Before: Richards’ musical backers slavering at the opportunity to give pop icon a beating--but Britney no whipping girls. Quips on anonymous member of the Spears entourage “Disney doesn’t like to talk about it, but some of the meanest action out there happens on their backlot. You have any idea how hard it is to fight your way onto the Mouseketeers? Britney’s probably had more hard fights that no one’s ever seen, than most of these punks had fights period.” Possibly true--but Spears best defense may be the tendency of her opponents to underestimate her. Black jog bra, and black stretch shorts for blonde Britney, light blue sports bra, grey aerobics bottoms for brunette Denise.\

During R1-3: Hard fought rounds with both girls landing solid right hands, but Spears takes the points with better defense, more activity. Britney’s legs better schooled--she’s able to sneak in and out non Denise without difficulty, whereas Richards has to fight through Spears’ jab to get at the blonde’s torso or chin. Britney bouncing outside, hands low, slashes in to land jarring single left uppercuts or whipping wide right hands, and after 3, Richards sports a split lower lip from the potshotting.

R4: Denise a sucker for Britney’s leaping lead left uppercut, and she gets caught a beauty to open this round. Richards hurt, knees bending badly, and Spears pounds the brunette onto her butt with a quick flurry to capitalize. Richards up at  8, but swooning as Spears stands in front, using her supple torso to lean back from Richards’ panicky swatting, then countering with vicious Hamed-esque sweeping blows. Richards busted up at the bell but swinging as the action carries into overtime.

R5: Britney all wide-eyed and happy, shows Richards a flicking backhand jab, then hammers a quick right hand through the mitts to put Denise a wobbly butt once again. Richards covering up in a daze, but Britney unloads, snapping off jolting lefts and rights through the gloves until Denise collapses into the ropes and down to all fours, D up at 8, but she’s reeling and Britney stays on her, slugging from the wide stance, snaking her torso back from trouble, and whipping lefts and rights onto Denise’s face with increasing ease. Down the stretch, Britney puts together another burst of vicious lefts and rights on the teeth that have Richards threatening to go down, but the bell stops the carnage.

R6: Britney playing with her hurting foe--Richards’ face a mess, eyes glassy, form ragged. Spears circling flat footed, bending low, leaping up into potshots,. Midway through the round, Denise catches Britney coming in with a catspaw right hand off the face, and Spears stumbles left. D steps in, pouring lefts and rights from the side batter Spears to the ropes, and the blonde is to too stunned to react. Spears’ head rocked back and forth and she is DOWN! B up at 8, trembling and cut in the mouth, and the girls sail into one another again, trading sweeping blows, leaning in with their punches, leaning back to avoid getting clipped. It’s Spears’ type of fight, and the girls each seek the KO, Britney’s right crack hard against Denise’s left eye, stunning Richards badly and leaving helpless. Spears has D on her heels, and rips lefts and rights into the breach, banging Denise to the ropes, Britney stepping to the left rips a crashing right to the face, drapin g Richards over the ropes. Denise doesn’t hear the count as Britney steps over her fallen foe en route to her corner. KO6 Britney Spears.

After: Richards with a desperate all-out assault, goes out on her shield, but serves Spears notice that it could have been different. Britney just a little too slick, didn’t have to suffer as much as Richards did to get results.
