16 July 1999 Daisy Fuentes vs Kristy Swanson

Before: Kristy back in action after a long lay off, takes on a tough customer in Puerto Rican Fuentes. Daisy, never one to take training all that seriously, is a hard nosed brawler with a classic Latin pressure style, Swanson a strong belonde who describes herself as a boxer-puncher. Kristy in white jogbra, teal adidas terrycloth trunks, hairstyle from “The Chase”—Fuentes in teal aerobics two piece.

During R1: Daisy lures Swanson inside and the two lean on one another at center ring, ripping 1 or 2 punches to the body, then falling in to waltz. Kristy surprisingly adept inside, beats Fuentes at her own game to take the first.

R2: Swanson likes it inside and bodies up to go cheek to cheek with Fuentes, Tough, grinding action downstairs as both big women lift smacking blows into the waist and stomach of the opponent. Kristy walks Fuentes to the ropes, and digs in with her head, getting good leverage on lefts and rights to the fut. Fuentes shuts down, taking a beating, and Kristy sands in front, working on Fuentes’ arms with pounding blows, Daisy getting outworked, drops the second by shutout.

R3: Swanson eager to close, Fuentes looking discouraged as the blonde walks her back into her corner. Nasty beat down as Swanson fights off Fuentes’ chest, beating the arms of the Latina black and blue, digging to her soft gut, and rattling her head back with sharp right uppercuts on the inside. Another bruising beating for daisy as she wears a “What do I have to do?” expression at the bell.

R4: The beat goes on—Swanson can’t keep that California beach bunny grin off her lips as she steps into Daisy, foreheads together and ripping lefts and rights into the Latina’s midsection. Fuentes getting hurt now, sags to the ropes covering up as Kristy rips lefts and rights to the body and head. All Swanson as Fuentes fold forward, head jarring to the side as Kristy turns her brawn shoulder into chopping blows, and suddenly Fuentes flops to all fours, Swanson steps back and it’s over—Fuentes waving off the ref and quitting rather than taking more of this abuse. KO4 Swanson.

After: Shockingly one sided pounding for the tall, buff and tanned blonde, who simply beat the fight out of the normally hyper-aggressive Fuentes, Swanson looking good at 130, could carry a big stuck going forward.
