This will be Vanessa’s first competitive fight, but the lovely singer is ready, “Lucy Hale? Nah – dunno who she is, really. She’s had 3 fights and lost ‘em all! Not much of a record to bring to the party, is it? She won’t know who she is either after I knock her out!” Lucy just snorts her derision, “Little girl will find out soon enough who I am1 I’m the girl who’s gonna give her face a very painful night!

Round 1

The two little youngsters are quick to exchange early punches, Lucy’s orthodox left jab being countered by Vanessa’s southpaw right lead, and that starts to make life difficult for the American, the right jab constantly popping onto her left cheek. Vanessa begins to relax even more, her gloves dropping between attacks on the actress’s face – silly mistake against a puncher like Lucy – and the American bounces off the ropes, clubbing the Brit’s face with a sharp one-two, forcing her to hold on, parted by the ref just before the bell.

Close round – Vanessa on top for most of it, though.

Round 2

More of the same routine from Vanessa, her right jab landing again and again in Lucy’s face, the singer helping herself to the occasional left hand punch to follow up, but she’s wary of Lucy’s power, and she’s right to be, as the American hurts her with a swinging right hook, before pumping three quick left jabs into her face, forcing her to the ropes. The singer is in trouble now against the grinning actress, who hurts her girl with a solid right hook to the flank, bops her head back with a left jab, then crashes a right hand through her guard and into her mouth, Vanessa sliding down the ropes to the canvas. White takes a count of 7, then gets hurt to the body again, finishing the round covering up as Hale blasts at her.

Lucy takes round 2 with that knockdown.

Round 3

Vanessa needs to up her game, here, and she’s on her toes, clipping Lucy’s face again with that neat right jab, and those punches are taking their toll on the little actress, her left cheek red and puffy, and she’s beginning to backpedal – Hale’s in a neutral corner, with White giving her face a fair smacking, right jabs banging into that swelling cheek again, with follow up lefts to the body making her grunt, but the actress is tough, and blinking hard, she cracks one of her solid right hooks into the Brit’s ribcage, then gets her in the belly with a straight left, and Vanessa goes down, coughing and gasping on all fours, scrambling to her feet at 8, only to be greeted with a hard left jab to her mouth, which almost sits her straight back down again. Not long to survive, but Vanessa is only able to hold onto Lucy til the bell.

Lucy takes the round, due to the knockdown, but Vanessa was bossing it until then.

Round 4

Lucy may be ahead on points, but the left side of her face is very swollen, her eye beginning to close, and Vanessa is quickly onto it, forgetting her aching body, she jabs and jabs that swollen cheek and battered eye, then she starts to get her left hand working properly, working the actress to the body, thumping her good and hard, the girl finding it difficult to defend herself, and Lucy is on the wrong end of a one-sided beating in this round.

Vanessa takes the fourth, and Lucy looks bad.

Round 5

Lucy is slow of her stool, and Vanessa is soon attacking her, hurting her to the body early with left hooks, the actress now cornered again, and she’s taking a lot of punishment – that eye is shut and she is just flailing her arms as Vanessa just clubs the left side of her face, and Lucy goes down, really struggling to get to her feet at 8, but bravely continuing, turning her head to try to see the Brit who is soon back at her again, nailing her now to the body with a left hook, just missing with a right uppercut, and in total control at the bell.

Vanessa takes the round easy, even without the knockdown.

Round 6

Vanessa needs to finish this – Lucy has a big punch and a big heart, and the She Devil is doing all she can to thwart the Samurai girl, but she cannot see properly, and her punches are falling short, Vanessa then steps inside her lunges, bangs her head back with yet another right to her battered cheek, then floors her again with a left to the jaw. Brave Lucy is on her feet at 7, but the ref’s seen enough, and he stops it.

Vanessa White stopped Lucy Hale in round 6, and the Samurai are up and running at 1 – 0.

Post-fight, Vanessa is crowing, “Sure the girl landed some decent blows, but a class boxer will always beat a one punch wonder, and I showed it tonight!” Lucy Hale, icepack clamped to her face is forced to admit, “She boxed well, and she punched well. I shoulda finished her in the third, but I’ll be back, don’t worry, I’ll be back!”
