waves to the crowd, then just can't leave well enough alone. French vixen struts to Pene in the midst of Spanish melt-down, yanking Pene out of her corner for a wretched walk of shame. Cruz shaming herself with hysterics - stamping her feet, tears streaming down her cheeks as Virginie wheels her about, poses her in the corners. Virginie just beaming, obviously loving Pene's distress.
