BEFORE:Bhad Bhabie giving us such wonderful hits like Gucci Flip Flops and Geek’d, taking the hip hop world by storm recently at just the tender age of 17. But the feisty teenager has recently turned 18, and tonight, it’s a contest of old guard versus new as she makes her debut in the ring against pop-punker Avril Lavigne.
The two singers are characteristically frosty at the pre-fight press conference, Avril walking into the room wearing full-on aviator shades and not smiling at the assembled reporters an inch, the Doll can’t possibly be happy after first losing to arch-rival Emma Roberts just barely a month ago, and then falling hard to Cierra Ramirez a couple of weeks after.
Her opponent tonight is another hot and up-and-coming artist who wants to unseat the Queen from her throne, Bhad Bhabie (real name Danielle Bregoli) driving another wedge into the ribs as she begins with an opening salvo:
"I've been following the FCBA since I was like, 14? When I was 16 I told my manager I wanna start training to have my first fight when I turn 18, and I also told her I want that fight to be against Avril La-Wimp!” Bhad says with a laugh. “That's what I call her. I know this b*tch likes to break-in all these new artists coming into the league, so I knew she'd accept fighting a new girl. But seems like lately the new girls are the ones breaking HER, if ya feel me. My girl Ramirez totally whooped her flabby ass. And lemme tell you, she ain't gonna like what her management got her into tonight. She thinks she's tough, but she aint seen tough yet. I'm the toughest b*tch in this entire league. She wasn't tough back when she was 17 and acting all punk, and she definitely aint tough at her old ass age. Is this b*tch 40 yet? I’ll punch that mom bod of hers into a pulp. She's like a little chihuahua... and I'm a mothaf*cking rottweiler ya'll. They don't call me Bhad Bhabie for nothin'...I'm here to take this league by storm, and imma start tonight by putting this poser punk-ass b*tch down and OUT. Peace!" Bhabie says before jumping out of her chair and walking off the stage in an over the top and pompous display of attitude, leaving most people in the room buffled.
Quite a ball of fire packed into such a small package, a lot of confidence for someone who’s just making her debut in the ring. Avril, in particular, raises her eyebrows, eyes wide in shock, looking half-flabbergasted, half-enraged, her face flitting between various multiple feelings. The older singer looking quite startled by the feisty teen’s words, with her confidence probably being at a low point following her recent defeats. Can this new girl really back up her huge mouth? The blonde composes herself and then begins speaking.
"Wowww… she's SOOOO BAD!” Avril says, rolling her eyes. “Bad at fighting maybe. She's just another stupid teen. She talks like a child. And she definitely ACTS like a child. Are we sure she's even legally old enough to fight? I don't wanna get in trouble for kicking her skinny teen ass all over that ring tonight. She calls herself an artist?” Avril snorts. “All those slutty pics she posts on her OnlyFans must be very artistic I guess, because I've heard her ‘music’...” Avril punctuates that last word with air quotes. “And it’s totally a joke. Whateverrr. These rookies always think they're all that until they get punched in the face. No debutant has ever beaten me. She's in WAY over her head."
When pushed by reporters to talk about her previous fight, an irritated looking Avril responds with a surprising answer. “You all KNOW I suffered a concussion because of Vanessa Hudgens being a selfish stupid b*tch, and only had two weeks to recover from that. That's the only reason that Latina hoe Cierra beat me. Me and Vanessa are no longer speaking and that egomaniac better stay far away from me. She's repulsive. Maybe I should fight her sister and give HER a concussion too. See how Nessa likes it when it’s someone she REALLY cares about." Did Avril just unofficially challenge Stella Hudgens to a fight? Who knows, the blonde is just rambling at this point but she sure seems to have a lot of built up anger towards anything to do with the word ‘Hudgens’.
When asked about what Roberts (who is the ACTUAL offender and direct cause for her concussion) did to her, the Canadian seems to completely lose her patience. "Emma is a psychopath and she can't win a title to save her life. Why does she keep getting shots? she keeps bragging about how she's better than me but I would have totally won that belt by now if I had THAT many shots at it...whatever. I'm so tired of hearing about her. She's not that good. I beat Olivia Holt and she didn't. She’s a cheater and a psycho and she can f*ck off! She’ll get what she deserves one day….now please stop asking me all these annoying questions. I’m here to fight this Danielle b*tch tonight and I want to focus on that." Lavigne shakes her head, clearly annoyed by the barrage of unwanted and unrelated questions thrown her way here as she immediately stands up - signaling she’s had enough of this Q&A session.
Despite her dramatic exit, Bhabie actually forced by her team to return to the stage for the square off at the podium and it almost erupts into a catfight on the spot when the irritated teen cusses the older singer out again. Avril not taking the bait, eyes rolling in overtime with both her hands planted on her hips. If Bhabie was expecting the blonde to break her cool and throw the first punch, show the rest of the world she’s insecure, Avril keeps her composure even as the ring officials pull Bhabie away before the hotheaded youngster can up the ante, and the two fighters head backstage again for the final prep.
Hours later, we’re back in the Galen Center in Los Angeles, with Bhabie coming through the curtains first, still looking overly-confident despite this being her first official foray into the boxing ring. She’s wearing a sexy white sports bra (that shows she’s surely ready for some future JMD bouts as its barely able to contain her massive rack), glowing pink knee-length tights and white gloves, her dark hair in a braided high ponytail as she struts her way towards the ring, blowing kisses and smiles to her many fans who are packing the arena here tonight to see their idol duke it out with Avril Lavigne.
And speaking of, Lavigne is out next, making her own grand entrance later in her classic black and pink sports bra, short tights and black gloves, fully focused on her opponent for tonight as she marches straight for the ring, wanting to get things started as fast as possible.After starting the year strong with impressive wins over Lowndes and fellow singer Aurora, things have taken a bad turn for the proud Canadian when she was soundly beaten by both her stablemate Roberts and newcomer Cierra Ramirez, making this fight tonight a dangerous must win fight for the blonde, but being the favorite against such a wild and unpredictable opponent also has plenty of downsides.
In the ring, Bhabie still shaking her gloves in Avril’s face in the pre-fight segment, not listening to the referee’s instructions one bit as she smirks and gestures rudely from her corner. We’ve never seen this much cockiness in such a fresh-faced debutant, and it’s making us wonder if Avril is feeling intimidated, especially with the memory of getting wrecked by rookie Ramirez still fresh on her mind (and body!). Regardless, there goes the bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action to find out!
ROUND 1:As expected, Bhad full of crazy aggression to start, putting punches behind her words as she rushes Avril at the bell, immediately firing off combos and jabs to her head and body, trying to shock and awe the Doll with a possible knockout finish in the very first minute of this fight! Of course, Avril bracing herself for this onslaught, grunting as the first couple of shots hit their mark on her face and body, but follow-up attacks don’t bother her as much, the Doll skirting backwards and sideways fast and confidently, dealing with the incoming punches with a constant and locked guard. Bhabie’s mad blitz sees some early results, but the young fighter grunts back as Avril picks her off from afar, landing a straight jab to her shocked face before she can even close the distance to throw down with the veteran fighter. This exchange goes on for the rest of the round, with Bhabie’s expectations effectively dashed as Avril shows us how experience trumps emotions in the ring. Those wild flurries ain’t gonna cut it if Bhad wants to take this boxing thing seriously going forth.
ROUND 2:Bhabie is still relentlessly storming inwards - she’s been taught well by her fight team and definitely seen some of Avril’s fight tapes from the past, knows the Doll doesn’t respond too well to aggression, and for that long. Avril’s still fresh, however, continues blocking and intercepting early minute attacks to her arms, the occasionally wild swing to the head smacks in hard, but the Doll brushes it off and continues scooting backwards. She tries fighting back in the second half, trying to tag Bhad back on the face with that same long jab from previously, but Bhad’s also quick to refocus her defences, starts countering the counter with her own blitz exchange, where each girl plants mutual, nasty leather gloves on each other’s faces for a good thirty seconds. But a low punt to the stomach scores as Avril melts backwards towards the end, having carelessly allowed that shot in when she wasn’t looking. Bhad wants to chase after the injured singer but unfortunately, the bell rings too early this time. “Saved by the bell b*tch! Your soft ass can’t handle me!” the brunette screams at the blonde before strutting back to her corner.
ROUND 3:“She’s crazy!” A winded looking Lavigne can be heard muttering to coach Loken on her stool before the bell rings, with Kristanna instructing her fighter to keep calm and punish the teen for her mistakes. Avril back to a defensive stance, blocking an early combo sent towards her head, then smirking as she bashes her own straight hand clean into Bhad’s nostrils, which earns her a painful grunt and growl from the youngster. Bhad’s all-out approach ain’t giving her desired results, definitely thinking to herself that this fight should have ended long ago in her favour. Avril conserving her energy, however, patiently counter-planting wide shots into Bhad’s petite frame, either girl not necessarily scoring cleanly on each other, but the Doll still manages to hold her own against someone who’s almost twenty years her junior, and that’s impressive enough. In the last minute, Bhad targets the Canadian singer’s body, mixing up jabs with sudden lunges to the side. Avril has to adapt to keep the young spitfire off her tail, lowers her arms and body center to block another hook before retaliating with one of her own - BLAM - Bhad intercepts it with a raised arm at the last moment but it’s enough to throw off the rest of her offensive, sending the rookie reeling awkwardly to the side. Avril with another close round in her favour, but the question is how much longer can the Doll keep the dam from bursting?
ROUND 4:Non-stop hyper-aggression from Bhabie, who comes in hot with apparent unlimited energy! She lets out a shout of rage mixed with defiance, making a beeline for Avril at the sound of the bell, confident in the fact that her opponent can’t fend her off for all ten rounds. “Come on, fight back Lawimp!” she taunts Lavigne while charging at her, throwing powerful but inaccurate haymakers at the Doll’s general direction. True enough, Lavigne’s trying desperately to jab back at the charging girl, deter her advance as much as possible, but Bhad scores off the top of the head with an overhand lunge sailing in outta nowhere, the young brunette throwing a lot of different punches in a lot of different directions to keep her opponent guessing. It works for now, Avril repeatedly falling for feints as she grunts from more impacts to her body and arms, a third hook cashing into the side as she almost gets folded over in half right there and then. Bhad lets out a shout of triumph each time she scores a clean punch, taunting the blonde nonstop, but even she can’t keep up her relentless charge for four rounds straight, the young fighter visibly slowing down by the end of the round, as the two ladies circle and catch their breaths as best they can. Avril loses big time this round, having taken tons of abuse and failed to dish it back. Small comfort and bigger worry if this fight goes the distance, with the Doll at risk of a greater disadvantage.
ROUND 5:Avril being strategic here, flying in fast to pester Bhad’s head and arms with sudden flurries and jab combos, taking advantage of the young girl’s brief out-of-breathness as Bhabie finds herself pushed and punished about the ring. Loud yelps of surprise as she finds herself on the receiving end of a shower of punishment, Bhad trying to fend off another left-right combo with her wild, flailing arms, but Avril’s methodical patience pays off as the Doll squeezes another right hand through the cracks to slam into the singer’s face. Bhad taking that fifth strike to the lips suddenly angers her greatly, and she comes back spitefully in the second half, having regained enough energy to RUSH in at Avril once more! Lavigne’s not prepared for the counterattack, blocking a hook to the head but another thump! to the tummy connects to the right side, driving her from whence she came. End of the round and Avril still takes it by a close margin, though those body shots are starting to add up, with pink splotches appearing as Bhad’s handiwork on the blonde’s midriff.
ROUND 6:Bhabie going all out in the sixth, showing some initial hesitation to draw Avril back into the fray before she BARRELS forward with an overhand to the forehead, which lands before Avril can react to it or intercept - BLAM and OUCH!! Avril seeing stars, wobbling backwards as the sudden punch connects outta nowhere! Bhabie fans on their feet as it’s the young girl’s chance to prove her worth here… Bhabie storming in with what little energy she has left, blasting another uppercut right into midsection before taking bigger swings upwards at Avril’s head, trying to score that knockout blow. Avril absorbing punishing shots even as she moves backwards, looks calm for the predicament she’s in as she tries to spot the incoming attacks before dashing her head to one side or back, avoiding Bhabie’s punches in the nick of time. There’s no disputing, however, that it’s been a bad round for the Dollhouse Queen, having landed close to nothing this entire time. Still, at the sound of the bell, Bhad looks herself deflated and spent at one end of the ring, her arms hung loose by her side as frustration floods her face. Avril’s fans are really seeing a different side of their fighter this time around, the shrewd girl adapting well to her opponent’s more blatant approach.
ROUND 7:Round seven and we already have a standing ovation for both fighters as they come out of corners. Avril fans happy she lasted this long against an over-aggressive and younger fighter, and Bhabie’s own supporters are also applauding the singer’s impressive debut, giving the veteran Doll a run for her money for 6 rounds and counting, possibly leading on the scoreboard as well here - both girls really want to win and they’re going about it with different routes. Who will prevail by the end of ten rounds? Hopefully, we get that definitive answer. First minute sees mutual circling as Bhad tries to catch her breath, a look of malice on her face as she sets Avril with a constant glare whilst circling in to jab. Lavigne not affected one bit, squeezing her own left-right jabs inwards that stun Bhabie to her nose and lips, at times snapping her head backwards with a loud grunt. Bhad slowly fighting back, renewing her commitment to all-out warfare as she lunges forward at a moment’s notice to try and surprise Avril with a hook to the head, but only manages to score with some hard thumps to the belly, another swish aimed high initially seems to have done the trick when it bashes into the side of the head and throws her off-balance a couple of steps to the right. But Lavigne steadies herself soon after, and truth be told, Bhabie’s too exhausted to exploit her weakness, still constantly advancing towards the blonde but now doing so at a snail’s pace - and the final minutes sees Avril back in control, regrouping from a safe distance before lunging at the young girl’s head with more snap shots sent in, and the teen is WAY too slow with her defense, taking those shots with her body and head instead of with her guard, a third blow direct to the nostrils suddenly has Bhad reeling, her head swerved in circles as those punches add up… Avril pushes in with more steady hands, beating Bhabie to a pulp as she lands shot after shot after shot into the young girl’s frame… Bhabie’s in trouble as her back hits the ropes, before a straight cross connects square down the middle with her chin, which throws her head upwards and back, and the poor girl PITCHES face-forward to the canvas, in a surprise KNOCKDOWN for Avril Lavigne!!
Bhabie hitting the mat with a thud the crowd erupts, the tough brunette left groaning and confused on her chest, barely able to lift her head upwards from the floor as she paws at the canvas right in front of her eyes. Avril’s breathing hard as well as she walks slowly back to the neutral corner, too spent to give two fucks after finally putting her crazy foe down for the first time in this fight. Surely it shouldn’t have taken this long? Will it be for the count, however? Referee’s already hovering nearby, shouting down from Bhabie’s side, slowly reaching the edge of untenable numbers as Bhad pushes herself upwards bit by bit in a struggle to return to her feet. It’s credit to her enduring nature that she’s still not giving up - they say the first time you get knocked down is really the hardest to recover from, that feeling of defeat being the most defeating. Here, Bhabie’s at least trying, deep groans as she pushes her way up to her knees, swaying dangerously on one foot before pushing herself upwards the rest of the way— SHE’S UP! BUT IT’S NOT ENOUGH! The referee’s already waving for the bell at the count of 10, meaning the young fighter BARELY missed the recovery before she was counted out! I GUESS THAT’S IT! It’s OVER!!
Official Decision: Avril Lavigne defeats Bhad Bhabie via KO7!
After:Lavigne immediately raising her arms, relief on her face for dodging this bullet tonight, with Bhabie putting up a hell of a fight before finally going down for the count, but hey what is this! She's NOT happy! Bhabie furious, screaming at the ref for ending the fight early. “HELL no! I was f*cking up at 9.5! Are you blind!? I’m NOT done here! Let me beat her ass!” Bhabie argues while Avril is busy parading around the ring with a tired grin and her arms raised. Unfortunately for her, the enraged brunette quickly manages get past the referee and LUNGES at Lavigne, swinging wildly with both punches AND knees at the surprised blonde! Avril shrieking in horror as she jumps sideways and covers up trying her best to defend herself from the crazed rapper but gets trapped against the ropes as Bhabie continues swinging wildly at the poor older singer for a few long seconds before her team finally manage to pull the hotheaded teen off of the Doll who’s cowering in shock on the ropes after feeling Bhad’s wrath. Dollhouse's corner rush in to check on the blonde as Bhabie is pulled away, still trying to resume her attack, shouting insults at Lavigne and promising revenge even as she’s being dragged out of the ring by two burly men from her own security team.
While her fans are booing loudly at the rookie, a startled looking Avril seen grimacing while being helped by her team, the blonde can be heard muttering a quiet “Loser b*tch!” as she hobbles back to her corner. The fans now cheering with relief for the victorious blonde as it becomes clear the assault luckily did not do any serious damage to the Doll who is back to her winning ways today after beating the unruly rookie who definitely gave her one hell of a fight despite her inexperience in the ring (although many believe she has plenty of experience fighting outside it!). Is a rematch in these two’s future? Lavigne may have more to lose and bigger fish on her mind, but we can’t see Bhabie not pushing hard in that direction after what we've seen from her tonight!
Speaking of the rookie, Bhad Bhabie still making her way towards the backstage area accompanied by her team, smirking and raising both arms as she walks up the ramp, the young rapper acting like she is the actual winner here tonight despite the official result. A bizarre ending to an interesting fight and despite the loss, it’s an impressive ring debut for this 18 year old rookie who certainly got people’s (and Avril’s!) attention with her in-ring and out-of-ring performance tonight. With so much attitude and ruthlessness to her character, here’s to hoping we’ll be seeing some more of Bhad Danielle Bregoli in the FCBA soon! |
