Before: Rare do-over for Liz Rohm: sturdy blonde doesn't often get a chance to correct her mistakes. "It's a tremendous opportunity," says fresh-faced blonde in prefight. "The last fight with Lopez was my biggest payday ever, and I dominated long portions of it. I know what I did wrong, and I know what I did right: I'm confident if I execute correctly now, I'll win. I didn't know that in the first fight." Lopez proving a fighter after all: superstar doesn't need to give a once-beaten no-name another look - but Jlo wants to crush what she started. "After I beat this girl, I read a lot of things that seemed to be focusing on how good she had looked at times, as opposed to paying attention to my performance. That's my fault: I need to be beating a Liz Rohm so badly, so completely, that all anybody's talking about is badass Jlo. So that's the mission here: strap the hurt on Elisabeth Bronx style!" Rohm in white bikini with ring connections, tanned skin; white gloves; hair in slick battle bun. Jlo in midnight blue, satin-finish bra and panties; white gloves; hair in slick blonde battle bun.

During R1: Liz in slight crouch, stepping in spearing jabs to Jlo's eyebrows. Lopez crouching in loose crossed-arm - answering back stubby right hands across Rohm's forehead. Outside range-finding gives way to shorter-range slugging: Liz finding Jlo's chin via short left uppercut; Lopez keying on the Rohm ribcage with thumping, tight-arc lefts and rights. Jlo's will prevails - Rohm giving ground, finishes up ropebound, hands at temples as Lopez beats blonde arms, flanks, midsection in bruising, systematic fashion.

R2: Liz still working behind the jab, gives Jlo a little lateral movement, does a better job dictating distance this round. Rohm's eyes wide, intense: she's getting off straight, stamping rights to Jennifer's shiny forehead, recovering behind the jab to reset. Jlo mounting drives at the Rohm ribcage - crabbing forward low and swinging right/left out of the crossed-arm: Liz bounding back, showing good mobility in disengaging/renegotiating. Liz in good shape: weight on left (front) leg, fists up, straight punches tattooing Jennifer, keeping her outside.

R3: ROHM GOES DOWN! Short, drifting right hand as girls come together - Jlo bending in and down, puts Liz on her back with the sneaky lead. Tons of time on the clock - poor Rohm rallies off the deck, swooning at the ropes: she digs in butt-in-ropes as Jen struts forward to finish up. Dreadful pounding as a fresh Jlo looms above a cringing Rohm: ripping repeat rights dug up underneath, followed by digging repeat lefts. Jen working over either hip, catching plenty of the back. Lopez nice and tidy here, bringing hands back to her chest as she resets - using her elbows to prop at Rohm's overhanging head and shoulders. Gutcheck of Liz Rohm's life here: she's badly mistreated - beaten without mercy for all three minutes; gutty blonde covers up, takes her beating and makes it to finish line groggy. Ref checks on Liz during the break; she insists: "I'm good".

R4: Jennifer walking Elisabeth down, seeking her out, forcing the pace. Rohm crestfallen - so badly beaten last round all she can do is sputter around the ring, lay back into ropes and cover up for a series of follow up beatings. Jennifer concentrating on placing her hook into Elisabeth's ribcage: Latina rhythmically bumping left shoulder/extended left elbow against Rohm's forward guard, preparatory to strapping in downstairs. Gorgeous, thudding work - Lopez simply following Rohm around from one set of ropes to another, pouring on the hurt. Happy times for Jen: big, carefree smile as she's digging in, bumping off; grim minutes of attrition for Rohm as she shudders under Lopez oppression, then scampers for breathing room.

R5: Jen coming forward...but she's a little punched out: Liz able to fade back, walk Jen onto the jab/right hand, then sidestep. Rohm stiff-legged, but serviceable - eyes clearing as she's able to sight targets and get off. Liz keeping her back clear of ropes, pushing Jen behind either elbow in aid of the sidestepping moves: gritty blonde boxing frustrates pursuing Latina who had clearly been hoping to stop her prey this round.

R6: Bitter toe-to-toe confrontations as Jennifer weaves in low against Rohm's spitting jab, hounds Liz to ropes, then digs at her. Rohm gritty, defiant - chipping away jabs as she retreats, then setting up on the ropes to answer, not merely take. Lopez routinely buzzed by clever, short right Rohm uppercuts inside and tidy Rohm hooks-to-jug inside. Jen pushing forward, using shoulders and elbows to jostle, then hooking the hell out of Rohm's ribs - really strapping left hands in. Jennifer's round, but Liz firming, refusing to go quietly.

R7: Liz pumping jabs while taking little slide-steps backwards, dropping sudden right hands to Jen's forehead, then sidestepping with left hand pushing in behind the Lopez right elbow. Cute, effective routine: Lopez crouching forward, bobbing and weaving in crossed-arm...only to be pre-empted, nibbled, then turned. When Liz backs into ropes, luring Jlo forward - Rohm either clips a tight right uppercut and spins out, or clinches Jen for ref's break. Frustration evident as Lopez' trudging pressure fails to break Elisabeth down, and meanwhile: Jen's pretty face is busting up.

R8: Similar stuff: Rohm not running - just taking little slide-steps back to suck Jen forward, walking her into jabs, straight right hands, jagged little left uppercuts and cute sidesteps. To the mix - Rohm's adding a nasty right hand slung up into the Lopez midriff, gutting Jen whenever Lopez leans forward behind her mitts. Rohm quickly disengaging to circle after scoring downstairs, never risking extended trade with Jen inside. Scowling Lopez following Rohm around, starting to look vexed and cranky: Elisabeth brightening, growing more confident with each passing minute.

R9: Liz has Jennifer on a string, tugging latina forward, touching her up, then side-slipping away to repeat. Lopez' eyes puffy, lips parted: she's discouraged, wandering into shots and reacting after-the-fact now. Rohm's punching crisp, straight - especially that jotting right hand that's punching Jen's head back. Digging potshots to the body - though rare - are having a sapping effect on Jen's morale and shaking legs: Liz able to tuck single shots into Jennifer's gut, then get away without receipt as gurgling Lopez hunkers down.

R10: Rohm trying to stay calm: realizes the last few rounds have been all her - doesn't want to blow it now. Blonde comes out focused, eyes wide - she's pumping stick, sliding back, walking Lopez into right hands, sidestepping - all the things that have been working. Lopez just in shambles - disorganized, confused; she's still fairly strong, but SO discouraged. Rohm twitching off sudden right hands from her shoulder - spanking Jlo's face: each connect seems to dampen Lopez' spirit just a bit more. Liz just executing the game plan, turning Jennifer midring, touching her, turning her flank. Down the stretch, Rohm walks Jen into a stuffing right hand to the body as Jen's stooping forward behind her mitts. Lopez sighs in pain, just drooping there, allowing Rohm to stand and polish-up a thrilling flurry of short-curling lefts and rights to overhanging Lopez head and shoulders. Bell: Rohm lifts her mitts and leaps away; Jen straightens, blinking puffy eyes and looking lost. Comes back one point duke, Elisabeth Rohm!

AFTER: Rohm getting a chance at redemption and delivering her career-best performance - coming up off the deck to take Jennifer Lopez apart over the distance. "I'm just so...I'm overwhelmed," a weepy Rohm blubs in postfight, hands at her cheeks. "When we got the contract, I went off by myself for a couple of days because I knew this was it; this was me either continuing on in boxing, or getting paid out. I got the training-time I needed, I had a great corner this time out, and everything just came together. When I dug out those middle rounds, I knew I had a chance. She just seemed to be running down, and my stuff started to be a lot more consistent and effective on her."
