Intro:
Now we have two welterweights trying to get themselves into the title picture, Karen Gillan and Karlie Kloss step into the Ice Hotel in Alaska looking for a big name to put on their record on their rise to the top.

Lately Karen has had the better run of things, winning her last five fights in the BBU and FCBA, earning her a spot on the Fates Boxing roster as they asked to sign her from the Lookout! Atlantic Boxing stable this past May.

On the other hand Karlie has won two of her last fight fives, she did win her last fight though over Robyn Lawley, there is also an interesting plot to this bout, the other win for Karlie was over Karen's coach for tonight Ana Beatriz Barros a year ago, will Ana have learned enough from her defeat to pass on to Karen?

The FCBA Network's Alicia Atout headed to the fighters gyms as they trained for this fight, first heading into the Fates Boxing gym to see Karen hard at work on the pads as Ana drills her, Alicia waiting patiently as Karen shows off her hand speed and head movement for the cameras.

Once she is done, Karen is given a little time to talk to Alicia, smiling warmly to the interviewer as the Scottish actress hugs Atout, then tells her how great it is to see her as the bubbly personality of Gillian shows through.

"Wow I can't believe how far I have come the past two years, I was focusing on the Marvel movies and Jumanji, so boxing had taken a back seat for me, to be back in the ring was a buzz that has led me to being part of this great stable" says Karen as she waves around herself to her surroundings in the state of the art gym, Ana quickly joking about Karen not needing to butter up the owner to laughs from all three.

The subject turns to the fight, Karen admits "it isn't going to be easy, Karlie is phenomenal in the ring, great technique, great physically, the thing I need to exploit though is her heart, nobody can ever question my toughness and my willingness to take punishment to win, Karlie's career has always had that doubt over her head" getting more serious as she finishes her thought.

Ana chips in by saying "I got first hand experience of Karlie, Karen is one hundred percent correct on everything she said, I know I gave Karlie some trouble and Karen is a better fighter then me, when Karlie is dragged into those deep waters, Karen is the one going to come out on top" Karen beaming at that praise, before they get back to work as Alicia thanks them for their time.

Now Alicia heads into the Fighting Academy gym, Karlie is doing yoga when Alicia finds her, coach Kelly Hu comes over to speak to the interviewer as she doesn't want her fighter disrupted.

"Hey Alicia, as you see Karlie is working on her flexibility, how else do you think she is slicker then most of those heavyweight bimbos she fights?" Kelly tells the interviewer, who nods as if she is in school being talked to by a teacher.

"I hope Ana has been relaying to Karen what she is in for, Karlie at her best is the standard of this division, sometimes she has gotten nervous but that is gone, you don't defeat the likes of Amanda frickin Righetti and Gemma Atkinson if you can not match that level, Karen never has done in my eyes" Kelly sternly tells Alicia as she looks all business.

Patting Alicia on her right shoulder, Kelly says "I hope that is enough sound bites for you to use, Karlie is going to the Ice Hotel to win and it is only about that, there is no sub plots to this for us, stay safe OK" turning Alicia towards the door before she goes to get Karlie to start their next session of training.

Fight night, first out in a mink coat is Karen with Ana beside her, in the crowd is Taylor Swift who applauds Karen, she is caught between a rock and a hard place as Karen is her stablemate, Karlie her best friend forever as she says.

Karen nods to her with a grin, Ana slips off the coat to reveal Karen is wearing a red sports bra, her trunks are tartan inspired red and gold pattern with fur trim, red gloves with fur lining, fur boots, with her hair braided for battle as she steps into the ring looking assured of herself.

Now out comes Karlie with Kelly behind her, she has a long fur coat on as she raises a glove to signal over to Taylor, who applauds her the same as her stablemate, trying to remain unbiased as some of the Fighting Academy girls in the select crowd give her a cold look to the singer.

Getting the coat helped off her by Kelly, Karlie is wearing a silver sports bra with fur trim, matching trunks and boots, with silver gloves with fur lining, her hair is tied into a ponytail as she climbs into the ring looking excited by this fight.

Both fighter demeanors change as they step to the center of the ring, eyes locked with piercing stares, a win is very important for both their careers, Karlie looking to rebuild herself as a contender, Karen on the brink of getting into that title race.

When they are told to touch gloves, they do so respectfully along with a nod, all about business tonight as they jog back to their corners, coaches out the ring now after patting their fighters on the back, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Testing each others reflexes to start off, it is like watching two fences as they dart in with a punch or two before moving back out to range, both have similar hand speed so neither takes the advantage quickly.

After they start to throw more punches while edging closer, Karen deflects a straight to bang in a right to the body, a left slams across the cheek of the model to back her off to the outside of the ring.

Controlling the center of the ring, Karen looks the more assured right now as she buries in more punches to the body of Karlie, slipping more then she is taking as she looks like the Queen of the castle right now.

After the first two minutes, Karlie finally catches Karen with a good double jab/right cross combo, pushing back the redhead a step as she comes firing back, both landing hard shots across the others cheeks.

In the final moments of the round Karen uses her left to bang in several body shots, landing an uppercut to push back her opponent as she finishes with a flurry on the gloves of Kloss before the bell rings.

Both women turn on their heels back to their corners, Karlie grits her gumshield but nods to her coach, knowing she started too slowly there, Karen meanwhile gets a pat on the shoulder from Ana to show how pleased she was by that round.

Round 2:
Coming back to the center of the ring, Karlie more up on her toes firing out her jab more, focusing on doubling it up when she spots openings in her opponent's guard, digging into the face of the actress.

Karen on the other hand is focusing on working the body, stepping inside under the jab to rifle in punches, before getting nudged back as they go back and forth, trying to establish themselves in this round.

A left cross smacks Karen as she is maybe becoming too predictable, Karlie following up with a straight on the nose, now she steps to the center after driving back Gillan to the outside part.

She switches up her attacks, stepping in to work hooks to the body, engaging Karen in close, then moving back to ram punches into the face of the Fates boxer to snap her head back.

The final moments of the round sees Karen able to land a left cross out her guard, step closer to Karlie to force a fiery exchange before the bell rings to end the round, Karen getting to see some of the best of Karlie, who looks up for this one.

Round 3:
Throwing more punches in bunches now they are warmed up to the task, Karlie drilling a double punch to the top of Karen's head allows her to drive back her opponent, landing a right cross as she looks to open up on Karen more.

That extra aggression though leads to Karlie missing with a right hook, Karen counters with an uppercut to the body, an overhand left smacks Kloss to the jaw, forcing back the model as Karen forces the issue.

The inside fighting seems to suit Karen down to a tee, rifling in body shots along with uppercuts to force back her opponent, pressing her onto the ropes where she throws in hooks to the body to make Karlie groan out.

Nudging back with her left forearm, Karlie catches Karen across the cheek with a right cross, fighting off the ropes as she moves back to range, settling into the final minute of boxing on the outside.

At the bell the fighters turn back to their corners, both knowing they are facing a tough opponent as they stare across at each other, coaches giving them some advice to try to change things up.

Round 4:
Moving more side to side to not be an easy target to be gotten at, Karlie rams her jab between the mitts of her opponent to knock her head back, bringing a smile to her coaches face.

Karen is still able to land some good punches, she is getting punished though to do so, her cheeks marked up now, with Karlie ramming an uppercut into the chin of the redhead to push her to her heels.

Pressing back Karen to her heels, Karlie knocks her into a corner, where Karen covers up under a flurry of punches, most landing to the gloves or forearms, some getting through to smack Karen into her mouth.

Pulling Karlie into a clinch, Karen looks annoyed with herself for having to do this, both women pressing against each other as Karlie leans on her opponent, trying to sap energy from her.

After they are broken apart, Karen manages to slip a straight to move inside, banging in two hooks under the ribs of Kloss, who groans out as she backs up, trying to create space again.

The round comes to an end with both letting their hands go in tight, they separate with a cold look for each other before jogging back to their corners.

Round 5:
Heading back out to resume, Karlie looking to keep on the move, drilling in her punches still through gaps in Karen's guard, causing blood to flow from the nostrils of the redhead, who is getting more annoyed.

Karen goes to land an overhand right that Karlie sees coming, KARLIE LEANS OUT THE WAY BEFORE LANDING AN UPPERCUT, KAREN FALLS TO HER KNEES!

Karlie jogs to the neutral corner with a big grin, nodding over to her corner, 1...2...3...4.. Karen pushes up to a single knee, shaking her head while blinking to clear it, 5...6...7.. Beating the count as she doesn't look too badly hurt.

Though as they resume fighting, Karlie is backing up a more tense looking Karen, who is more focused on protecting herself then really fighting back, taking several punches to her cheeks as Karlie now looks to be getting more bolder.

A double jab smacks Karen on her nose as she backs her onto the ropes, Karen needing to pull Karlie into a clinch, gritting her gumshield as she looks like she wants to scream some curse words.

After they are pulled apart, Karen manages to slip a left cross to bang in two rights to the body, then lands an overhand left to show she still has fight in her yet, the bell rings not long after to end the round.

Karlie smiling though as this was a major round for her, her coach tells her to keep looking for a big punch to end this, not to rush things as they see Karen staring over at them, Ana telling Karen to not to give up hope.

Round 6:
Continuing to try boxing around Karen, Karlie steps side to side with her jab hammering the gloves of her opponent, her right is loaded up as she looks for the knockout blow.

But when Karlie tries to land it, Karen shows all her facilities are there as she leans out the way of a right hook, banging in a counter left across the cheek of the model, then an uppercut smacks back Kloss to her heels.

With follow up punches allowing Karen to knock back Karlie to a corner, those body shots seem to be starting to pay dividends as Karlie is gritting her gumshield as she grimaces, her body starting to redden up.

Pushing back Karen, Karlie starts to fight back as the two fighters go toe to toe, Karen though dips under a right cross to hammer in a right to the body of Karlie, pressing her back again towards the ropes.

For all the success she had the last round, Karlie is finding it hard to keep Karen off of her, both barking out with effort as they work on the inside, Karen dragging Karlie into a firefight she doesn't seem comfortable with.

The round soon comes to a close with Karlie looking up before heading to her corner, she asks her coach "how the hell is she so tough?" While Karen has her cheeks starting to swell but actually looks to be enjoying herself as she talks to Ana about what to do now.

Round 7:
Coming back out their corners eyes locked behind their gloves, Karlie doesn't seem to have as much a spring to her step, though her jab is still looking potent as it drills into the face of Karen.

Who has to be smarter to get to the inside, she shows she can change things up by feinting more, creating more openings now as she rifles in a right to the stomach that looks to have driven the air from Karlie.

Finding herself being driven back again, Karlie tries to tie up Karen into a clinch, Karen lands two uppercuts to the body that looks to have hurt the stunning model, with an overhand left smacking back Karlie towards the ropes, WHERE A RIGHT HOOK TO THE RIBS MAKES KARLIE FALL TO ALL FOURS!

That punch was a peach of a one with it looking to lift up Karlie's ribs, 1...2...3.. She spits out her gumshield as she puts her forehead on the canvas, 4....5.....6.....7.. Karlie is breathing hard as she has been badly winded, 8....9....10 ending up being counted out!

Winner Karen Gillan KO Round 7

After:
The Gillan express continues with another impressive victory, Fates may have made the sleeper signing of the year if she can keep this level of performance up, that has Ana yelling "go Karen!" A big beaming smile on her face.

The winner jumps for joy even as she looks sore, face reddened up from all the punches she took, she rushes over to her corner to embrace with Ana, thanking her for all her advice on how to handle Karlie.

Who is still on all fours, Kelly puts an ice pack on the side of her fighters side, with Karlie slowly pushing up to her knees, tears streaming down her face as she is in agony, Kelly telling her she'll be OK.

After getting her gloves taken off, Karen shows her class by coming over to check on Karlie, putting her left hand on Karlie's shoulder, with Karlie wiping her tears away as the pain subsides, giving Karen credit for a good fight and deserving her win.

Helping Karlie up to her feet, Karen pats Karlie on her left arm as tells her she can't wait till the next time they fight again, Karlie nods at Karen in respond before they return to their corners.

Getting cleaned up by their coaches, the crowd applauds both fighters for a great effort tonight, Karen waves to them before blowing them kisses, Taylor in the crowd nods to her to show her respect to her stablemate.

Both fighters come to the ring center for the final announcement, with Karlie nodding as Karen gets her hand raised, leaving the ring with Kelly beside her as she looks annoyed at herself for letting this slip through her fingers.

In the ring Emily and Taylor step into the ring, Emily hugging Karen and congratulating her, Taylor smiling but keeps glancing at Karlie as if she should be going to check on her, Karen thanking them for their support.

After getting photos taken together, Karen let's Taylor and Emily go back to the crowd as she knows they are keen to follow the main event between their bitter enemy Kate Upton and Kelly Brook, saying she'll get cleaned up to join them.

Climbing out the ring to head to the back, Karen could very well be in the welterweight title picture if she can keep motoring forwards, the bubbly Scottish actress definitely would be a popular choice as champion.
