2. Alyssa Lynch vs Samara Weaving

Alyssa:

Before: Alyssa getting all up in Samara’s face midring “Clean sweep, B*tch, clean sweep! You got nothing to stop what’s coming, rookie!” over the ref’s instructions. Bodying up to use her extra inches, Samara not impressed, puts a glove in over Alyssa’s face and shoves her back. Lynch swings a roundhouse right to the tits, Weaving steps into an uppie to the belly, ref gets in between, fines all around, threatens to suspend the match immediately before sending fighters back to their corners.

Alyssa in a light teal string bikini with white gloves and boots. Her dark hair is in a ponytail. Samara in blue triangle bikini, black gloves and boots, blonde hair gathered up and draped over right shoulder to start.

R1: Girls close to hooking range, then take turns dishing it up, rotating midring. Alyssa putting her punches together better, timing Samara with a short right hand to set up clubbing left/rights--Weaving landing the harder blows, especially a bludgeoning hook to the rightside ribs and ear of Lynch to knock her off stride. Girls start to fall in now after punching--wrestling and pushing up top, then getting off in short, violent bursts. Alyssa wants it more--she’s pushing her way into the shorter woman, going to the belly and breasts with meanspirited determination, Samara always competitive, but giving ground, drops the round.

R2: Samara shaking off the hurt, gets her legs underneath her and ups the work rate considerably this round. Alyssa going defensive, turning her left shoulder, and slipping, moving her head, taking shots on her shoulders and sides, but the blonde is definitely the aggressor. Fight goes to the ropes - Weaving with her forehead on Lynch's left shoulder, thumping away to the belly and back with both hands as Canuck content to minimize damage rather than answer back, clearly sacrificing movement to conserve energy. In the final minute, Alyssa comes to life, hard two way punching from both women as they lay in cheek to cheek, taking turns skidding rights off sweaty torsos inside, or curling sharp left hooks to hips and backs. Phone booth fighting an O&E specialty, and Samara proves an apt pupil in a little patch of canvas in Lynch's corner. Both busting well to the body, but Weaving busier, carries the round in toe to toe grinding.

R3: Alyssa flat footed midring, but now she's helping herself to Samara's face with the jab before settling inside. Weaving fighting dejected, getting outclassed, then outslugged on her own terms - Lynch's walking her blonde into the ropes and getting big on her at will. Crippling body shots have Samara bent over hurt - Alyssa's eyes light up as she sees her foe protecting her right side and a hook to the liver leaves Weaving sagging sideways on the ropes at the bell

Alyssa can taste the win, committed to hound and pound, Samara trying to come forward but missing too much, getting out of position, then victimized from either side. Weaving ineffective when she's rocked back, and once she starts to retreat, she can't get her rhythm. Lynch taking what she wants: belly, breasts and face, dropping 2 and 3 punches at a time then moving - constantly breaking Samara down. At the beginning of the third minute, rare exchange sees girls trade hooks off missed right hands and ALYSSA GOES DOWN! Stunning blow on the teeth stupefies Lynch - she sinks in slow mo to her knees as Weaving misses a sweeping right hand over the top. Ref shoving Samara away as she bellows in rage - Alyssa gets dreamily to her feet for 8. All Weaving in the dying seconds, feverishly belting away as Lynch sits in the ropes, blonde driving hard for the stoppage.

R5: Alyssa still hurting, tries to jab a perimeter to give herself time to recover. End of the first minute, Samara weaves in under the stick, pulls a clocking right hand over Lynch's extended left and lands with shattering impact to BUCKLE THOSE KNEES! Lynch takes a seat for the second time in less than five minutes, pleading with the ref through her eight. Weaving brawny out of the corner, shoving and muscling her girl by the shoulders to pancake Alyssa against the ropes. Blonde propping Lynch up with the left at the neck and whalloping away with full bodied rights, just bending into haymakers without rhyme nor reason again and again and the REF JUMPS IN! Alyssa all bundled up, Samara hopping away in triumph – TKO5 as the rookie evens things up!

After: Alyssa deposited on her stool, being tended to as Samara sashays her way first to a neutral corner then comes up alongside her, ruffling Lynch’s hair as she passes in front of her. Weaving drops down in a squat in front of her, then turns letting her booty sway as she lets her arms up like she just don’t care, before crawling up to her on all fours with a satisfied smirk. Climbing her way into ‘Lyssa’s lap, almost planting a kiss on her lips before turning and rubbing her rump all over Lynch’s body, grabbing the beaten brunette’s hands and rubbing them all over her body.

ALL of this is being captured in detail by the Boxing World Online photographer, who’s jumped the railing to get better angles. Looks like Smackey’s learned his lesson, while his rankings mean that this fight isn’t QUITE as big an upset as it was when it was booked (#22 bantam loses to unranked fighter vs #44 fighter loses to #51) he is everything in his power to avoid getting banned from whatever OddMan has planned down the road!
