Before: Long-standing Australian rivalry spills over to FCBA rings: Anna Torv making her move on Yvonne after observing several Strahovski fights. "She's definitely struggling in America," says a cool, confident Anna in prefight. "She hasn't been impressive - and to see her stumble against Winstead is a real shock. It isn't uncommon for good Aussie fighters to be slow starters in the US: it's a bigger stage, brighter lights - that spooks some girls. I'm looking forward to taking her down: realistically, there's really only room for one of us." Strahovski bristling at the familiar, superior tone: Yvonne typically labelled as the 'cute' one, Anna the 'smart' one in Aussie circles - labels with which Strahovski does not agree. "I've seen Anna at my fights, taking her notes, stalking me," Strahovski scowls. "I'm glad she's finally making her move - I don't trust that one in the shadows. Torv suppressed - making slick defensive moves and staying safe, but unable to grab initiative back from Strahovski. R4: First minute good for Yvonne: wheels fall off thereafter. Middle minute - Torv clouts that cute check-hook with weight on her right leg, catching Strahovski stiff, dropping her to her backside. Yvonne up quickly, but blushing crimson: she's SO embarrassed to be touched to her butt by Anna. Ensuing attack from Yvonne evaded as Torv gives ground, slips shots, rolls-and-counters with a right hand slapped sidearm to Strahovski's midsection. Girls hunch forward, then try for simultaneous hooks: Torv wins race, DROPPING YVONNE TO HER GLUTES! Thin smile from Anna as she trots to neutral corner, relaxing with arms on top ropes as Yvonne scrambles up nearly in tears with disappointment. Final moments see Yvonne mount more lunging, desperation attacks - slipped, parried, and countered by clean, heavy single clouts - usually hooks as Anna's balancing on her right leg. Bell: Torv tosses hair off her shoulders, strutting supple to her corner: Strahovski fuming - getting herself undressed through 4.

R5: Anna's been hanging back, countering Yvonne, walking Strahovski into trouble: now Torv attacks, forcing Yvonne to apron. Anna leaning forward, chin out over Yvonne's left shoulder, hands palming Yvonne's hips: Torv reaching back with arms, then plowing big, lashing swings to Yvonne's flat midriff. Strahovski's face tight with pain: strong legs keep her upright, but Anna's thumping away with vigor here. As Yvonne tries to slide-right: Anna steps-with, often with hands on Yvonne's hips, staying close, then hauling those big, lashing strokes into her foe's well-conditioned torso. Good hounding pursuit - Torv staying atop Strahovski with the aid of educated shoulder bumps and an extended left elbow nudge. Yvonne soundly beaten along all four sides of the ring, forced to clinch for ref's breaks under thudding Torv pressure.

R6: Strahovski shows that marvelous fitness, recovering from two brutal rounds to once again up-tempo on Anna. When faced with a crisp, pounce-stepping attack - Torv closes stance, leans onto her right leg, trying to time Yvonne. Strahovksi darting in off her jab, swiping away quick, clawing combinations, then bouncing off to her left - daring Anna to counter. Cat and mouse - Torv defensively sound, not getting hurt here, but unable to fetch Yvonne anything damaging as Strahovski hustles for points.

R7: Yvonne's energy undiminished - fitness a real hallmark for this rookie beauty. She darts in, chopping the right hand, swatting the hook - jumps out as Torv turns in a low crouch, tracking her nimble foe. Anna always coiled, supple, but having trouble pulling the trigger: Strahovski's leggy, hit-and-run tactics proving effective if not overly damaging.

R8: Anna breaks up early Strahovski rushes with judicious jabs: Torv able to lean in close, pull a heavy right hand into Yvonne's breadbasket to freeze Strahovski's legs. Follow on lashing to the body has Strahovski grimacing - Anna VERY heavy handed in a supple way, leaning in close, reaching back with her arms and plowing them forward for robust thumping barrages. Yvonne clinches, mouth open on Anna's shoulder: Torv walks her girl to ropes, makes her take weight. Stalking pressure from then on: Anna keeping Yvonne on the apron, lashing and stroking her heavily about the waist/up into ribs, forcing gasping clinches from a rib-rocked young blonde through 8.

R9: Yvonne more responsible with her jab - making Anna duck and roll FIRST, then pouncing at her. Torv very difficult to hit clean - Anna weaving side to side in deep crouch - her head often below Yvonne's navel-level; Anna shifting weight from one foot to the other, often simply leaning out of range, chin tucked coyly behind left shoulder. Still, Strahovski constant movement and sudden punching has Torv under wraps: Anna getting outworked, taking no risks.

R10: Anna gets the jab on Yvonne, channelling high-flyer into right hands, then enjoying Strahovski at close range. Toe-to-toe, Yvonne strong with Anna, able to hold ground and push with her, but Torv much cuter - twisting and bending, tucking and swiping cute shots in while Yvonne's usually missing. Torv very adept at switching weight to back (right) foot to get tight hooks in up top: Strahovski routinely clouted on her mouth as Anna shifts weight, then dips to avoid receipts. Goes to the cards - comes back sleek UD10 Anna Torv.

After: Strahovski stamping her foot upon hearing verdict, sending tremors through exposed cleavage: she SO wanted to hand Anna a welcome-to-the-FCBA beating. 5 rounds a piece, but Yvonne's disasterous lapse in the fourth puts her in second place: young beauty still learning to master her prodigious physical gifts and manage minutes to her advantage in a boxing match. Torv gliding past, taunting Yvonne with the hint of a little smile and twinkling blue eyes: Strahovski grinding her teeth, turning away rather than be further baited by her nemesis. BLONDE! magazine impressed with both women, calling them the "best one-two punch to come from the South Pacific region since Hunter and McPherson."
