6. Alexis Ren vs Mary Elizabeth Winstead II

Alexis: 23 YO, 5’;8 ½ (1.74 m), 27-8-0, 27 KO since 2016, VIXENs

Mary: 35 YO, 5’8 (1.73 m), 55-47-0, 49 KO since 2007. Foxfire

BEFORE:
Now Foxfire Boxing sends out its toughest veteran fighter: Mary Elizabeth Winstead to take on The Vixens Alexis Ren. This won’t be the first meeting between the pair. Back on November 30, 2018, MEW knocked Alexis out in 8, but showed Alexis a lot of respect in the post-fight. Of course, that was then, this is now.

“Ren is a good, tough fighter, She’s one of the girls making me admit SOME supermodels make good fighters,” Mary says in a brief pre-fight chat with the press. “But I want to win for my team. I proved last time that I was tougher than Alexis Ren and I’ll prove it again in this fight.”

Says Alexis Ren: “I’m a VIXEN and we always fight to win no matter how tough the opponent. Mary has proven she is very difficult to beat. I couldn’t do it in 2018, but I’m determined that 2020 will be different. VIVA VIXENS!”

Mary comes to the ring in a bright red bikini with white gloves and boots (red laces). Her bobbed hair is loose, but wetted down. Alexis is in a black bikini with silver spangles. Silver gloves and boots with black laces. Her dark hair has a ponytail with a silver ribbon bow.

Fighters look ready to go. The instructions are covered promptly. Gloves are tapped. Mary and Alexis are back in their corners. The bell rings.

ROUND 1:
Alexis moves in at speed and starts working Mary to the body. She’s slamming punches into Mary’s midsection, breasts and working her ribs Mary jabbing back steadily to Alexis’ head and chest. Alexis starts moving around Mary. Mary starts to follow, but Alexis suddenly brings a cracking right to Mary’s jaw and Mary lurches to one side. Alexis bouncing shots off the side of Mary’s head and harries her towards the ropes. Mary swinging around, trying to fight Alexis off, but takes a right uppercut to the chin and bounces into the ropes. Alexis tries to keep Mary pinned, but Mary fighting her way along the ropes manages to keep from being pinned. Bell finally rings . Alexis walks to her corner having won the opening round wide.

ROUND 2:
Mary strikes back in the next round, going in hard against Alexis’ juggs with a slashing attack with fast moving rights and lefts. Stung by these blows, Alexis fell back and tried to strike back at Mary’s rack, but Mary launched overhand shots into Alexis’ face. Alexis was again driven back, this time with her face suddenly puffy with red swellings. Mary then came forward with hooks into Alexis’ midsection. Alexis was tipping forward and her overhanging breasts were too good a target as Mary slammed rising uppercuts up into them. Now Alexis headed for the ropes, all hunched up and wobbly, but she took a seat on the ropes used them to withstand Mary’s attack which was cut short by the bell. Still, MEW emerged the round’s winner by a wide margin.

ROUND 3:
Mary kept up the attack as the new round began and went right to Alexis’ body with a fresh wave of punches. Alexis tried to make a stand but the battering drove her into retreat, but this time was able to scramble to avoid being trapped. Mary hung onto Alexis trail, jumping at her to fire in head shots that kept Alexis ducking and weaving. Finally, Mary was able to cut Alexis off and relaunch her body attack and try to get Alexis into the ropes, but Alexis’ jabbing seems to grow strong as the round ended. Mary again won the round by a solid margin.

ROUND 4:
Mary again came out quickly, but this time Alexis was a lot quicker and she stunned Mary with a blasting right under the chin. Mary was sent reeling back and Alexis added a quick right/left to the jaw to keep Mary in confusion. Mary did manage to cover her head, but then Alexis went after her to the belly and ribs. Mary fought back with a stream of sharp jabs to the face, but then Alexis rattled her with another clip to the chin. Mary was now covered up high, but her body was ripe for the punching and that’s just what Alexis did. Mary was soon doubled up and getting punches bounced over the top of her head as the round ended. Alexis Ren had come back and now this round wide.

ROUND 5:
Alexis comes storming in on Mary as soon as the bell rings and tries to drive her back into her own corner. Mary is ready for such an attack and battles Alexis with sharp, accurate jabs that cut into Alexis’ face. As Alexis’ attack falters, Mary pumps hooks into Alexis’ body and sends her reeling back. Now Mary surges forward and slams two quick uppercuts into Alexis’ chin AND DOWN GOES ALEX REN! Alexis lands on her butt and skids across the canvas before stopping with her in a sitting position with a glassy look in her eyes. Mary hurries to the neutral corner. Alexis sits there shaking her head as the referee starts his count, but then she seems to regain her senses and breaks the count at “EIGHT!” After a quick check of Alexis, the referee waves Mary back in. Alexis hunches up and keeps her gloves around her face to go tight defense as Mary has to settle for pounding Alexis’ flanks and shoulders down to the bell. Mary wins the round wide with a knockdown on her side of the judges’ cards.

ROUND 6:
Mary moves on Alexis soon after the bell sounds and resumes putting pressure on the VIXEN fighter with quick alternating shots to head and body. Alexis doing a better job of blocking Mary’s incoming this round and is countering with smacking hooks to Winstead bellymeat. Mary keeps trying to go to the head, but Alexis continues to block these and thump Mary’s abs. Mary stubbornly hanging in, but is forced to answer Alexis’ body work with midsection hooks of her own. Now the two have worked themselves into toe-to-toe closeness and the punch rate is climbing. Alexis is getting some real impact into her punches and she starts to slowly drive Mary back. Alexis now able to bring some rising punches into Mary’s breast line and keep Mary in slow retreat. Mary is still resisting even as she loses ground to the aggressive Alexis. Bell rings. Alexis Ren edges Mary Winstead out in a hard fought stanza.

ROUND 7:
Alexis and Mary both out quickly and circle each other at center ring. Mary now finally able to get at Alexis’ head and bangs home right cross/left hook combo to the jaw. Alexis recoils and Mary lands a quick uppercut to the chin. Alexis stumbling back in some confusion. Mary shoots forward and catches Alexis’ chin again. Alexis now covering up her battered face and Mary goes to the body. Mary working over Alexis from breast to belly and trying to shove her to the ropes. Alexis struggling to fight back does buy herself some time with a sturdy right to Mary’s jaw that stalls MEW’s attack. Alexis slips away from the ropes, but Mary quickly overtakes her and pounds Alexis to the body to try to get her into the ropes. Alexis uses some evasive footwork to avoid the strands, but she is scrubbed hard to the body until the round ends. MEW takes this one wide.

ROUND 8:
Mary again tries to put pressure on Alexis to the body, but Alexis fighting back more strongly this round and pumping counters into MEW’s own body. How they are really going at it at close range, punches being slammed into sweaty bodies with SMACKS that can clearly be heard by ringsiders. Grim determination from Mary and Alexis as they seem to be trying to break each other down to the body. Breasts, ribs, and stomachs are getting pounded with tight, short rights and lefts with feet set to maximum power. Alexis finally starts to fall back and Mary presses forward as time runs out and the bell sounds. Two stand there breathing, hard dripping sweat, bodies throbbing from the blows, they look at each other with burning eyes. Mary and Alexis want to win this and there are still two rounds to go. They turn away. Judges total the points and Mary has managed to pull out a close win.

ROUND 9:
Corner crews are very busy during break as Mary and Alexis sag on their stools, breathing hard and trying to summon the energy for the final two heats of this fight. The bell sounds, it is Alexis Ren who moves faster. Looks like another blitz attack and this time Mary is just a little too slow to react. BAM! Mary is clouted with a right to the jaw and then POW! A left to the jaw. SMACK! A right uppercut to the chin. Mary is hurled back into her own corner and Alexis is on her just smashing away at Mary’s head. Mary is getting busted up! Mary wraps her arms around Alexis and they go spinning out of the corner. Referee has to pull them apart. Mary is a wreck, but she tries to get her mitts up as Alexis comes back at her. Mary at least able to block Alexis from doing more damage to her head, but now Alexis is free to pound away at Mary’s body with a thorough swabbing attack. Mary is driven across the ring, only able to cover up to the head while Alexis hammers her downstairs. Mary finally smacked into the ropes where she huddles under an all-out Alexis Ren pounding. Mary hanging in despite the storm of leather that is slamming into her and her legs don’t give way. Bell ends a triumph Alexis Ren shutout round, but Mary Elizabeth Winstead is still standing when she peels herself off the ropes. Still one round left.

ROUND 10:
Final round, Foxfire corner crew works hard to clean up the damage inflicted on Mary by Alexis in the last round. Mary not giving up, comes out looking to fight and she goes at Alexis with determination. Alexis content to circle and exchange probing punches with Mary, but eventually Mary has to make her move and she comes forward swinging for Alexis’ head. Alexis proves faster as she shoots out a counter right that crunches into Mary’s face (right between the eyes) before MEW’s right can land. Mary jerks her head back and a tremor shoots through her body. Mary’s arms have sagged to her waist and Alexis unloads on Mary to the head. MARY CRUMBLES! Avalanche of Alexis Ren leather sends Mary collapsing into Alexis’ arms! Alexis hastily steps back as Mary’s bloody face slides down Alexis’ belly and ends up at Alexis’ boot tops. Alexis hurrying to the neutral corner. Referee moves in. Mary is trying to push herself up as she raises her head, face as bloody and swollen with a desperate determination in her eyes. Can she make it up? Should she even try? Yes, she does keep trying, but then her arms suddenly give way and she is dropped to the canvas just as the referee is declaring:

“NINE!...TEN!...YER OUT!”

THE WINNER ALEXIS REN OF THE VIXENS DEFEATS MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD OF FOXFIRE BOXING!

AFTER:
Alexis jubilant in victory: “I beat their ‘tough girl’ and it feels great!” She’s heard telling teammates as they ground around to hug and congratulate her on the win.

Gloom in the Foxfire ranks as a busted up Mary has to be helped from the ring. “I thought I had her,” Mary is heard to sadly murmur to teammates, “but she got me instead. I’m sorry I let you down.”

The Foxfire ladies crowd around and assure Mary: “You didn’t let us down. You gave it all you had. We love you, MEW!” Tears trickle down Mary’s bruised and swollen cheeks as she is moved to the dressing room.
