UD10 Carrere!!!

It was supposed to be a Cindy C homecoming romp--Crawford looking to ease back into the middleweight scene with a well-traveled Carrere cast in the role of tomato can. Tia never looks good at Middle, doesn’t carry the weight well and hadn’t had a big win since upsetting Charlize Theron some years back,. But Tia is a solid Fuentes-class veteran who can still fight and with the odds makers against her, Carerre turned back the clock to a quarter-past Tia-Time to bang out the upset.

Seconds into the first round, Carerre showed Crawford the canvas with a patented silky roll and counter--detonating a flat right hand square off the sternum to put Cindy gasping on her buttocks. From that point on, Cindy knew that the promised cakewalk would never materialize and instead, one of the best seesaw big woman bouts of recent memory began to play out in slam-bang fashion.

Crawford boxed to take the next two rounds, Tia long right hands on the jaw, the tieing up, executing punch and clutch to perfection, Carrere began to work her way inside and hammered out the 4th and 5th, savagely going at Crawford midsection and ribcage, battering Cindy as she stood up straight at the topes to take. In the sixth, Cindy got a vicious right uppercut off the ropes to put Tia wobbly butt, reversing position on the Asian and beating her brutally about the hips and flanks against the ropes, Tia roared back in the seventh, rolling her left shoulder under Cindy’s shots and plowing right back in the seventh, rolling her left shoulder under Cindy’s shots and plowing back right hands into the body--when  Carerre started putting the hook on top, Crawford got dropped to the canvas for the second time--a dazed, shellshocked look in her eyes. Tia would outwork Crawford in the 8th, fighting off the taller girl’s chest, bullying her to the ropes, but the steam was leaving Carrere’s punches as the weight started to catch up with her. It was all Cincy C in the final 6 minutes and she got after Tia with a fearsome barrage of long-armed hooks and crosses. Carerre staggered about the ring, covered up stupid, shipping hurt in her body, getting picked up hard on her chin and with seconds ticking awasy in the tenth, a crashing Crawford right finally dropped Carerre in a neutral corner. Tia climbed the ropers, swaying on numb legs, eyes half closed, hands drooping, but time would run out on the Crawford rally. Tia Carrere’s veteran body punching and close in work held up down the stretch, ekeing out a devastating one point duke over the favored Crawford. A badly battered Tia immediately called out Daisy Fuentes in hopes of capitalizing on the stunning accomplishment.
