We’re LIVE! on Muscle Beach Venice and it’s a sultry sunset indeed along the Californian coast! We have five matches of non-stop boxing action tonight, which preclude a beach wrestling main-event. We’re glad you could join us for VIX: Flex It @ Muscle Beach Venice!

First to the ring is one of our guests who’s no stranger to these parts - being on live television on a weekly basis will do that for you - known to wrestling fans worldwide as the Man herself: the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion, Ms Becky Lynch!

Becky’s absolutely stunning in her baby blue bikini, waving to fans as she walks down the ramp, her long and flowy, flaming hair framed like a lion’s mane over her face and shoulders. “Glad to be here,” Becky says later to reporters by ringside. “‘’Bout time I got invited to one of these events, eh?. I heard that this Kyra girl’s good and all, but you know what? I haven’t lost me a fight before the ring, and I don’t plan on doing so anytime soon. I’m kicking arse as always tonight!”

Kyra’s turn at her entrance and it’s a surprising mix of bubblegum rock and electric pop, the Vixen striding onto the elevated stage in a pink bikini top and white briefs. Her dark hair’s braided out back as she waves to her fans high in the rafters.

“It’s a real honour to be fighting someone like Becky. I love women’s wrestling. Heck, I’ve wrestled before on the beach myself, and I’m always just amazed at how much work it takes to put on a show. Becky’s an amazing athlete, but this here’s a boxing arena. I hope that she’s a little out of her depth tonight so that I can pull ahead.”

Kyra’s had quite a run in 2020 herself, remaining undefeated thus far with a mixture of regular and JMD bouts since the start of January.

Both ladies face off in the middle of the ring: a raised platform above the sand, overlooking the sun-kissed Pacific. Kyra’s bringing a little height to this contest but Becky’s frame is definitely a little leaner and meaner after all the work she’s put into the WWE ring. Santoro bumping white gloves with Becky’s red, and HERE we go with ten rounds of boxing action!

ROUND 1:
Becky with the initiative, more comfortable inside the ring as she barrels head-first into Kyra, shocking the Vixen to the body with some early, thumping right hands. Santoro still not used to her opponent's aggression, hangs onto her arms tucked close to her body but still gets sent into the ropes multiple times. Becky definitely in her element, the cheers of the fans spurring her onwards as she hounds Santoro to the head and body, mixture of lunging overhangs with flurries thrown into the arms. But she can't quite pin Santoro down this early, Santoro eating another tummy shot to the left before the Vixen succeeds in getting away. Kyra does bite back later in the round, sensing some fatigue in the WWE starlet to poke her with fast jabs to the face until the bell resolves the first round wide for Lynch.

ROUND 2:
POWER blow to Becky’s face and Kyra's back in action!! Becky having underestimated her opponent's own strength, barreling forward once more at the sound of the bell, rocking Kyra's arms before taking a wide shot into the face all of a sudden! Becky suddenly looks glassy-eyed as she stumbles to one side, her footing almost lost if it wasn’t for her excellent training and balance. But Santoro stays on top of her, repaying the favour with gut shots of her own and straight hits to the forearms, driving Lynch back and making her fight for every inch of her ring. Wide round swings back to the Vixen’s corner at the end of three minutes, leaving Lynch gasping for breath as she realises this fight is very real indeed.

ROUND 3:
Back and forth these girls go as they test hooks to the arms and head, taking turns to swivel the face to the side or smack hard into the body. Becky of course has the physique of a bodybuilder, almost, partially taking Santoro off her feet during the mid-round exchange when a right hook slams into the side of the brunette’s face. Kyra lets out a yelp and grunt, goes spiraling into the ropes but manages to hang on for dear life and save herself from a potential knockdown. Becky, however, is also too tired to go running after the younger girl, gets put in her place in the final seconds by Santoro's reliable jabbing towards her head. End result is a draw between both women warriors.

ROUND 4:
Becky shows off her fighting spirit as she chases after Santoro for the majority of this round, repeatedly taking swings at Kyra's head and body and refusing to take no for an answer. Kyra on the other hand simply content with catching her breath, playing it defensively, and would rather take small potshots at the redhead from afar than barge in headfirst to suffer another slugfest. Problem is Kyra's the one who's bleeding points here, grunting as another lunging shot snags her on the chin before Becky reaches below and pounds Kyra to her body with another left-right combo. Not much more of this barrage Kyra can take, but for now, she manages to stave off disaster by staying out of Lynch's warpath.

ROUND 5:
Kyra's corner urging her forward in between rounds, Co-Head trainer Corey Saucier doing everything in his power to push Kyra’s potential. Santoro has her own balance of power and poise, but just needs the confidence to put that combo into practice. She slams a right hand into Becky's face early, which stuns the wrestler just as she came charging inwards to try and finish Santoro off. Becky lets out a grunt, her eyes squeezed shut as she takes more punishment to the head before managing to cover up and retreat. No issue for Santoro, who mixes her attacks high and low, high and low, jamming leather into Becky's arms and taut body. It’s a wild swing that’s returned from Lynch, however, narrowly blocked by Kyra’s arms, as the two ladies lock up in a clinch for the remaining seconds, another stalemate broken by the referee as these two mark their lines in the sand.

ROUND 6:
For someone relatively new to celebrity boxing, Becky Lynch has definitely impressed over the years since her debut. Going undefeated thus far has also contributed to her powerful mythos, and Kyra Santoro has surely taken on a challenge tonight by meeting Lynch head-on in this ring. Lynch springs forward with unnatural speed despite her bulk, slams a straight right into Kyra’s arms before peppering her head with more jab flurries. Santoro’s more than a little surprised at the free agent's spirit and energy left in the tank, weathers the round in anticipation of the fight maybe going the distance. The two women share some more brief skirmishes in the final minute, mutually sticking gloves into each other’s face and then grazing the tummy with gloves swung low. Ultimately, it's Lynch's aggression that wins her this round and leaving both women gasping for air in their respective corners.

ROUND 7:
Perhaps Becky’s not used to getting her face punched in for real - the redhead takes an early shot up into the nose that leaves her flailing and faltering for another attack run. Kyra has remained calm this entire time, blocking the wild attacks before softening the redhead up with a steady stream of jabs to her face, leaving a groggily swirling Becky shouting out in pain. It’s the bat-signal for Santoro to pounce! A left glove SMACK into the wrestler’s body has Becky stunned to the spot, before Santoro sends her head swiveling to the side as Becky loses her balance and COLLAPSES to canvas!! That power hook across her face was the final straw for the WWE sweetheart, as Lynch crashes down onto her chest and has trouble raising her head off the canvas!! Santoro raises her hand in victory all the way back to her corner, as the referee starts the count but ends it at 10!! The match is over!!

Official Decision: Kyra Santoro defeats Becky Lynch via KO7!

AFTER:
Jubilation in Kyra's corner as the Vixen takes home the first trophy of the evening! Kyra embraces Corey, gives him a big smooch on the lips and ignores the embarrassment on the lucky man's face. After that, she swiftly heads over to Becky's corner, and you'd never guessed that these two were just trying to knock each other out moments before - Kyra actually on her knees, apologising to Lynch profusely whilst spouting admirations and respect for her multiple achievements in the ring. Becky looking slightly amused, her tired face breaking into a smile as she tries to congratulate Santoro in turn for her victory tonight.

Well, we're certainly off to an auspicious start tonight with Kyra proving she can put away a champion (even if they belong to a different sporting arena)! Let’s hope her luck holds out for the rest of the year!
