Before” Victoria always had trouble with Catherine Bach, a wild brawler who used lopping punches from all angles to disrupt Principal’s more orthodox boxer/puncher style. Anderson doesn’t hit as hard as Back once did, but she’s fitter, and keeps bombing until someone stops her. It’s a close fight on paper, but most pundits agree Vicki’s best days are behind her, while Pam’s basically in her prime.

Both women wear bikinis—scarlet for Victoria, a pale pink for Pam. Oudoor ring.

During:

R1: Vicki does a nice job of stick and move this round, batting Pam’s huge jugs with lefts and rights, and shoving the blonde back by her shoulders in the clinches. Pam doesn’t get warmed up until it’s all over.

R2: Pam’s guard is predictably low, set up by Principal’s chest jab, and Anderson is there for Victoria’s still-dangerous right cross this round. Pam takes the punch repeatedly on the cheek, and has a glossy swollen look towards the end of this round. Anderson still not very busy—she’s waiting for Victoria to get off and Principal can still be effective when not pressured. Anderson wobbled several times in the round.

R3: Pam swats at Victoria’s breasts with a left then comes over the top with an avalanche of overhand rights, looping the punch to catch Vicki over and over his round. Several crashing rights put Principal in trouble as she staggers forward. Pam just slugging, hair in her eyes as she flashes a puncher’s grin, begins to take Victoria apart with wide swinging lefts and rights.

R4: Pam has drawn Vicki into a brawl and both women takes turns beating the daylights out of the other. Each seems just one punch from oblivion, when Pam gets her second wind and clubs Vicki to the ropes with overhand rights. As Vicki sags, Pam lunges in, bringing tremendous force behind her right hand, and Victoria’s head spins from the force of the blows. Pam finishes up the round almost like a foxy boxer, batting away with lefts and rights from a wide stance as Vicki soaks it up to the bell.

R5: Pam lands a sweeping right hand to open the round, and Principal fighting hurt from the get-go. Vicki still trading, but the sting is gone from her punches, and her eyes are dim as Pam continues unabated. Pam clearly enjoys dishing to Victoria, smiling and taunting the older woman in clinches.

R6,7: Pam as become a bully, clubbing and cuffing Victoria around the ring. Principal is nearly defenseless, having absorbed tremendous punishment from countless right hands over the first half of the bout. She staggers forward behind her guard, basically allowing Pam to tee off on her.

R8: Victoria’s refusal to quit in her corner sees her take a vicious beating this round. Pam uses a left to the chest to set up that sweeping right again, and that predictable combination proves devastating, slugging Principal slack-jawed to the ropes. Vicki sags on the ropes and takes another wide right to the head and she is out. Trapped on the ropes, however, Vicki doesn’t go down, giving Pam the opportunity to whup on a defenceless opponent. 5 crashing rights pound Victoria further into unconsciousness until the ref rushes in to stop the carnage, Victoria lies lifeless in his arms as Pam struts the ring.

After: It’s the kind of fight Victoria is in all too often these days, still too proud to quit when she is getting hurt. Pam is in her element, fighting a shot veteran who couldn’t hurt her, and someone who stands her ground to take punches rather than avoid them.
