Before: Tweeden in the big show as a result of her upset KO over tough Cat Bell. All the pre-fight talk concerns Kiana’s rumored imminent retirement--Tweeden may be slipping in underneath the radar screen. Tom a prohibitive favourite, but dismissed underdog in a role Leeann apparently relishes, Black Kiana Enterprises twist-tie top for Tom, high cut red aerobics bottoms, white shoes and gloves, floral print bikini for Leeann, white shoes and gloves.

During R1: Kiana out in a lanky Tommy Hearns stance, left hand low, right hand coiled shoulder level--Leeann with a much more orthodox stance, chin tucked, repeatedly raising her gloves to her eyebrow. Tom puts on a clinic, stepping in and out with the spearing jab, legging her way around Leeann, and ripping the heavy Hearns-style hook to the pit of the stomach just to see if Leeann really wants to be here. Tweeden’s guard remains tight and intact, she gives up the body, while picking off much of the head hunting.

R2: Tweeden gets on the board, countering Tom’s habit of bringing back the jab to her waist with crisp left hooks on the mouth, by the midway point, Tom is flinching, and Tweeden jams a change up right hand over top Kiana’s shoulder onto the Asian’s cheek. doesn’t look like much, but Kiana’s legs go funky, and she is hurt, fading to the ropes with liquid eyes. Tweeden stepping with the distraught champ, loads up a wild looping overhand right that skids off Kiana’s forehead--Tom shuddering for a moment, then spilling across the ropes, nearly going down but the corner breaks her fall,. Tweeden wading in, shakes off Tom’s slapping, don’t-hurt-me punches to dig left and right uppercuts into Tom’s midriff and breasts, leaving Kiana throbbing at the bell.

R3: Kiana’s legs shot, she stands flat footed, reaching with the left, chopping the right, then twisting her hips back into wide left hooks as Tweeden goes toe to toe. Tom’s heavier hands start to take the lay away as Tweeden stays in power punching range and by the final minute, Tom reefing heavy single shots to the stomach, reloading , then chopping short right hands around Tweeden’s guard to break her down this round.

R4: Kiana recovering a little mobility, steps around her jab and bangs back Tweeden’s head with authority. Still bringing the left low, Kiana eats Tweeden’s pedestrian left hook as the girls shine one another up in pitched two-way action at long distance. Down the stretch, Kiana bends into a sudden right hand on the teeth, freezing Leeann’s legs as Tweeden leans forward in shock. Tom steps right, touches Tweeden’s cheek with a timing left, then heaves in the crashing right to the side of the head, knocking Leeann out cold on her feet. Tweeden topples forward, lying straight out on her face as Kiana gives her a moment’s cold glare before a victory strut. KO4 Kiana Tom.

After: Tweeden giving the champ some queasy moments, and exposing those aging legs as Kiana looked rigid, robotic at times, especially when hurt. Tom just too big a hitter at this weight, but Leeann had her moments, and didn’t look out of place against the biggest name in fitness.
