Before: Made for TV fight, satisfies greed of studio and network execs alike by pitting two of celebrity-dom's best in a wildly contrived format. Liu unable to compete until concessions are made, namely a gigantic ring, huge foxy boxing gloves for Theron and tight, hard 2 oz gloves for Lucy. Charlize still a heavy favourite, but Liu at least given the chance to go rounds with the much bigger blonde. Charlize in teal bra and aerobics bottoms, Lucy in black push up bra and red aerobics trunks.

During R1: Liu takes the fight right to Theron early, bending to almost knee level on the inside and thrusting up with her punches from awkward angles. Charlize swiping, missing with her blows, and Liu lifts the blonde onto her toes with outrageous fouls, drawing the knife edge of her thumb up between Theron's legs. Howling in pain, Theron stumbles to the ropes as Lucy steps in and goes to work with her head tucked under the blonde's chin. Hard little fists beat a nasty pattern on Charlize's thighs to the line of her hips, basically slugging trunk with both hands. Theron unable to get space, arms draped around Liu, grits her teeth as every second punch is a clear foul. Liu licking her lips as the referee breaks the fighters, uses the ring to run the rest of the round, satisfied with the points, and pain inflicted.

R2: Charlize opens with the jab, stuffing the oversized gloves into Liu's face without visible effect, and Lucy slips back inside to harass the bigger woman's body. Liu with more outrageous fouling, hiding the action with her body, but Theron's cries and jerking responses cannot be missed. Liu resting on the inside, actually clinches up around Charlize' left thigh, her fists nestled tight under the swell of Theron's buttock as she controls the blonde from the waist down. Liu lulls Charlize, pushing the hips back and drilling short right hands into the body at intervals, but landing the odd sudden, explosive uppercut on Theron's chin as the blonde sinks forward from the body work. Liu's light gloves, barely more than taped fists, play havoc with Theron's creamy skin upon impact, and Charlize with a worried expression after soaking up vicious bombs throughout the round.

R3: Theron much more aggressive this round, really setting down on punches, missing for the most part, but discouraging Lucy from trying anything more at close range. Liu content to run, using the huge ring to easily outpace Theron, trying to find angles but Charlize doing a good job of keeping Lucy in her sights.

R4: Lucy getting brave, bends at the knees and drags that low knife hand up from the knee to stuff it satisfactorily in between Charlize legs to start the round. All Liu early, but Charlize not giving in to the pain, and by the mid way point, Theron has Liu squared up, drilling the little Asian with short rights and lefts from the hip. Liu hurt, covers up, but she's right there, and Theron gets into a chopping rhythm, busting her gloves hard into Liu's face with little backswing. Lucy getting wobbly butt, hurting, unable to get out of trouble, and Theron pours it on, stuffing a short right up the middle, and smacking a wide left to the ear to bust Lucy up. With seconds left on the clock, Liu's form breaks, gloves at her waist as Theron rides her left forearm on the Asian's shoulder, drilling right hands into the jaw to the bell. Liu wobbling to her corner, can't make it out for the 5th, and Charlize Theron, wincing, accepts the cheers of the crowd for her efforts.

After: Fight proves nothing, but turns a nice profit for Universal and Fox, who aired the show during primetime. Parents groups immediately censure the airing, citing Liu's fouls as indicative of the kind of moral decay that is destroying America. Video of the fight goes on to outsell Sable Unleashed - go figure.
