Tactical, rangy battle on the outside - Jennifer's round in feeling out fashion.

R2: Biel pitching out that seeking left jab, finding Jen in the chest, then slinging over the top right hands - Garner backing away finds herself getting caught on the tip of the cross as Jessica gets good extension. Biel conscientious about the hips and waistline of her opponent - going there whenever Garner covers up high with strong, slugging right/lefts - Jennifer soaking up some firm shots downstairs as she continues to circle clockwise. Nice lanky pursuit from Jess - she's cutting off the ring, thumping a right hand flat to breadbasket, turning over the hook up top - Garner shipping some clean shots in a shutout second.

R3: Garner wants to re-assert her authority, strides in to throw a right cross and JESSICA BEATS HER TO THE PUNCH! Biel bending in a shade tighter, kissing knuckle off chin and GARNER GOES DOWN! Jennifer sinking to her knees, gets up quick, nearly pitches to her face - she's damaged goods as the ref wipes her gloves on his shirt. ON COMES BIEL! Jessica muscular to her opponent's tummy - whip-licking rights and lefts buckle Jennifer forward with a groan, but the champ comes up punching. Garner hurt, but out of the crouch with jagged little left or right uppercuts, fading into the ropes on follow through - Biel swinging away, lashing the body when she can't clout her way past Garner's guard up top. Spirited two way trade has crowd on it's feet - brawny beauties exchanging heartfelt leather to the bell.

R4,5,6: Garner dials down the intensity - getting back on the outside, boxing exquisitely behind her jab, circling and making Biel chase. Jessica stalking, measuring with an extended left and trying for whistling right hands - Garner's either out of range, or anticipating well, peeling off to the left to evade the power. Jennifer very deliberate as she goes to work - picking her spots to edge in close and punish her girl's midsection - good crisp lefts and rights in rising curls. Garner dropping the odd right hand off her jab, but not over-committing - she'll punch Jessica's face, then hook her jaw to pivot to the left, then jab her head to keep her occupied - Garner moving her hands, moving her feet, keeping Biel under control through 6.

R7: Jessica breaking down a little under the high tempo - Garner's constantly touching her, working her up and down, circling her and it's adding up. End of minute 1 - Garner beats Jessica to a blunt little right hand on the teeth - Jessica's legs don't like it and Jennifer pounces. Biting left hook on the chops, little backhand left, chopping right on the eye - Biel backpedalling, taking punches - feet get fouled up and she dumps to her butt for an 8 count! Biel up, bleeding from the nose, waving Garner on in - Jennifer obliges and once again, muscular trade toe to toe as proud athletes refuse to back away from the blaze. Garner stabbing out straight rights and lefts from the shoulder, using backhand thrusts to set up the opposite hands, pasting her opponent's face. Biel rolling her shoulders, slipping low and coming back up underneath with licking strokes against her foe's rigid ribcage - it's furious give and go with both beauties shipping hurt. At the bell, Garner's bloods up - she chests up on Biel, forcing eye contact - Jessica wearily shoving her away as the ref gets involved.

R8: Jennifer loping across the ring, no longer circling - she's going right at her girl now. Long jab sets up crashing rights on the jaw - Biel carries into the ropes with Garner stepping with. Jennifer pounding away right hands upstairs, leaning back with left hooks on the chin and BIEL'S LEGS GIVE WAY! Jessica reeling, sliding to her right along the ropes - Garner stalking her with the same rivet gun punching, now shooting the right to the chest and sternum, back with the hook up top. Biel righting herself with some canny clinches - even warned for heeling Jennifer in behind her elbow - Garner smoldering as she continues to bore directly in and get after it. Biel recovering some as the round progresses - routinely turning on lanky swatting blows in amongst Garner's jolting stabs - Jessica bending and rotating on her hips to slip and counter as Garner blazes away.

R9: Biel sliding back in front of Garner pressure, rolls with a Jennifer right hand, comes back with a clipping right uppercut and JENNIFER'S HURT! Garner's turn to clinch, draping herself bandy-legged around Jessica's neck - Biel immediately pounding away on hips and ribs with heels of both palms - ref separating and issuing stern rebukes for these tactics. Garner recovers quickly and immediately snatches hooks at Biel's trunkline, stooping the young beauty forward - hard, hard punching flowing back and forth now as girls look to get rid of each other late. Glorious two way reminiscent of Ryan/Scott - both girls ducking down with right hands, trying to bring the hesitation hook back across belly or jug, stepping to the side for a fresh angle. Furious pace being set through 9 - Jen watching close to see how Jessica's bearing up.

R10: Garner doubling and tripling up the jab while scooting left, knocking Biel's head back and pressing the pace another notch. Biel mouthbreathing, starting to look shopworn - Jennifer's fists are finding the mark at will, pounding off scuffed and swollen facial features, beating flat and thick against the body. Garner stepping left, edging in, getting off, edging out - she's just gnawing away at what's left like a true champion. Biel's form being stripped away moment by moment - getting groggy, guard drooping - hammering right cross catches all of her face, smacks the mouthguard off her teeth and leaves her tilting in the wind. Garner unleashes - tearing away with brisk rights and lefts as Biels slumps forward, hands down - punches picking her up in the chest, lifting up her face as Garner gets into her. Jennifer steps back, finally allowing the used up challenger to sprawl, spent at the champion's feet. KO10 in spectacular fashion, Jennifer Garner.

After: Exhaustion KO a dramatic end to a back and forth, high quality, high contact championship fight. Biel erases the nightmare of the O'Dell debacle with a spirited and worthy challenge, dropping Garner and carrying the early lead in this fight. But Jennifer never better, boxing to stem the tide, boxing to set up the power, then just accelerating past her rival to bury Jessica with non-stop combinations down the stretch.
