During R1: Girls bump shoulders, leaning in to slug from the opening bell. Seconds in, Carpenter pushing off with that left elbow banks a hook hard off French jaw, Laetitia wide eyed as she stumbles a step back - Charisma stepping with her. Casta wild when hurt - Carpenter unable to land a telling follow up and down the stretch, French girl able to dig some nice left hands of her own to Charisma's midsection at the bell.

R2: Carpenter using her legs, trying to change angle on Laetitia, but Casta storming through it, upsets CC's rhythm and lands some bashing wide lefts and rights to drive Carpenter around the ring. Charisma leaning in to stop to Casta's forward momentum, but not punching - Laetitia's whip armed delivery bangs out the points.

R3: Casta comes out BLASTING stunning Carpenter and the audience with sensational, ripping punches from both hands. Flat footed, shoulder to shoulder with Carpenter, Laetitia beats down the sturdy brunette punch for punch - Charisma grimacing as Casta's gloves bounce hard off toned midriff or crash against skull. From the midway point, Casta's hammering away at the ropes, stepping with a shaken up Charisma who can't stop the riot. Final minute - Casta setting down on every murderous punch, lanky limbs really crashing home the leather to the body and head and CARPENTER GOES DOWN! Casta lifting the right hand off her stomach and cramming it into Carpenter's jaw, sits the brunette down at the bell!

R4: BRAWL! Carpenter's not getting cute - Casta's not hiding - they BANG away midring, each taking turns lashing right hands upstairs, dipping the shoulder and snapping hooks to midriff. Both adept at using that left shoulder and elbow to bump and prop with before getting off - shattering two way exchanges leaves both girls humming at the bell.

R5: BRAWL! More of the lanky pitching action, Charisma dishes three, Laetitia dishes 3 - back and forth, big splattering punches up and down the sides, girls rotating clockwise midring as the crowd roars. Carpenter starts to slug sack with meanspirited hooks to the breasts - Casta reaching for Charisma to clinch. Carpenter able to step back, walk Laetitia in and a BOOMING left uppercut off the chin drops Casta to all fours. Laetitia beats the count but she is REELING at the bell.

R6: BRAWL! Carpenter out to finish! She's just leaning forward, loading up from her hips, punching then pushing off with her shoulder, trying to get Casta gone. Laetitia SOAKING up bombs, hurting badly, covered up and weaving on the spot as Carpenter's gloves bash away without restraint. Laetitia spills to the ropes - Charisma finishes up strong on her girl, punishing a glassy-eyed Laetitia with hellish rips across the stomach, up under the jugs and hard to the jaw from both sides. Charisma a little awed at the bell - Casta all busted up and swooning, refuses to go down.

R7: BRAWL! Casta finds a second wind and CARPENTER wilts! Laetitia bending side to side, pulling blockbuster punches into Charisma, and she's beating her way past the brunette's tired guard. Torrid punching of the last round has left Carpenter on empty and she BATTERED pillar to post this round as Casta climbs aboard. They finish up trading mindlessly at the ropes, Charisma salvaging some pride late as Laetitia can't heap on the shutout.

R8: Both girls take a much needed round off, but still, Laetitia Casta finds the resolve to continue lashing her fists, pushing Carpenter back throughout. Charisma open mouthed, clinching for breaks more often this round - tired face looks achy and she's starting to shy away from exchanges.

R9: Carpenter opens with determined rising left hands to the pit of Casta's belly, buckling the French girls legs and leaving the inviting shelf of her bikini top drooping forward for Carpenter's uppercuts. Laetitia absorbs a beating, but starts to wail back at the midway point - Carpenter staring as her head swivels - she goes wobbly butt and can't seem to stop the bombardment. Carpenter boozily stumbling forward, looking to clinch - Casta paying back with lashing action to both breasts, curling her punches up into the chest of a gurgling Charisma C. Senseless action spills into overtime as Carpenter sinks into the ropes all but out.

R10: Girls trudge wearily to mid ring, hands at stomachs - they lean in to slug away at each other, and it's all Casta! Charisma just not punching, eyes closes as she lolls against the supermodel - Laetitia staying within herself, punching Charisma's lower belly, shouldering her off and pitching at Carpenter's chin from outside. Carpenter drowsy, stumbling, and taking, coughs up an important 10th round as Casta slags away to the bell. Laetitia puts her aching arms in the air in anticipation - a badly battered Charisma Carpenter stares at the canvas - it comes back UD10 Laetitia Casta!

After: Casta fights off the cliche European-fighter stigma in a huge way, handing Charisma Carpenter a heartbreaking beating and putting herself squarely in the big bantam, junior lightweight picture. Carpenter showed none of the advanced skills that had given Dani difficulty, nor the unyielding will that had gotten her past Brittany D. Laetitia Casta simply came out and beat Charisma Carpenter down, more or less toe to toe, and OWNED the second half of this fight
