Before: Milani struggles to get down to junior bantam, and puts back enough weight on fight night to look the bigger woman in the ring. Hayek not particularly concerned—she’s the consensus celeb junior bantam champ pound for pound and has cleaned out the division, almost necessitating a move up. Bettors like Milano as a Top Ten fighter in this class, but nobody likes her chances against Hayek, making Alyssa a 8-1 dog. Red jockeys for Alyssa, black Mexican half blouse, scoop front, bare midriff and black panties for Hayek.

During R1: Alyssa a terrific body puncher in her own right, but she comes out winging from outside rather than fight the Mexican inside. Hayek bobs and weaves, then finally forces her way in, fighting off Alyssa’s chest and putting punches together downstairs. Salma slugs Alyssa to the ropes and methodically brutalizes Milano, shoulders and elbow setting up digging left hooks to the ribs and liver. Milano’s legs tremble at points during the beating, and she is shellshocked at the bell as Hayek gives her a push afterwards.

R2: Salma in complete control, bodies up once again, puts her face in Alyssa’s neck and pumps away downstairs. Milano can’t get her distance, and she is completely outfought at close range as Hayek toys with her inside. Once again, the fighting finishes up in the corner as Hayek goes about the task of reducing Alyssa with Mexican gusto. At ten seconds announcement, Salma begins bludgeoning Milano’s breasts with short uppercuts and hooks inside to the bell.

R3: Milano resolves to fight, and comes out banging this round, hammering Salma’s chest with sweeping lefts and coming back to the head with the right. Hayek backing up looks almost awkward as Milano really puts her jiggling backside and thighs into her punches. Alyssa using a looping overhand right, nails Salma repeatedly as Hayek tries to throw her left hook. By the final minute, Salma is wobbly, refusing to accept that she is hurt, and refusing to make adjustments, Milano up tempos sensing an opening, and pours in those crashing right hands, now smashing Salma’s head violently to one side as the Mexican stumbles forward, Hayek is staggering, hands at her chest, feebly trying to hook and continuing to take ruinous punishments, AND SALMA GOES DOWN!!! Hayek falls to her hands and knees, gets up with a shocked look on her face, careens into the ropes and the fight is stopped!!! Alyssa Milano upsets Salma Hayek to take the Unified Junior Bantam title away from the former 3 time champion!

After: Alyssa Milano cries tears of joy as she finally climbs the mountain after losing title bids to the likes of Carmen Electra, Nia Peeples and Salma Hayek in the past. The extra poundage may have done the trick as the usually iron-chinned Hayek just couldn’t taje the heat.
