Becky G vs Isabela Merced

Latina Knockouts vs Global Boxing Syndicate

Results: Lookout!; Story: Zenpo

Before: Both Isabela and Becky started off the year on the wrong foot, but Becky promises that this year things will be different. “I plan to fight more, be more involved, knock bitches on their ass, and do what I do best. Isabela is just unlucky that she's the first of many to go down"

Isabela rolls her eyes and picks up her mic from the other side of the table," oh God… these Latina Knockouts sure have a thing for me huh? Didn't you witness how I starched your friend Cierra? That's how you want to end up too? I'm fine with it, let's do it then!"

Becky stands up from her seat to face Isabela, clearly infuriated, "First of all, me and Cierra are completely different people. Yeah we train together but I'm a different fighter. You'll see later tonight!"

The tempers are high here tonight with two fiery Latinas wanting to rip each other apart. Becky G bouncing lightly on her toes, wearing a clean all white outfit with the Latina Knockouts logo written in gold letters on her trunks. Isabela on the other corner doing some quick shadow boxing wearing red trunks, "GBS '' stitched on with white lettering and a black bikini top to put everything together. Both are now prepared to battle it out for 10 rounds in the Flyweight division…. FIGHT!

ROUND 1: The young and petite Latinas have no trouble going out guns blazing at the start of this fight. Becky gets the better deal in their exchange when two straights to the chin have Merced stumbling back. Becky forces herself back in with a couple of stiff jabs to the body and head. Isabela throws a barrage of hooks aimed to the head, but nothing to scare Becky away just yet. Becky is smart with her punches, calculating every ounce of energy to produce damage on Isabela and she can sure feel it. Her head is getting rattled from side to side all the way till the bell rings and Becky takes the round wide!

ROUND 2: Becky continues with the aggressive approach as it has been successful thus far, but Isabela has other plans for this round. As Becky comes in with a three punch combo, two punches manage to hit Isabela but right before the third punch, she sneaks in an uppercut with dangerous intent! Becky gets rocked on the chin and her eyes bulge wide with surprise when she feels the Peruvian’s power. Although she’s small, Isabela has knocked other flyweights out cold so Becky needs to watch that, or she might be going to sleep early! Merced stalks Becky, aiming powerful punches to the head and all Becky can do is try and keep her guard up as best she can. A good jab opens up the guard and Isabela rocks her with two straights down the middle finished with a hook to the cheek. The power difference is obvious by just looking at Becky’s face at the end of the round compared to Isabela’s.

ROUND 3: The Latina Knockouts corner were harsh with Becky during the one minute break, “BE f*cking SMART BECKY!” was shouted a couple of times by her new trainer Salma Hayek. Becky nods her head and bites down on her mouthpiece as the bell rings to start this third round. Isabela clearly isn’t feeling Becky’s punches at the moment as she stalks the young Mexican once more. Becky doesn’t come out firing as usual but instead begins to use her jab to get the points. She smacks Merced with three stiff jabs to the face and when Isabela wants to counter, Becky is out of sight. Becky is bouncing in and out of Isabela’s reach, and every time she’s inside she manages to land a solid punch to the head or to the body. Isabela swings wildly and misses, Becky goes in but Isabela was waiting on that and gets her good with a hook to the liver. Close round thus far, Becky manages to out punch her Latina rival, with much clear contact so she takes the round.

ROUND 4: Becky continues with the same formula as last round, go in, land a couple of punches and avoid the bombs. Isabela on the other hand is a master of adjusting during the fight and she finds a loophole in Becky’s attack. She notices Becky leans her head forward every time she goes in to attack and she plans to take advantage. Next set of jabs from Becky, she leans in just as predicted, and Merced launches a perfect hook to the jaw while she’s stepping back. Becky’s head swivels, knees start to give out and WHAM! A solid powerful straight left to the forehead sends Becky crashing on her back! KNOCKDOWN FOR MERCED!! Isabela pounds her chest over her fallen foe, the ref comes and shoves her to a neutral corner so he can begin the count! Salma screams her lungs out, begging for her fighter to get back up! Becky manages to stand at the count of seven, and takes two extra seconds to get her gloves up and recover. The ref lets the fight go on and Isabela wastes no time to get on top of Becky. She traps the Latina Knockouts fighter on the ropes and targets bombs directly to the head forcing Becky to keep her guard up high. Horrible two minutes for Becky but she manages to stay on her feet for the remainder of the round! Isabela takes it by a wide margin.

ROUND 5: Becky is clearly hurt, unable to recover from her knockdown just yet and Isabela wants to capitalize on this. It’s all Merced early in the round as she tries to pick the lock on Becky’s guard. Becky manages to clinch up and grab onto her Peruvian adversary any chance she gets as she tries to work out how to stay in this fight but it's hard to think when Isabela is trying to knock her out of her senses. It’s a tough, gritty, and tiring round for both women, but Isabela is the only one throwing any punches. Isabela shows her brute strength as she pushes herself off of Becky and punishes her with two devastating punches to the gut. Luckily the bell rings and Becky survives another round. She needs to change her game plan or this might be over in the next round!

Round 6: Isabela wants to end it all right now and charges towards Becky but gets met by a stiff jab to the nose. Merced smiles and wipes her nose with her glove, she almost looks happy that Becky still has a desire to fight. The warrior in Becky doesn't want to give up just yet as she continues with the jab and then to then focuses on the body. Merced’s smile fades away quickly when she realizes this fight isn’t over yet. Isabela fires back but she gets beaten to the punch as Becky slams a good three punch combo to the face. Becky is on her second wind, somehow tagging Isabela every time they trade punches. The GBS corner looks confused, screaming all types of directions at their fighter. Becky starts to gain ground, stalking Isabela and eventually trapping her in the corner. Combos are thrown from the Mexican, not very powerful but definitely effective and Isabela shows no answers at the moment. End of the round and the crowd goes wild! Everyone thought this was almost over and Becky made a miraculous comeback in round 6!

ROUND 7: Both women have shown true heart thus far with each taking three rounds and neither wants to lose this fight. Isabela’s corner begs her to be smart and stay controlled but her pride gets to her. She swings wildly but her speed isn’t there anymore and gets countered with a picture perfect lead left hook to the tip of the chin and SHE GOES LIMP ON IMPACT! Isabela crashes onto the canvas, her body bouncing before staying still on her side parallel to the ropes. KNOCKDOWN FOR BECKY G! She quickly runs to a neutral corner and the ref starts the count. Isabela on cruise control, gets up with the help of the ropes but can she continue fighting? Her eyes have a blank look but she picks her gloves up and demands to keep fighting. The ref lets it continue and Becky traps Isabela on the ropes. Becky’s punches are landing with ease as she targets Isabela’s mid section. Her guard drops lower with every punch and Becky starts going upstairs. Six.. Seven.. Eight unanswered punches as Isabela gets pounded to sleep! The ref notices a tad late and jumps to hold Isabela’s unconscious form! JUST LIKE THAT! BECKY G DEFEATS ISABELA MERCED VIA TKO7!

AFTER: “She’s tough I’ll tell you that. Respect to Isabela, she came out to stand and bang but fights are won by being smart, I know that now. This is my year, I want to be champ no matter what. All eyes have been on Cierra Ramirez for the past year, but now it’s my turn to stand up for this stable! She’s my friend and training partner, but we both know only one of us can be champ, and that’s me!”
