Before: Trial horse Rutherford trotted out for Allen’s PPV debut. Krista most famous for dishing out some truly spectacular drubbings to castmates on “Baywatch”, leading some prognosticators to label the sultry brunette with the “Next Big Thing” curse. Hard not to like her—tall, strong bodied, can box with you, can fight you—Kelly not expected to win, but durable blonde can ask the tough questions in the ring. Krista with short brunette tousle, see-through leopard print top over black push up and panties—Rutherford in ruffled pale blue bikini.

During R1: Krista dictating: she’ll stand, feinting, twitching her shoulders at long range, then lick the stick across Kelly’s face, step over to the left to look the blonde over. Pick and peck, easy lateral movement from the brunette as she just touches the target. Kelly crafty, lulling the brunette with a peek-a-boo defense, not offering anything back until the final movements when she takes a jab on her high guard and immediately snaps back the hook—Allen stutter stepping, caught flush on the chin with her hands playfully low—bell sounds to save the shaky brunette from any serious follow up. Rutherford steals the round with a single well timed punch.

R2: Allen unhurt, fired up, lets her hands go this round—Rutherford falls a step behind. Krista’s got the better legs—she can move right or left, set up and deliver before Rutherford can organize a defence. Allen showing nice variety—straight one-twos, wide hook/straight right hands and she’ll bang a short left uppercuts whenever the girls fall in. Down the stretch, Allen has Kelly broken down—brunette using a sweeping left to brush the lips, then bending into as shattering right hand on the face that has Rutherford staring the bell.

R3: good two way action round—Krista putting punches together, often slapping a sequence just to set up one of those whistling right hands on the ja. Rutherford not going away—she’s taking the bombs well, keeping her dukes up, and scoring the occasional hook off the block. Both girls getting scuffed up—but Allen doing more of the good stuff.

R4: First body punches of the fight for Krista—lanky left hooks arcing into the smooth gut of Rutherford—Kelly’s pinched face tells the tale. Midway through—Krista stepping back, walks a punished Kelly Rutherford into a series of lefts and right, scrubbing the mitts and forearms roughly across the face, shoeshining Kelly’s face back and forth as the blonde stumbles into it. Rutherford busted up, just keeps plowing in, reaching in to clinch around the body and getting buffed up in the process, Still, final minute sees a stupefied Kelly Rutherford turn over some decent hooks—Allen’s pretty face lumping up on the right side. Krista shaking her head at the bell—she’s getting hit too much , and she’s letting Kelly punch her way out of jams.

R5,6: Krista making it look routine, pulverizing the cooperative blonde with licking punches, punching in sweeping bunches, moving to new ground as it suits her. Allen able to get away with fore face scrubbing as anytime Rutherford’s legs go—she instinctively falls forward, allowing the brunette to pick her up with that side to side shine. Kelly puffing up nicely, clearly getting outclassed, but Allen’s power hasn’t had the blonde of her feet yet, and Kelly’s till fighting back in spots.

R7: More two way action as Krista goes right hand happy, diving in on Kelly’s face determined to stop the blonde this round. Rutherford walking through it, does nearly as much damage with her hook, swiveling Allen’s head repeatedly as the brunette overcommits on these punches. Down the stretch, girls start to mindlessly club at one another, tumbling along the ropes and Krista lights Kelly up with the sweetest punch of the night: a crashing right on the side of the head that catches Rutherford in the middle of her own right hand. Kelly corkscrewing, heading down, then straightening to collapse against the ropes—Allen piles on after the bell to prompt referee intervention.

R8: Krista spends a minute on Kelly’s swollen eyes, cruelly spearing in the jab, focusing on moving after the punch as Rutherford’s head jerks back. Allen moving predictably on the right hand, and she’s plowing it flush against the blonde’s skull, but Kelly’s seeing it well, rolling with it slightly to take the edge off. Down the stretch, she slips low, comes back with a clipping left hook and KRISTA IS HURT! Allen swooning glassy eyed to the ropes makes her first real gut check as the blonde shoulders up and digs to the waist with both hands to the bell. Krista trembling as she walks to her corner—Kelly’s fighting her.

R9: Shutout Allen. All legs and left hands from Krista as she moves effortlessly from slugger to boxer. Rutherford with her hands at her temples crouches, blocks a lot of leather, but can’t get off against the athletic brunette, Kelly jawing at the bell, taunting the up and comer—Krista snarling back as the ref keeps an eye out.

R10: RUTHERFORD GOES DOWN! just that fast—sweeping left hand brush, smashing right hand on the face and Kelly bounces to her backside in shock. Rutherford badly hurt beats the count, but she’s damaged goods—she takes a seat on the ropes, covers up and digs in to deny Krista the knockout. Allen POURING into the breach, dark eyes flashing, teeth gnashing as she sails into the blonde, long arms whipping to the ribs, crashing in on the jaw from either side—it’s carnage, Krista landing with plenty of elbow as well—Rutherford dazed, getting savaged and dimly soaking it up—finally hears the bell after a brutal non-stop torrent. Kelly comes up for air and catches a blatant late right hand on the chin—ref jumps in as the blonde sprawls numb against the ropes. Goes UD10 Krista Allen.

After: Rutherford gives the newcomer rounds, and a few nasty surprises as Allen leaves the ring with calling card bruises on the right side of her face. Krista wildly inconsistent in this fight—at times offensively brilliant, then slopping, often allowing Rutherford to get out of rounds and extend the bout. Defensively, Allen fielded Rutherford’s sturdy hook, showing chin, but also some lapses that won’t be excused against the bigger punchers. Allen’s in that tough 125-135 pound group—could use some seasoning before attempting the big names.
