Intro:
Two of the best in AEW's women's division now clash, the AEW women's champion Britt Baker takes on her rival Tay Conti on the Brazilian's debut, Tay is a trained judoka who competed at national level, BJJ and Muay Thai trained too, can she take to boxing as well as she has those other combat sports.

Before the contest here in the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, both women were interviewed in the backstage area by Alicia Atout, first up was Britt Baker wearing a black and yellow jacket in her Pittsburgh colours, flanked by her friends Rebel and Jaime Hayter, she smirks arrogantly as she looks over Alicia before back to the camera.

"So Dallas you finally have a winner in your midst, I mean look how awful you were in the playoffs, I won't be running the clock out tonight" says Britt to rile up the fans as Rebel (a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader) laughs along with her as Jaime grins with her arms folded.

"Now to you Tay, last time we fought in a ring I whooped that fat ass you were so proud of showing off, if you think because two years ago I was robbed by that bytch CJ (Perry) at this event, I have news for you honey, I'm not the same person I was then, now I am the face of women's wrestling, crowds chant DMD wherever I go because they might hate me but you damn well better respect me, you'll finally understand that after tonight" Britt adds, she is going to do her DMD sign but looks at Alicia again, shaking her head as she leads her group off.

Tay meanwhile walks up to Alicia and gives her a big hug, she is wearing a white T-shirt with blue denim shorts, bouncing on her toes in her red sneakers as she says "I can't wait to get in that ring and knock that bytch out" laughing as Alicia smiles warmly at her.

"You know me Alicia, since I was a child I have been fighting, this has been part of me all my life, which is why I am so sick of Britt, she has disrespected me since the first day I met her, she insults me because I am proud of my body, she says I am not a good fighter, well let's see what she says after tonight" continues Tay, she shakes hands with Alicia, who wishes her good luck as Tay smiles back at her.

Fighting time as "the doctor will see you now" comes through the sound system, Britt's music playing as she struts onto the stage, posing with her hands in the air grinning as she gets a mixture of boos and DMD chants, she struts down the aisle with a real swagger to her, she is wearing a black sports bra with yellow trim, matching trunks, black boots, black gloves with yellow thumbs, her hair tied into a ponytail, she steps into the ring leaning against the turnbuckles of her corner grinning as she listens to her coach about this fight.

Here comes Tay as she steps out onto the stage, bowing to the crowd as she gets a loud cheer, heading down the aisle with an intense look, she is wearing a yellow sports bra with silver trim, matching trunks and shoes, silver coloured gloves, her hair is braided as she steps into the ring, tapping her cheeks as she psyches herself up.

The referee brings the fighters together at the center of the ring, the fighters lock eyes as the crowd chants for both women, when they touch gloves it's a quick bump of fists, Tay jogs back to her corner as Britt struts back to hers, once everything is ready, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Both fighters measure each other up behind their jab, Tay striking first with a combo, rifling a one-two straight through the mitts of Britt to knock her head back, Britt stepping back as Tay tries to land a right hook with mean intentions behind it, already Tay showing her confidence as she goes after Britt.

Maybe too aggressively as Britt shows her ring IQ, sidestepping a straight by Tay to the beautiful blondes left, striking her with a right cross to her cheek, then lands a left hook to the body, grinning as she looks to knock back Conti towards the ropes, getting caught with a left across her face as Tay leans out the way of a right cross.

Heading to the half way point in the round with both women landing good clean shots, neither can really pull away from the other as the good doctor is showing she can scrap, Tay though catches her with a straight on her nose, a left hook then smacks Britt on her chin, forcing her to cover up as back goes Baker to the ropes, where Tay swings in hooks to the torso and head of the American sweetheart, Britt needing to hold onto Tay, yelling at the referee to get her off her, even as she is the one doing the holding.

When they resume fighting it's Tay back on the attack, smacking Britt through her guard with a double jab/straight, already blood running from the nostrils of Britt, an old war wound from wrestling showing itself as Britt whines out, at the bell it's a solid round for Conti as she jogs back to her corner, getting a nod with a smile from her coach, Britt meanwhile wiping the blood from her nostrils and smirking as she returns to her corner, having previously shown in wrestling that her own blood doesn't scare her one bit.

Round 2:
Returning to box around the center of the ring, both are landing crisp punches through the others guards, letting their hands do the talking as they slug it out, crowd roaring as they are not holding back judging by the cracks of leather when they land flush on their opponent.

Britt leans out the way of a right cross, burying her right into the chest of her opponent, then follows with a left hook onto her jaw to turn the head of Tay, who she begins to rough up with little shoves to her face with her left, striking with her right to keep Conti off balance.

Tay showing her own resilience to adversity, parrying aside that left to land a left hook to the cheek of Britt, she follows up on the inside with a well drilled body assault, head down as she beats the abs of Baker like she was hitting a drum, getting held onto my the fighting dentist to force the referee to split them up.

Final minute of the round, Britt catches Tay with a straight that knocks her head back, a left cross followed by a right turns Tay's head around, forcing the Brazilian fighter to cover up, Britt taunting her as she asks "thought you could really fight huh?" As she sends in hooks around the guard of Conti, the round ends with Britt returning to her corner with a cruel smirk, even as her nose is bleeding again, Tay taking a breath so she doesn't tense up, knowing that wasn't a good round but looking sure she can pull this around back to her control.

Round 3:
Tay gets back to using her footwork and jab like the first round, soon enough she lands a double jab square onto the nose of her opponent, making Britt wince as she backs up, needing to land a jab to the top of Tay's head to stop her charging her down.

It's Conti pushing the pace up a notch, happy to engage in exchanges with Britt, especially when she can see Britt wincing when she catches that busted nose, Britt showing her toughness to stick in though, not giving up the ghost yet.

Leading to a right catching Tay on her left eye, that slows her down as she blinks to clear her vision, a left cross smacks across her cheek, Britt now pressing back Tay as they enter the final minute of the round, bullying the younger woman on the ropes.

Britt leaves her left glove too low, leading to a right hook catching her on the jaw to send blood and a little sweat flying, Britt retreating as Tay now comes right back at her, Britt driven into a neutral corner as a double jab combo knocks her head back, the round ends moments later with Britt knowing she is in a real fight tonight, Tay jogging back to her corner looking excited to be fighting, especially with Britt's blood staining her gloves.

Round 4:
Britt comes out with real purpose knowing she can't let Tay build up momentum, she catches Tay early on with a double jab followed by a straight, when Tay swings back Britt sees the right cross in time to get her left glove up, landing another right into the face of her opponent to knock her back a step.

Holding the center of the ring for Baker isn't so easy, Tay is fighting hard, both trading stiff shots as they open up, Britt needing to rough up Tay again, when Conti gets to the inside to work, Britt pulls her into a clinch, then uses her right to land several short kidney shots till the referee can break them up, Britt being warned to keep it clean.

Back they go with Britt this time feinting with a jab up top, instead a right slams into the solar plexus of Tay, who groans out before finding herself being forced into a corner, Britt this time not taunting Tay, looking focused to wreck her as she switches from the body of her foe to up top with hooks, forcing Tay now to clinch up.

Final forty seconds as they resume fighting again, Tay continues to be dangerous as she lands a double jab to that bloody nose again, a few tears well up in Britt's eyes, she is forced back now on the ropes as she shells up, crowd behind Tay to hurt Britt, yelling her on as she works away in close, round ends with Tay turning to her corner all smiles, Britt looking venomously in her direction, not pleased at all that Tay isn't wilting to her as easily as she thought that she would.

Round 5:
Trading stiff shots around the center of the ring, both fighters go for a straight that doesn't land cleanly, instead they end up clinched up by Britt, suddenly a yelp escapes Tay's lips, cameras catch a low left punch between Tay's legs on the opposite side to the referee, who tries to break them apart.

Before Tay can complain to the referee, Britt slams a right across her face to turn her head, Tay is sent onto the ropes, ANOTHER LEFT LOOKS CLOSE TO THE WAISTBAND OF CONTI, WHO FALLS TO ALL FOURS FIGHTING BACK TEARS AS THE CROWD BOOS AFTER SEEING REPLAY'S ON THE BIG SCREEN!

Referee doesn't look up to see what the booing is for, instead beginning their count as Britt cups her ears to revel in the boos, 1...2...3... Tay looks up with a pained look, 4....5...6.. Shaking her head in a mixture of disbelief and pain, 7...8... Tay pushes to her right foot, 9...10 but she can't find the strength to beat the count! This fight ends in massive controversy!

Winner Britt Baker KO Round 5

After:
Britt gets her first win of her career, certainly not to the happiness of the Conti camp, Britt adds insult to injury by kicking Tay down to her back with a boot to her chest, loud boos ringing out around the stadium as Britt grinds her right boot into the stomach of the beaten fighter.

"No matter where you challenge me, I will beat your fat ass" roars Britt as she stares hateful at Tay, lifting her foot up now she has made her point, returning to her corner laughing as she takes in the boos, getting her gloves off with some tissue paper put up her nose as it trickles a little blood.

Tay meanwhile is checked on by her corner crew, down rushes Anna Jay to the ring, sliding under the bottom rope so she can check on her best friend, giving an evil look over to Britt, who blows Anna at kiss, nearly starting a brawl between them if not for the referee holding Anna back.

Anna cools off after seeing Tay get to her feet, Anna needed to help her out the ring as Tay is shaky on her feet, Tay showed glimpses of the fighter she might become, Britt needing the low blow to stop her before she could build up a head of steam, this feud is probably not over between these two AEW stars.

In the ring Britt only cares about victory; tapping her left arm, which is duly raised by the referee to make the result official, even as the packed stadium roars their displeasure at the result, Britt still gives her fans at home her signature "D.M.D" sign as she mouths it to cameras.

Heading out the ring, some fans in the front row throw trash her way, Britt just says to the nearest camera "Dallas just simply doesn't remember what a winner looks like" laughing to herself as she heads to the back, with Rebel at the top of the aisle with a glass of champagne to mark the occasion, the first of possibly many for Britt Baker.
