UNIFIED WELTERWEIGHT TITLE

Before: Welter supremacy hangs in the balance—Landry ruling with an iron fist for over a year, but Gena considered to be as good a match as Ali can get at this weight. Most speculation turns on Ali’s level of motivation—Landry known to let her weight go in between fights and shooting assignments—if she takes Nolin less than seriously, belts could change hands in a heartbeat. Gena lee in black bikini, thin strap sports bra style top—Ali gold bikini.

During R1: Landry out a little flat—a zesty Gena Lee pounces to land some stern right hands on the champ’s chin. Ali pulling the jab back low—Nolin stepping up and labeling her opponent just like she’s supposed to—good round for the blonde—Ali on her heels, backing up and getting bullied.

R2: Ali feints the jab to get Gena’s right hand started, but beats the blonde to the punch with a diving short right on the mouth. Fight turns just like that—Nolin wobbly butt and staggering around—Ali double pumping the jab and bashing face with jackhammer rights to slap the mouthpiece off Gena’s teeth. Landry labeling Gena with some heartstopping rights, but can’t get the blonde of her feet—champ goes back to a more cautious posture and Nolin pulls it together late. Gena lee back on the warpath in the  last minute ,backing Ali up with overhand rights—Landry blocking high, but still carried sideways with the sheer force of Nolin’s swings.

R3: Gena goes crotch with a sick, thudding left/right/left, head down, arms pumping and the ref steps in, almost unable to believe the flagrancy of the foul. Ali tearing up, given a minute to collect herself as Gena simmers in a neutral corner. Fight resumes—Nolin goes  right to the clinch, twisting Landry into a headlock and pushing the brunette to her knees, Another round of warnings—fight resumes—Nolin now in control with armlocks, smothering clinches up high—Landry bullied into the ropes and laced repeatedly, across the face as she ref struggles to separate the big women in tight. Final minute, Gena wading in to do more harm—Ali changes focus, staying compact and meeting the blonde on  the way in with a THICK right hand to the pit of the belly—Gena forced to clinch, but offensively—she’s hanging on for dear life as Ali reaches under the blonde’s arms, forcing room inside and cudgeling to the waist at the bell.

R4: Ali taking the play away with body shots—Nolin still aggressive coming in, but Landry taking a little step back, walks the blonde into truly vicious right hand blasts as the girls fall together. Nolin shaken repeatedly, starts to back off, but then Ali is able to punish with the jab, walk Gena down, and go to the body with BOTH hands. Nolin sucking wind at the bell—Ali slowly imposing her will through 4.

R5: More Ali getting big on Gena, Ali fighting like a bantamweight the way she rides back with Gena’s right hand and counters underneath with those plunging right hands. Nolin wobbly butt, clinching up around Ali’s shoulders—brunette able to get her head on Gena’s shoulders and pump away—lefts and rights backing Gena into the ropes and leaving her wilted at the bell.

R6: Good two way slugging round as the girls stand at power punching range and start to open up, Both girls shaken by right hands on the chin, but legs are holding up well in this fight. Final minute gets sloppy as Gena bodies up and tackles Ali to the canvas—prompting more holding and referee’s outrage.

R7: Ali bodies Gena to the ropes, steps back,  gets off with clubbing blows from both hands as the big blonde covers up to take on her shoulders and ribs. Nolin takes over, swatting Ali into the ropes with big sidearm rights, then banging away with bludgeoning lefts and rights against the brunette’s arms and body. Back and forth like this—girls getting off, girls staying tightly covered up under fire—not a lot\ of movement or subtlety here as big women bash away with attrition in mind.

R8: Ali continues to lay I with Gena, trying to be first and last, but both women are staying busy in bursts. Nolin unable to really extend or loop her punches—she’s looking very professional in there, but Ali more comfortable with the conventional exchanges. Midway through, tough lefts and rights to the body seem to have Nolin discouraged—she sinks into the ropes as Landry digs in.. Ali just pushing up with her guard against Nolin, then going to the gut with jerking little hooks and it’s all too much—Gena sinks to a knee with a grimace—she needs her 8. Ali licking the salt off her lips as she watches a pale Gena lee get it together, then the champ gets back to ride Gena hard to the bell.

R9: Shoulder to shoulder, compact punching—should be all ali, but it’s ALL Gena Lee this round, Nolin finally hammering the champ’s sturdy gut,. Digging into the beef with short swiping lefts and rights—Nolin just laying on Ali, keeping her hands low and busy downstairs. Finally some serious bra-busting from Gena as she goes to Landry’s  jugs with swiping malice—Landry freezing up and taking as those round brown mounds get a flapjacking. Ali’s butt rests on the ropes the entire final minute as Gena works her over—Sweaty shutout for Gena lee as Landry looks punished at the bell.

R10: Gena going in tight again, juts to show she can. All Gena lee, using that shoulder and left elbow to nudge Ali back, stepping in with tough little shots to the gut, nudging ali back again—Landry walked back into the ropes and she’s just not firing back at all, Ali with her right at her chin, left her at her belly, bending left and right, trying to ride with Nolin’s punches, but midway through a GORGEOUS Nolin right uppercut finds the chin and sprawls the champ wide eyed to a corner. Nolin wild on follow up and it costs her. Ali able to tie up and smother as the crows boos in the final minute. Gena whining to the ref as Ali shamelessly holds—Nolin can’t hurt her foe anymore as time runs out. Comes back a workmanlike UD10 Ali Landry.

After: Nolin defiant, disrespectful after the announcement—but it’s another loss to Ali Landry. Landry just piling up wins, took her at getting Gena out of there, but when it didn’t happen, champ just went about her business, beating Gena sufficiently to the body and arms to downgrade the blonde from Hurricane to Tropical Storm status down the stretch. Nolin frustrated, but turning it on too late to really threaten—she has to learn to manufacture runs to win close games.
