Before: Grudge match to be settled during Nitro, pit’s the larger, harder hitting Gorgeous One against the quicker, better-schooled Gellar. Sarah overlooked at the WB due her lack of pop, but she’s one of the best small women out there and pundits wonder if George just might stub her toe here. Gorgeous looking to answer criticism that she’s a made-for-TV-bimbo boxer with little real ability--win against Gellar offers instant cred, while remaining a relatively safe test. Sarah in white bikini top, white satin pajama pants, GG in teals sports bra, stretch shorts, ponytail.

During R1: Sarah showing a Spadafora look early, poking a little jab or lead right, stepping back as GG rushes in, then bending low to put a shoulder into Gorgeous’ gut to butt her back outside, Gorgeous stepping in, touching her eyesores with her gloves, looks to club with either hand, but Sarah proves elusive.

R2,3 Gorgeous continues to make the fight, and she corner Gellar repeatedly, pounding away on the smaller blonde’s shoulders and biceps to break down the defense, Gellar forced to trade toe to toe, gets banged up these rounds as GG takes without flinching, and moves Sarah with hard, compact lefts and rights.

R4: Sarah able to box again this round, using her left hand to turn GG while stepping left around the valet, has Gorgeous stopping and starting in frustration. Gellar picking at George with the short, quick strike from either hand in straight blasts, then stepping around to change the angle.

R5: The movement and defense in place, Sarah now starts to add combinations, and has George staggery early from a series of clipping left hooks under the chin. Gorgeous hurting, walks into Sarah’s deft punching as Gellar polishes up the abs and chin with buffing 3 punch combos. Sarah using the lead right to set up the banging double left hook, has GG busted up over the right eye from banging connects all round long.

R6: Gorgeous comes back with fire, holding and hitting Sarah to retake the initiative, then bodying up on the smaller blonde to pound her up against the ropes. Gellar bobbing at the waist, shudders as George digs in with hooks and right hands to her waist. Gellar able to slip the uppercut, looks shaky at the bell.

R7: Body work and heavy hands begin to take their toll as Sarah slower, hittable this round. GG shaking off Sarah’s stinging lead right to bang with clubbing left hooks, has Gellar up against the ropes and rubbery legged at the half way point, Down the stretch, GG mauling Gellar, pushing her into the ropes, swatting at the jaw with the hook, then doubling it downstairs to dig into the ribs. Gellar takes a knee with a twisted look of pain on her face as Gorgeous smiles and refuses to back away.

R8: GG the bully now, bodying up, walking Sarah top the ropes and working side to side with bludgeoning lefts and rights. George forms the wide stance, slugging wifre, has Sarah hurting, but is equally open for counters, and in the final minute, Gellar capitalizes. Dipping and coming back with hooks, Gellar takes the play away as George backs up blinking, and Sarah mounts a charge. Punching out of her shoes, Gellar plants freeswinging rights and lefts on a stunned Gorgeous George’s chin, chasing the valet across the ring. Round ends as Gellar expertly works George over with shoulder-shoving inside setting up brisk shoe-shining combinations to the waist as George covers up tight against the ropes.

R9: Sarah back in control, boxing wonderfully and exposing all of George’s flaws this round. GG walking into traps, getting turned, constantly off balance--Gellar puts it all together behind a steady beat of lead rights and double left hooks on the jaw. In the final minute, a dizzy and discouraged George stumbles forward into swatting rights and lefts to her face and clatters to all fours with seconds left ion the round.

R10: Sarah Michelle Gellar, eyes bright and intense, keeps up the pressure with her movement and ring generalship. George flailing her punches now, is chopped up as Sarah works up and down, side to side, cashing in on opening after opening to puff up George’s beautiful face with flush right hands and left hooks. Stepping to the right, Gellar indulges herself with whipping left hooks to the breasts, putting hurt on George, then sliding away to attack from a new angle. Bell to bell waxing as George simply cant cut off the ring, and Sarah Michelle Gellar posts the upset decision over the boos of the wrestling faithful.

After: School in session as Buffy beats the tar out of GG with classic fundamental boxing. George had her moments, but by the end was clearly counting on the magic one punch KO that never came. George unable to set her opponent up often enough to use her strength got out-quicked and out-thought tonight.,
