Before: Carrie Ann a hard nosed prairie girl who can fight - actually sparred with Charlize to prepare her for Bell last time out - title shot thought to be a reward for Moss' terrific mimicry of Bell's body attack. "Carrie's dangerous," admits Theron in pre-fight, "but she's been uppity in the press. I gave her a lot of credit for getting me ready for Bell, and she's yapping about how she hurt me in sparring and thinks she has me figured out. Newsflash baby: 12 rounds. Title fight. No headgear." Charlize in white bikini, Carrie Ann in navy bikini, singlet halter style top to a high neck.

During R1: Charlize gliding to her left, looking Moss over. Carrie obviously looking to cut down the ring, get on her girl and work. Maybe a little TOO obvious - Theron stops, snaps a sudden left hook off the teeth that buckles Carrie's legs, starts to circle right and stuns the brunette with a sudden straight right poke from the waist to the face. Moss sent careening back a couple steps - on comes Theron. Charlize dancing, bouncing in to bend into limber right hands on the face, dancing away with a cupping, open hand hook on the jawline - Moss just taking headshots like it's her duty, struggling forward and getting ROCKED! Charlize beats Carrie raw in three minutes of tasty power boxing - Moss dazed, busted up as she staggers back to her corner. Scored 10-8 without a knockdown as Charlize was landing BOMBS.

R2: Theron looking to bend into another right hand to the face, but Carrie's got the timing down and bashes a hard straight right hand in underneath to scorch ribs. THERON IS HURT! Right elbow snaps in tight to her side, protecting her shocked ribcage - Moss able to storm the gates, get her mouth on Theron's shoulder and start pumping. Carrie Ann helping herself to Charlize' flat tummy, slugging hard enough to push Theron's hips back as the blonde clinches desperately around the brunette's neck. Fight spills into the ropes as Moss stays in constant contact, swabbing that hurting ribcage, beating the beef along the line of Theron's trunks and flapjacking those boobies with jamming straight punches. Theron groggy, hanging on - she's relieved to hear the bell to end the shutout.

R3: Theron out flat footed - legs still numb from the beating, and Moss gets shoulder to shoulder for toe to toe action. Charlize grimly setting down, licking her fists into the torso and head of her foe, but Moss is taking the punches, answering back with harder blows - crunching hooks that buckle Charlize' legs and cause the blonde to clinch - pounding right hands that chop down into the sternum, and a constant, merciless pounding of the jugs that has Charlize open mouthed in dazed pain. Round ends with Theron doing some good desperate work to slug her way off the ropes, but points go to Moss.

R4: More hammer and tongs brawling - girls hammer each other immediately to the ropes - fight bounces and tumbles along the perimeter of the ring to the corners. Punch for punch, Moss is winning the competitive exchanges - trading usually ends with a weary Charlize clinching around her foe's neck and right arm - just trying to slow the brunette up. Moss carrying the fight, putting her weight on Theron, pushing her into the ropes and constantly jamming her fists into the belly, hunting the sternum, bashing around the sides to even club the blonde's shiny back. Theron looking sleepy, dishelved - Moss is starting to break her blonde down.

R5: Theron just laying in with Moss, trying to push off then catch the brunette with a diving right hand or sweeping left hooks. Moss getting rung up in the first minute as Theron puts lanky combinations together, but in the middle minute, good head movement from the brunette frustrates the blonde - Charlize missing, falling in to clinch as the fight bogs down. Final minute - Theron clinching up around Moss' head and shoulders - brunette just chests the blonde into the ropes and starts cramming in heavy rights to the breadbasket. Theron grunting, cringing from the shots - Moss bangs out the round in these moments of hard punching.

R6: Carrie Ann Moss finally takes firm control, beating Charlize to the ropes with a barrage of clubbing lefts and rights to the arms and ribs, then shoving and slugging with merciless efficiency, keying on Theron's face with short right uppercuts when the champ lolls forward, or straight right hands when the blonde leans back into the ropes. Charlize busting up, getting sleepy - it's a masterful mix of hurtful bodywork setting up clean facials that have Theron ragdolling on the ropes. Champ rolls some desperate shoeshining combinations to the gut and breasts of her foe in spots to avoid the shutout, but she's sent back to her corner looking shabby after 6.

R7: More of the same - Theron not jabbing, unable to box, allowing Moss to body up and fight the brunette's fight. Carrie able to slug, push and wrestle Charlize to a seat on the ropes, then it's just steady work - fighting through Theron's long armed clinches, beating the blonde's ribcage and stubborn stomach, then as Charlize' guard falters, clip short lefts and rights across the face to pound the blonde into stupor. Still, Charlize won't go down, won't go out, and in the final minute, she opens up to once again avoid the shutout. Girls trade simultaneous lefts and rights hard to the waist at the bell.

R8: Moss gathering Theron up under the arms, heaves Charlize into the ropes and works her over in a brutal first minute - hamfisted, plunging right hands to the side, clocking left hooks across the mouth. Charlize seems stunned, out on her feet, but after the initial shock subsides, she starts punching with Carrie and the crowd roars as Theron slugs her way off the ropes. It's just crude, smashmouth slobberknocking - Moss trying to break Charlize' will - Theron actually getting stronger as the agonizing trade continues. First time since the first - Moss' back hits the ropes and it's Carrie's turn to cover up and take a beating. Charlize just mindlessly lashing and pitching her punches, working up into the body with wide lefts and rights at the bell. Ref has to pull the blonde off as neither girl can hear the bell over the crowd noise.

R9: Both girls battered beyond recognition, stumbling towards one another on instinct, then planting and firing with plenty of zip left on the punches. Charlize beats Carrie to wide rights, then beats her to wide lefts and Moss starts to arm punch, just pushing leather back at Charlize as the blonde keys in. Sweeping lefts cup Carrie's jaw, then smashing straight right hands spank back her face and MOSS GOES DOWN! Carrie finally breaking under the pressure, stumbles backwards and rolls onto her back in desperate trouble. She takes 8, and Charlize charges in. It's a mistake - Carrie getting low, runs Theron into a short, shovelling right hand into the gut and the blonde is frozen in her tracks. Moss takes over in a brutal middle minute, palming with her left at Charlize' shoulder, then clouting her across her open mouth with brawling right hands, beating the blonde in stagger-step along the ropes. Down the stretch, Theron jammed in a corner once again digs down, starts to chug and lash with her arms and beats Moss back to center ring. Girls just flailing at each other, but it's Charlize getting the best of it - she's beating Moss to the punches, pounding the head around, jerking it back and Moss is STUNNED at the bell. Carrie staring, stupified as Charlize wanders away to leave the brunette standing dazed for a moment midring.

R10: Two shot warriors fall towards one another for a painful final heat. Outside, hands low, even a jab is enough to wobble the opponent - every punch inevitably leads to the girls falling in to clinch, legs trying to assert dominance by walking the deadweight opponent back. Theron able to pound single shots in on Carrie's face as they close, Moss usually taking over in the clinch, cramming a sulky right in between the blonde's hips to get Theron croaking. Sloppy, exhausted brawling meanders around the ring to the final bell - neither girl able to impose her will after 10 grueling rounds of warfare. Decision comes back for the winner, and NEW lightweight champion: Carrie Ann Moss!

After: Theron stands in shock, eyes swollen to slits, beautiful face shined up painfully, deep body ache preventing her from walking right - she hasn't been treated to a beating like this in quite some time. Moss breaking down into tears at the announcement - years of injustice finally vindicated as she hammers her way to glory. Textbook example of how to fight Charlize Theron - bang her body to get her off her bicycle, be prepared to take a terrific shot, and just make sure you outwork the blonde in the corners.
