Before: "I think my draw was just as tough - if not tougher - than Amanda's," says a Mandy miffed at media focus on Righetti's charge through top comp. "Bjorlin's just as strong as Loken, and more durable, while Torrie's every bit the woman Ali Landry is at this point. But whatever - the press likes to talk about Amanda like she's the terminator - but maybe they'll give me the same treatment once I beat her." Righetti entering the favourite, but refusing to take Mandy lightly. "Moore's done very well at neutralizing stronger opponents," Amanda acknowledges at podium. "Nadia and Torrie were VERY frustrated against Moore, but I think I've got a bit too much game for Mandy to do the same things against me. I've got a lot more variety than Nadia, and I'm tougher to discourage than Torrie: I'll pull Moore out of her comfort zone and make her fight. Then I'll move on to the finals!" Moore in dark purple bikini; hair in scruffy beach bun; black gloves. Righetti in green sport-cut top with thin straps; baby blue swim suit bottoms; white gloves; hair in battle braid.

During R1: Fighters smack right hands; Righetti hooks Mandy in her tummy, pounds a right hand up top, driving Moore to nearest corner. Righetti encroaching, but not closing: she's allowing a small pie-shaped wedge of canvas for Mandy to organize in. Amanda right hand at cheek, opening siege with pounding left spear-jab in the body, then the hook to tits, then a slamming right against Mandy's guard. Righetti quickly withdrawing, leaving that little space. Moore frowning, trying to fight her way past Righetti's right side; she's met with a hail of straight, stamping punches, forcing her back into the corner. Moore regroups as Amanda doesn't body up...Mandy tries to fight past Righetti's left side. Hooks rake Amanda; straight right hands: once again she's pounded back into the corner, holding earmuff in place. When Mandy doesn't venture out - Righetti's stepping in with spearing body-jabs, piling up heavy touches, then withdrawing. That's the way of it: Righetti patient, maintaining position, forcing Mandy to come forward into withering, straight-punching fire. Bell: Moore frowning, puzzling out Amanda's odd mix of passivity/aggression.

R2: Same geometry: Righetti very aggressive early, pounding at Mandy's guard/shoulders just to slug her into a corner. Righetti withdrawing, giving Moore space, but penetrating with stiff left jabs to tummy as a goad. Moore advancing behind sturdy earmuff, trying to fight her way out: Righetti shells her, extending on straight, pounding lefts and rights, lips pursed as brunette guard absorbs shock. Mandy punched back into the corner again and again: Righetti occasionally palming up to push, but never getting tummy to tummy with cagey Moore.

R3: Same again: Moore quickly cornered, then given a little space: up to her to get out of there. Mandy shows crossed-arm against her body, trying to crouch forward, hook her way past: Righetti pounds away to either flank and both arms, beating Mandy into a stall, then bouncing tightly curled shots off her forehead. Moore forced back again and again, looking very cranky and perplexed as she's suffering heavy shelling. Righetti feeling her oats at the bell - pouring in a crashing straight right hand down into Mandy's stomach, sending ripples of hurt through the flesh as Moore cramps up in receipt. Moore busting up, hugging herself back to her stool: Righetti upbeat, smiling.

R4: It ain't broke: Righetti's not fixing it. Mandy quickly worked to a corner, then besieged - Amanda careful to extend on stamping punches, keeping her body well back from Moore. Murderous, pounding blows beat apart Mandy's guard. For the first time, her back's flat against turnbuckles as she desperately tries to keep her hands up. Right hand pounds through to chin...palm-down hook slams to mouth...right hand caroms off eyebrow...right hand stamps flat-knuckle to cheek: poor Mandy can't block the rain. Righetti in puncher's aspect - right heel up off canvas as she drives in: body taut with slugging rigor. OH that right hand straight down into Mandy's body: she cries out, hugging her tummy as she folds forward. Amanda altering her delivery, now curling rising left/rights in diagonal arcs - carving across Mandy's front to clip at her head, overhanging chin. Amanda knuckling Moore in her shoulders to reset, then staying busy: constant, non-stop beating being applied. MANDY GOES DOWN! It's all just too much...Moore finally wilting to all fours, panting/whining...she's done! KO4 in systematic fashion - Amanda Righetti.

After: Moore distraught, having a little cry of disappointment in immediate aftermath, then rallying to offer Amanda a congratulatory hug. "I had to deny Amanda range, angles, and clinches," Righetti explains in postfight. "Fighting her in the corners worked out great - it forced her to come at me, into my punching, and she just broke down under the pounding. I'm super-pumped: I was honestly more worried about Moore than I was for any other fight. I feel like I could go another 10 rounds just on giddiness alone!"
