FIGHT NIGHT LIVE: BOXERMANIA VI 2022

Posted by Girls Friday on 11 March 2022 at 8:25am

FNL: Boxermania 6 preshow (intro)
(Up in one of the AT&T stadium studios, Renee Young hosts the preshow)

Renee: hello to our FCBA viewers, we are live on Fite TV and through the FCBA Network, where you can find the latest events and go back in the archives to see some of the legendary fights in FCBA history.

Tonight though is all about Boxermania, the sixth edition of our yearly event, with more top wrestlers getting into the ring to settle grudges, while others look to show the FCBA fans what they are made of, as always I have two special guests with me, first up is a woman who is a former JMD champion and also won multiple titles in her time at TNA, please welcome Taryn Terrell.

(Taryn blows a kiss to the camera, before smiling as she waves)

Taryn: thank you for having me here, I know first hand the nerves going into these events the girls are going through, I can't wait to see how they do under the bright lights and feeling the punches coming their way.

Renee: along with Taryn, please welcome the former NWA women's world champion, the future AEW women's world champion and in her spare time she fights in MMA bouts, please welcome Thunder Rosa.

(Thunder Rosa sticks out her tongue as she clenches her fists, then nods to the camera with a smile)

Thunder: I am glad to be back here, though maybe next year someone will have the guts to challenge me to a fight on these events.

Renee: thank you both for joining me, so I want you both to summarize a fight you are both looking forwards to, first you Taryn, what's the fight or fights that stand out to you?

Taryn: well you can't go far from the main event, Ronda Rousey is an MMA icon, whether you love her or hate her, you have to respect her legacy, in the FCBA she has not been afraid of any challenge, tonight she shares the ring with maybe her biggest rival right now, though I suspect Becky Lynch would have something to say about that.

Charlotte Flair meanwhile has become the face of wrestling in the FCBA now, like how Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler was the biggest feud from the wrestling world, this feels like it could dwarf that, Ronda wants revenge from three years ago, Charlotte aiming to stay on top, that has me buzzing.

Thunder: I agree wholeheartedly with Taryn, but I want to highlight another MMA vs wrestler feud, I've gotten to see Paige VanZant in person these past few months in AEW, even sparred a couple of rounds with her, she seems the real deal with a set of boxing gloves on, not afraid to mix it with anyone.

But Becky Lynch isn't anyone, in fact right now of all the wrestlers in the FCBA, she has the best record arguably of anyone, she loves to fight anyone, this is going to be an explosive fight as neither will want to lose with so much pride on the line.

I also want to say that I hope Tay Conti smashes Britt Baker, I've been training with Tay, she looks ready to me to make her debut here, though I know Britt will do everything to put her off from personal experience.

Renee: thank you for your insight this is a run down of our card tonight:
*Welterweight: Jade Cargill (debut) vs Anna Jay*
*Welterweight: Bianca Belair vs Tenille Dashwood (debut)*
*Lightweight: Britt Baker vs Tay Conti (debut)*
*JMDD: Scarlett Bordeaux vs Stephanie McMahon*
*Bantamweight: Sasha Banks vs Mandy Rose*
*Bantamweight: Becky Lynch vs Paige VanZant*
And the main event:
*Welterweight: Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair II*

We hope you enjoy the card, thank you to all the managers who let their fighters take part, to Lookout for the results, thank you to the FCBA fans checking out this card.
