Before: Welter rivals square off in the unusual circumstances of a non title contest - girls used to swapping the belts between them, now having to fight just for the right to stay in contention. Landry bested by Nolin last time out, but the brunette has the career edge head to head and is confident that, "If I fight my fight, Gena Lee can't compete with me." Nolin coming off one of the worst beatings of her career at the resurgent fists of Cindy Crawford - loss to a classy brunette burns, but some wonder if Nolin is pushing her luck getting in with Landry right away. "I'm not licking my wounds, I'm not sulking," says Gena Lee, "Cindy had her best night ever against me and it's over. I bounce back, put Landry down, and I haven't lost a step - that's the plan." Fought at L.A. Playboy Mansion outdoors - part of Playboy's initiative to become more of a player on the promotional side of celebrity boxing. Nolin in black bra style bikini top, yellow bikini bottoms, Ali in gold bikini.

During R1,2: Back to back workmanlike shutouts for Landry. She's keeping a pesky jab on Nolin, just to keep the blonde defensive, then swiping hard right hands across the belly from potshotting distance. As Nolin falls into the pattern of following Landry around, loading up and getting pre-empted - Ali steps inside more, bashing back Gena's head with a clipping little right uppercut off the jab, putting the hook on top to put the blonde on her heels. Final minutes of both rounds see Ali working inside very comfortably on Gena - brunette with her right under her chin, left loose across her belly, just snapping and licking hooks and right uppercuts to the body and head as Nolin sits drooping in the ropes.

R3: Blonde finally moves her hands as two way action heats up. Landry standing in the pocket, stays composed, takes Nolin's splattering lefts and rights up and down both sides, then counters up the middle with the dependable right uppercut on the chin, swatting right hand across the waist. Ali cleverly using the block, counter, and clinch to control Nolin - Gena unable to really find a groove, constantly being walked back to the ropes and held for breaks as the brunette slows the action down. Heavy, sultry fighting through 3 - Landry getting it done to the body, and the right uppercut is there as well.

R4: Gena leaning in, lashing her arms back and forth, fists bashing away below the belly button on her foe draws the fight's first warnings. Landry grimacing, tieing up - sloppy clinching, both girls trying to body each other back into the ropes - ref pulling sweaty welters apart and pushing them away. Gena warned for locking up hard under Ali's elbow in the clinch - Landry warned for excessive holding - fight devolves into a stumbling, wandering affair with clean punching a bit of a rarity. Girls get chest to chest after the bell - glaring each other down as the ref intercedes.

R5: Ali gets back to what worked earlier - pesky, open hand jabs to set the table, scoring heavily to Gena's midriff with single right hands, walking the blonde into short, crunching right uppercuts, tieing up and walking Nolin back to make her feel the weight. Nolin wants the right hand over the top, but Ali's left whether blocking or jabbing is taking the punch away from the blonde. Landry constantly migrating inside, putting mileage on Gena's legs with constant, methodical work to the belly - brunette bullying blonde to the ropes and working her over more and more often as minutes go by. Round ends with Gena making a spirited stand to get off the strands, avoiding the shutout but losing another round to Ali.

R6: Gena doubles Ali up with FLAGRANT low blows to open - licking lefts and rights underneath that have the big brunette groaning in pain - referee lets Ali suck it up for a moment while he administers a stern lecture to the gloating blonde. All Gena after the break, crashing over the top with lusty right hands, pulling the left hard against Ali's right shoulder and ribcage. Landry bludgeoned around the ring - she's hurt, dazed, trying to keep it together behind a tight blocking defense as Nolin beats her down with thudding intensity. Down the stretch, Landry stepping back in good order, walking Nolin into thick lefts and rights to the midsection - blonde starts to wobble and Landry comes off the tummy with a sneaky little right uppercut, careful to keep her head outside of Nolin's left shoulder as she fits the punch in - NOLIN GOES DOWN! Gena clipped clean spills to all fours and is badly shaken as she takes 8. Landry stealing a clear Gena Lee round, BURYING Nolin under an avalance of points through 6.

R7: Gena still the aggressor, shaking off the one-punch damage to go back on the attack - Landry still woozy after the sustained punishment of the sixth, she covers up high, rolling and blocking with the hamhanded lefts and rights. Nolin smudging Landry along the ropes - blonde laying in, using her forearms to brace Ali with, then sweeping and twisting into side to side haymakers, blunt force ferocity designed to cudgel Ali into submission. Brunette not answering back, but doing a nice job of minimizing the damage - Nolin ignoring the body and it's a mistake as Landry recovers well this round, while blonde is blowing hard at the bell.

R8: Landry takes over the initiative, jabbing Nolin up the middle, then stepping in to body up and work the midriff. Gena Lee frowning, starting to break down under the constant pressure - brunette able to cram blonde into the ropes and corners, muscle her upright and dig into the firm body with hardhearted intentions. Landry working James Toney-esque inside, loose limbed, hands low, using her shoulders and body lean to control Gena and give angles, touching Gena about the waist and chest, coming off the body suddenly with the short right uppercut - Nolin not answering back as the punishment adds up.

R9: Ali Landry reads Gena's right hand perfectly seconds in - brunette rolls with the cross, comes back with a stuffing right to the pit of the stomach and gets a cry of hurt out of the former champ as Nolin's legs give way. Gena spilling to her haunches, spitting out her mouthpiece and groaning in pain, somehow beats the count, but she's a crippled beauty. Landry wading in with a knowing little smile, gathering blonde up under the arms and chesting her heavily into the ropes, then going to work. Landry keeping it close and compact - using her left shoulder and elbow to prop and push, working both hands to the waist, then the little right uppercut to the chin as Gena flounders. Landry so limber and supple inside, tapping Gena with decoy touches, then sinking in a stuffing right hand to the stomach or jerking back Gena's head with the uppercut - Nolin wobbly butt, hurt many, many times, but grimly hanging on, clinching for breaks, sitting in the ropes to stay upright. Down the stretch, a sucking right hand to the belly has Gena helpless - she groans forward - Landry shrugging lefts and rights up into the blonde's overhanging breasts as Nolin spills forward, Ali steps back and Gena sprawls insensate on the canvas. After: Nolin gets her head handed to her for the second consecutive time by a welter brunette - another disasterous, one sided mauling punctuated by one of the most devastating rounds ever witnessed in celebrity boxing. A breezy, smiling Ali Landry takes a shellshocked Gena Lee Nolin for a stumbling walk of shame - Ali supporting the blonde's slumping weight in a strong right arm while waving serenely with the left. "We just went back to basics," smoozes Landry in post fight, "It starts in the belly with Gena, but we knew we could get the uppercut as well and it worked fabulously. Crawford reminded me that you can, and should, jab Gena, and when you add it all up, I was just too much for Nolin tonight. Frankly, when I fight like I did tonight, I'm going to be too much for anyone."
