Interesting blend of attributes - both girls with tremendous advantages over the other. Pratt with all the speed and athleticism, but she's a jumped up bantam - will fitness muscle be enough? "Heigl's pretty soft," Vicki smirks, "I have no doubt she's strong, but I think she'll be surprised at how strong I am. I think my speed will be decisive - I just don't think she's going to be able to manage the pace I set." Former champ Heigl downplaying her size - insisting it'll be skill that beats Vicki P. "If Pratt thinks she's just going to dazzle me and potshot me all night - she's got another thing coming. I might be big, but I'm not Kelly-Brook stupid or Brooke Shields slow. I've got skills and I intend to showcase them on Vicki." Pratt in gold string bikini - Heigl in beige crochet bikini.

During R1: Pratt lunging early, darting in on Kat: Heigl stands tall in the pocket, patiently countering the crap out of Vicki. Jabs break up the rush, stalling Vicki, leaving her vulnerable for crunching short rights or jerking right uppercuts. Heigl flat footed, but sliding her feet back, doing a nice job of anticipating, changing distance just enough to foil Pratt, then clouting her a cuffing check-hook. Pratt batted off balance, rejected and rebuked time and time again - she's bewildered, pinking up nicely from Katherine's calm, accurate hands in the first.

R2: Vicki recovering, redoubling her slashing assaults: Heigl picking up the blitz with unguessed poise. Katherine's punishing stick a major factor - she's short and pokey with it, just shocking Pratt's face on the way in, often pre-empting Vicki's punch and stalling her in space. That short, cuffing hook's catching Pratt's chin and tugging her aside - Kat just flicking the punch, generating tremendous sock with very little effort. Vicki bending and twisting away from Heigl's right hand - Pratt avoiding disaster on a couple of occasions, but wildly off balance, unable to advance her position as a result.

R3: Heigl starting to inch forward - hands roughly chest high, left half-extended: she's just jotting it, tracking Pratt's head and chest. Vicki discouraged, not so adventurous - she's circling warily outside, changing directions, feinting: Heigl using her height very well, keeping her distance, forcing Pratt to gamble if she wants in. Vicki with some successful bob-and-weave forays inside, splurging on Katherine's tummy with flashy lefts and rights - but Heigl adept at folding smaller beauty into a buxom clinch, holding a wriggling Pratt for breaks. Down the stretch, Katherine dictating with an increasingly accurate stick, jotting it onto Pratt, then roughly palm-shoving Vicki in the shoulders to totter her backwards.

R4: Same stuff - Heigl walking Pratt down cautiously, still fading back on occasion to counter Vicki's lunging assaults, then going back over to offense when Pratt comes up short. Heavy, heavy jab taking a systematic toll: Vicki's left eye lumping up nicely; upper chest red and sore and Kathy's going to work on the left bicep as well, numbing it. Heigl leaning forward to get right hands - glancing blows only, but she's immediately palm-shoving Vicki so hard in the shoulders Pratt can only reel backwards rather than offer back. Masterful big-woman stuff: Katherine displaying skills as promised, punishing and breaking down her speedy foe through 4.

R5: Heigl stepping, consolidating the canvas she takes from Pratt: very disciplined, patient stuff from Katherine. Vicki visibly flustered, scowling as she walks around well outside, hands at her sides as she looks things over. Pratt rushing in off her move to the right, but it's too predictable: Heigl timing her jab to pre-empt, or sliding back to clout Vicki's jaw that cuffing hook - poor Vicki can't get to that supposedly soft gut and inviting jugs. Heigl grabby when she needs to be, folding Pratt into clinches, getting big on Vicki and walking her to ropes for breaks. Heigl shoving heels of her hands into Vicki's forehead and shoulders, pushing Pratt around like a Sumo wrestler at times - Vicki unable to get traction as she's frustrated, walked down, and abused by the former champ.

R6: Pratt starting to slow: constant thudding jabs on her face have her drowsy, on her chest have her achy, on her left arm has her guard drooping. Heigl starting to kiss short, muscular rights off Vicki's chin, sending tremors down Pratt's sturdy legs - then that brawny heel-shove in the shoulders sends Vicki reeling. Pratt sullen, not attacking at all now - just walking around in an increasingly punchy haze. Heigl finishes up strong, jabbing Vicki to ropes, bodying up hefty on her, then working her with scrubbing little right uppercuts in close as Vicki covers up distraught.

R7: Pratt open-mouthed, eyes distant - she's sullen, sulking after Heigl's jab spanks against forehead or cheek, walking away from the impact. Heigl coming forward consistently now, working behind her jab, dropping short right hands, shoving Pratt very, very hard in the shoulders. Vicki stumbling, reeling, needs ropes at her back to stand her ground, but Heigl squares away to plunder the body with hamfisted glee. Big, bashing lefts and rights splatter against Pratt's lats, arms, shaking her up: short, ripping uppercuts bash between Vicki's mitts, picking up her face. Bad beating: Vicki staring, trying to cover up, but she's getting ragdolled and battered hip to head. Big smile Katherine Heigl: she's pasting Vicki and both girls know it.

R8: Heigl smirking with confidence, walking Vicki down: Pratt sullen, swelling up, retreating. Minute mark - Heigl jotting her jab, punches Vicki in the left eye, then the mouth, turning Pratt's head to the right as Vicki extends hands to ward off punches. BOOMING RIGHT HAND! Heigl pursing her lips, narrowing her eyes as she steps in and drops a smashing right cross flush onto Vicki's chin: head swivel Vicki, paralyzed drooping forward then TIMBERRRRRRR as she reclines backward! Pratt crashing out cold onto her back - head and backs of her hands bouncing off canvas - sensational beatdown/KO8 Katherine Heigl.

After: Katherine beaming happily, lifting her mitts and taking a voluptuous strut - she hands out the beating of a lifetime to poor Vicki Pratt tonight. Pratt out cold for many, many moments - brought around at last and removed via stretcher just as a precaution: oh, the punishment this sturdy little fitness athlete/actress absorbed tonight. Heigl answers the critics, displaying cute hands, rock-solid big-woman technique in turning back an explosive and oft-ducked opponent tonight.
