Intro:
This is the first of two bouts tonight involving Batwomen, the current Batwoman in it's TV show Javicia Leslie looks to keep her unbeaten run alive, she takes on veteran journeywoman Rachel Bilson here in Detroit's Little Caesar's Arena.

The German born American Javicia won both her fights last year in beating Dove Cameron and Ava Max, while Rachel has to go back to 2014 for her last win, defeating Ashley Tisdale by unanimous decision, a loss in a flyweight title tournament one month later to legend Natalie Portman started the long run of defeats.

Alicia Atout asks Javicia backstage before the fight for the FCBA Network why she has taken this fight, Javicia answers "I get people will look at the record and say that I am picking someone easy, Rachel's record has been bad a while I will admit, look at the names she has defeated though, Emma Watson, Lucy Hale, Mila Kunis, all are former champions here, those who beat her have mostly been of championship quality like Cheryl Cole and Anna Kendrick, while she isn't in her prime she still has the experience to find ways to beat someone if they don't give her the respect she deserves", Alicia nodding along with the summary.

"Now don't get me wrong, I expect to win this fight, I've given people a taste of what I can do, this year I need to press ahead, get tougher more experienced opponent's and maybe by the end of the year be at least a top forty fighter, this is a stacked division so I can't be arrogant or I'll be knocked down a peg or two soon enough" Javicia adds as she shows her maturity compared to say younger prospects.

Rachel meanwhile smiles as she stands next to Alicia to talk, getting asked how confident she is of breaking her loss streak, Rachel admits "it's not going to be easy but I am confident, Javicia isn't the usual class I have been faced with, I mean last year I fought Cassie Scerbo and Sylvie Meis, both are good operators in that ring, Javicia is at best a work in progress", a cheeky grin on the beautiful face of Bilson.

Who is then asked has she done anything different in preparation for this fight, Rachel answers "not really, I'm not suddenly going to be a power puncher, my skills are that I am a damn good boxer, I'll wear my opponent out tonight with my movement along with counters", Rachel hugs Alicia before going to her locker room to prepare for the fight.

Fighting time, Javicia is out first with her coach, she is wearing a black sports bra with the red "Batwoman" badge across the chest, black trunks with red trim, red gloves, her hair is braided tonight, Javicia all smiles as she walks down to the ring, stopping at ringside as several of her castmates are in the front row, getting a hug from Nicole Kang, as Meagan Tandy tells her to kick Rachel's ass.

Climbing through the ropes into the ring, Javicia taps her cheeks to get into the zone, nodding to her coach to forget about the people at ringside, instead to focus on the fight, Javicia bangs her gloves together as she looks ready for this.

Here comes Rachel now wearing a white sports bra, matching trunks and shoes, black gloves, while her hair is up in a ponytail, she waves to the fans on the way to the ring, then jogs up the ring steps as she looks excited for this.

Once in the ring Rachel nods to her fans as they cheer her, getting down to warming up as her coach tells her tonight is where she changes her fortunes, Rachel smiling at that though as the taste of defeat is something she finally wants to wash away.

Waved to the center of the ring, both women shake their arms as they bounce on their toes to keep limber, there's no issue here as both respectfully touch gloves with their opponent, jogging to their corners ready to fight, referee signals for the bell to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Both fighters nod at each other before their jabs start flying in, up on their toes as Javicia seems to be getting in the cleaner punches, she pulls the trigger on her right hook a little too early as Rachel moves to the left out the way, peppering the face of Leslie with a one-two.

The veteran starting to time her punches better of the two fighters, drilling in a double jab to the abs of Javicia as she ducks under the left cross from her opponent, for a struggling fighter she is showing her skills that got her wins earlier in her career.

After the first half of the round, Javicia giving Rachel a nudge with her left to the chest, landing a right hook to the cheek, pressing back Rachel to the ropes with a three punch combo to her face, she just misses with another right hook as Rachel holds onto her.

Once they are apart Javicia is caught out as Rachel steps in quickly with a one-two to the mouth, then an uppercut to the body as she steps in close, making Leslie hiss out as she is driven back a step, Rachel digging away to the body as she forces the "Batwoman" star onto her heels.

The round comes to an end with Bilson starting off strong, her coach smiles as nods to them, Javicia meanwhile is being told to calm down and pick her punches better, she admits she that she wasn't focused enough.

Round 2:
Coming out with more fire, the crowd cheer as they trade a flurry of punches to kick this round off, Javicia gets caught with an overhand right that turns her head, as Rachel tries to build on it an uppercut knocks her back a step.

After the fast paced start to the action, both women reset to box around the ring, Rachel setting the early tempo as she is dipping down in her crouch to land in straights to the body. Keeping Javicia on her toes as her overhand punches just graze the cheeks of the black woman.

In the second minute as Rachel goes to step inside, Javicia steps back before landing a left hook that lands to the side of Rachel's head, that makes the smaller woman stumble to the right, a one-two then smashes into her face to push back Bilson to her heels, where she drives Rachel around the ropes.

Rachel covering up throwing single punches out, when she tries to open up Javicia knocks her back with straight punches into her face, the Javicia fans roaring their girl on as Bilson's are yelling at her to fight back.

With less then a thirty seconds to go, Rachel clinches up with Javicia, both grappling along the ropes as Javicia wants to break free, when they break apart the bell rings to end the round, a much stronger round for Leslie as she jogs back to her corner, Rachel looking to the heavens sighing hoping this isn't more of the same routine in her career.

Round 3:
With how the last round went Rachel is quick out the gates, slamming in a one-two combo to make her opponent lift up her guard, switching to the body with a left/right short hooks to make Javicia groan as she retreats backwards.

On comes Bilson with more heavy handed punches that are forcing Leslie to now cover up, Rachel's supporters are on their feet yelling her on as they watch her bang away to the body more, pressing her head in as she stays in close range.

Just over a minute has went by with Javicia nudging back Rachel, both going toe to toe more, Rachel looks to be taking the punches not as well as Javicia, maybe years of punishing defeats have taken her punch resistance right down, gamely she is sticking in to work away.

Dipping under a straight, Rachel pounds in two short left hooks to the body, her head right under the chin of her taller opponent as the referee is warning Bilson to keep her head up, several punches clip as her ears and near the back of her head to make her step back.

Less then a forty seconds to go, a straight snaps back the head of Bilson, with a left cross smacking across her cheek to turn her face to the side as Javicia rally late to bash back the white woman to a corner, where Rachel is covering up but is still taking a few clean hits to the face up to the bell, where Rachel looks to have just done enough to win the round, she has a little swelling around her right eye though to bug her, Javicia has a little redness around her sides.

Round 4:
Trying to press the action early again, Javicia this time sidesteps Rachel to her left before pounding a straight into the side of her head, that makes Rachel stumble back a step, A LEFT HOOK COMES IN AND LANDS FLUSH ON THE CHIN OF RACHEL, WHO TUMBLES TO HER BACK!

What a start to the round for Javicia, who can be seen mouthing "yes" as she turns to the neutral corner, 1...2...3... Rachel blinks as she stares at the lights, 4...5...6.. Trying to get up, 7...8.. When she is on all fours, she slips as she tries to push up and falls back onto her left side, 9...10 that's it! Rachel is out for the count!

Winner Javicia Leslie KO Round 4

After:
Another win on the board for Javicia, who smiles as she raises both fists to her chests and takes in the cheers of her fans, her coach gives her a thumbs up for a stunning knockout to move her further up the rankings.

When Rachel is slowly helped to her stool, over comes the winner to check on her, no malice here as both chat amicably for two women moments ago trying to batter the other into submission, Javicia giving Rachel a hug as she thanks her for giving her this fight.

Once Javicia is heading to her corner, Rachel can now be checked over as she admits to being dazed but feeling OK now, the doctor still gives her a once over, they seem happy enough as Bilson stands to raise her right fist in the air to show her fans she isn't badly hurt.

Both women get wiped down of sweat before they come to the center of the ring for the final announcement, Rachel gives Javicia a sporting round of applause as the winner gets her right hand raised by the referee, Javicia looks to the heavens with a beautiful smile adorning her face.

Rachel steps out the ring not long after, admitting that maybe she will need to test out cougars as it seems she can't take these up and coming fighters power anymore, Javicia an old rookie at that, for now her coach just tells her to get some rest this weekend before they talk about the future.

In the ring Javicia is waving to the fans as she does a quick lap inside it, these was this another learning fight, question is does Javicia step up another level or take the time to learn, at 33 she might not have much time to learn as she seems to be going the Joe Joyce route of starting her pro career late.
