Before: Scarlett in tough with former pound for pound queen and multi-time fly and bantam champ Liu: Johansson taking the Katie Holmes hard road to fistic enlightenment. Liu back with Janet Jones in her corner--former Krusher stablemistress eager to rebuild what she once had with Lucy. "Lucy Liu is still the best fighter, by far, at 110," Janet proclaims in prefight. "She's been distracted, and she's had problems with her confidence, but everything she neess to win is still there. With me back in her corner, you're going to see immediate, dramatic improvement. Mark my words: by the end of this year, Lucy Liu will be the champion once again!" Liu in tan western motif bikini--inlaid with beads and featuring a short skirt across the backslide; slick low ponytail, boxing moccasins., Scarlett in blonde curls, black push up and panties, black boxing shoes with tassles.

During R1: Liu showboating, hands down--but she's rusty, misjudging distance and her opponent. Johansson hunkered down, dukes up, stance sturdy--she's able to step in while Liu's clowning, drop a stubby little right cross bingo on the chin and BLUDGEON LUCY TO HER BUTT! Shout of shock from the crowd as Liu scoots to a stop--Lucy angerily scrambling up and pushing against the ref to resume--he backs her up, gives her 8 at the ropes, then lets her go roaring forward. Liu losing her composure--simply winging aqway at scarlett: Johansson looking like the veteran, staying compact, bending her knees to get under the wallop, blocking a loot of shots on her gloves and answering back short, clubbing lefts and rights. pleasing give and go--Liu uncharacterisctically wild, lacking her normal bone-crushing leverage gets outfought in a free-swinging first.

R2: Calming Janet Jones lecture during the break--Liu able to shake off the embarassment and refocus. Scarlett in that workmanlike stance, hunting Liu--Lucy dancing.hopping along the perimeter, hands at her sides, eyes flat with disdain. Lucy to Scarlett: "Baby, I'm gonna beat your ass 5 times this round, OK? Nothing you can do--I'm just gonna touch you in the back 5--come on, watch." Johansson prodding her jab, maneuvering Lucy to corner--Liu with bewildering upperbody moves, bouncing off adjacent ropes--she sidestepsm gets around Scarlett's flank and backhand snaps a rude right hand off Scarlett's rump while walking to midring, Johansson's cheeks crimson, but she regroups, steps-to with lucy: liu smirking, eyes taunting as she bends at the waist, drops the right foot back and eases herself out of range with a slide-step. Liu all showboat, all the time--just pawing on nudging with her knuckles at Scarlettm pushing J behind the elbows to sidestep her, gleefully making Johansson miss with undulating torso weave. Lucy punching Scarlett's derierre as promised--sliding in behind and collecting each saucy swipe--like a matador sliding rapiers into a bull. The fifth touch comes late the round--Lucy grinning, hands at her knees as she slips half a dozen Johansson punches, then guides her past, face first into ropes. Liu steps in and cup-claps a thick chunk of buttock, then backpedals away all proud of herself: Johansson fuming as she turns, guards up at the bell.

R3: Lucy hands at her sides, loose and relaxed--she's making just-in-time moves, showing breathtaking anticipation and reflexes that made her a champion. Scarlett tensing up--she's missing SO much it;s starting to get in her head: she's hesitating to throw and it's making everything worse. Liu cocky, bending forward to present her chin, then taking it away at the last second, changing distance just by switching her weight or pivoting around Scarlett, Johansson inching forward, starting to reach on shots and the end comes very quickly indeed. Liu leaning back from a Scarlett jab, crouching low under a pushy Johansson right, then LUNGING up and in with that fabled lead left uppercut drom the knees. GORGEOUS, shrieking connect--Johansson's head smashed straight back like a Pez dispenser, face to the ceiling as Liu gets ALL of Scarlett's chin. Poor Johansson out on her feet, swooning to the canvas as Lucy's already preening, cooing down at her slumbering foe. KO3 in devastating fashion, Lucy Liu.

After: Liu shaking opening-moment jitters, shows moves, power she hasn't illustrated in over two years: Johansson on her back for many worrisome minutes as blonde is brought gingerly around, Liu crowing, climbing ring ropes--Janet clapping, reaching up to pat Lucy's shining back: unholy alliance starting to bear fruit as Liu rediscovers form in spectacular fashion tonight. "We're knocking everybody out, all over again," gloats Janet to BLONDE! magazinre reporters, "I want Lucy 100% chin focused--when she commits, there isn't a celebrity on the planet under 120 pounds who can stand against her!"
