Kristin Kreuk's barefoot, angry-butt stomping away from the ring told the tale: over 10 furious, fast-paced flyweight rounds, unheralded Sarah Carter had just recorded an unlikely one point duke over the WB's reigning "Hot-tie Property". As private studio gym wars go, this high octane brawl was worthy of PPV.

From the outset, Slick Kris abandoned her usual safety-first approach to go right at her blonde - a strategy that had paid off handsomely against classy Claire Danes. But Carter showed no sign of intimidation, choosing to trade, and eager to meet Kreuk toe to toe all around the ring. Virtually every round was the same: slender-bodied battlers lathering away on the outside with batting haymakers, or huddling in close to hustle punches back and forth into taut little tummies. Each convinced of her own superiority, the girls disdained any semblance of defense, resulting in well-scrubbed faces and shiny pink torsos. Only in the final two heats did the constant pattern of hurt and repraisal break form. After breaks, it was Carter hungry to continue, Kreuk backing away. Along the ropes it was Kreuk's back against the strands and on the inside, it was Kreuk initiating the clinches. Sarah's output and intensity never wavered - in fact - sensing a little quit in Kristin, the blonde increased her efforts, battering Kreuk in the final round to cement the victory. An enraged Kreuk, feeling betrayed by WB handlers who had promised her an easy territorial bout, did not stick around for the post-match party.
