Before: Cook one happy little flyweight these days - flushed with a glorious triumph over Nat Portman, buoyed by a two bout win streak, possessed of a firm stable committment behind her - Rachael's on the hottest roll of her career. Pesky Alison Hannigan a step down from Portman, but a feisty little spoiler regardless - she's got height, heart and some skills to thwart hard charging Cook.

Rache in tawdry powder blue cashmere two piece - Alison in sensible red bikini (broad bandeau top).

Before: First minute Hannigan operating behind the jab - skidding and chipping it off Rachael, stepping to the left. Cook taking poke off her forehead, ducking and weaving her torso, coming up slugging - by the second minute, winging pressure puts Hannigan's back to ropes and shuts red head down. Third minute mostly Cook treating herself to Alison's abs - Hannigan covering up face in gloves, stooping slightly as Rachael digs in. Cook muscling up late to hurt Alison: brunette setting her feet and chugging away healthy right hands in short, chugging sequences - poor Alison paralyzed, soaking at the bell.

R2: Rachael pouring herself at Hannigan - hopping in close and ploughing righty to breadbasket, leaving her feet to catch Alison a hook to temple as Hanni scatters backwards. Alison hitting ropes with a windblown look - Cook storming in low, crowding with her head and busy shoulders, going to work underneath. Rachael squaring away and chugging - setting her hips to throw multiple lefts up into Alison's heaving lungs, shifting weight to plug away righty as Hannigan droops forward. Alison really breaking down, lips pulled back, eyes shiny with concern - she's covering up but not getting off or clinching: Rachael's just putting crop to haunch, pounding away to her heart's content. Crowd roaring at Rachael's healthy shove-n-slug, but this is sickening stuff: poor Hannigan paralyzed, grimacing, unable to offer meaningful defence or retaliation; Rachael Leigh able to dig away 3,4,5 short-n-spicy right hands in a row, then shift and run up the score with brazen multiple hooks. It's all too much - Alison takes and takes and takes - finally wilting to canvas under the constant barrage of hateful body leather - Rachael stumbling back on her heels, wiping sweaty brow with forearm and grinning in approval at Hannigan's agony. Alison tender, trying to get off hands and knees, but she's too beat up. KO2 in thudding fashion - Rachael Leigh Cook!

After: Cinderella keeps delivering - doughty Hannigan made to look like a third tier stumblebum as Rachael storms in punches and doesn't let up until Alison's on her knees. "It's exactly what I was hoping for," says a breathless, but excited Rachael Leigh, clasping her hands together at her chest as she speaks. "We've all seen Alison extend quality girls and surprise a few of them - I really wanted to show that I'm head and shoulders better than an Alison Hannigan and I totally did that tonight." Next up, rugged Mish Williams in what should be a toe-to-toe smoker.
