15 January 2000 Jeri Ryan vs Jeanne Tripplehorn

Before: Tripplehorne a smooth ring stylist, good test for Ryan who will need pressure and pop to compete. Jeanne in black sportsbra, red aerobics bottoms, Jeri in white sportsbra, blue/white bikini bottoms.

During R1: Jeanne launches a sneaky lead right over Jeri's jab, pre-empting the blonde's right hand, and setting up for a grooving left hook on the temple that busts Ryan open and leaves her wobbly-butt to start. Jeri never recovers, as Jeanne pivots off her hook, circling and bathing Ryan in leather to the bell.

R2: Jeanne pawing at Jeri's lip with the jab from an extended left arm, hooks off it effectively, and by the middle minute, Tripplehorne is locked in. Ryan blundering forward, Jeanne tagging with a hook or right uppercut, then pivoting left or right around Jeri - Ryan can't get set to punch. Jeanne able to explode bombs off Ryan's face and head this round, leaves Jeri a punch drunk mess at the bell.

R3: Tripplehorne in the zone, slashing the wide rights and lefts while stepping lively around Ryan. Jeri wakes up midway through, steps over to the right, cutting off the ring and walking Jeanne into a clouting right hand across the lips that sends the brunette stumbling several steps. Jeri punishing the brunette's flanks with clubbing shots from the hips - Jeanne countering effectively with her back to the ropes at the bell.

R4: Jeri looking stronger, more confident, continues to cut off the ring and bring her guns to bear on Tripplehorne's brown midriff. Jeanne running this round, doesn't look anxious to mix it up.
R5 Jeri stuns Jeanne with a spearing lead right to the breadbasket, then jolts the brunette with a clouting left across the mouth. Tripplehorne looks dazed, and Ryan loads up, smacking the taste out of Jeanne's mouth with a wide right hand, and Tripplehorne is out on her feet. Swooning forwards, Jeanne topples leisurely backwards to sprawl on her back, out cold as Jeri stares on. KO5 Jeri Ryan.

After: Jeri just too rugged for Jeanne, takes Tripplehorne's best offerings, then rams them down her throat with a spectacular, basically one-punch knock out. Jeanne T out for several minutes as ringside physicians anxiously attend.
