BEFORE: "This is Piper's big moment," Lilly says in prefight. "That makes her dangerous. She's patterned her whole come-back towards a showdown with me, and any girl with that kind of focus, can beat you. I've always done well against Lilly-busters - look at my domination of Allison Mack - but I always respect them and train hard to beat them. There's not a lot of frills to her game - just good honest effort - so I'm looking forward to banging it out and seeing what she's got." Piper excited...picture of Lilly's been in the gym for a long time and it's time to cash-in. "Beating Evangeline Lilly's definitely one of my career goals," Piper admits. "She's a great fighter, but I can be great too, and I think I can build my greatness off of hers. I'm in peak form - I learned a lot from my recent set back to Cerra, and that loss really grounded me and kept me focussed throughout camp. There's no cheap way to get Lilly beat - you gotta get in there and work for it, and that's what I'm prepared to do." During R1: Piper banging Lilly's waist right/left; stepping out while jabbing Lilly's guard; stepping left while spitting jabs; hurling a right to pit of Lilly's belly. Evangeline showing loose crossed arm - right hand at left cheek/left across her gut - as she bobs, closes distance. Piper checks with a tight little right uppercut; sidesteps right, then catches Lilly a short right cross as Evangeline's bobbing into position. That's the way of it: Piper fighting at high tempo, shifting position for angles, getting off strong...Lilly getting ripped to body, touched to head...Piper sending a brawny statement in a first-round shutout.

R2: Lilly jabbing/hooking off the jab, beating Piper to punches. Perabo maneuvered to ropes...she crouches forward in crossed arm (right atop left), trying to crowd Lilly as Evangeline squares up strong. Lilly's chest pushing on Perabo's guard - Lilly's hands positioning at Perabo's shoulders...it's Lilly digging at flanks/ribs, bumping with her shoulders; Perabo squirting tight uppercuts while tucked in close, snatching hooks to Lilly's paunch. Midway through, Lilly shouting out "HAH!" as she BURIES the hook in behind Piper's right elbow: gasp-of-pain Perabo...she sits in ropes, unable to punch as Lilly revs it up. Savage beating about the hips/flanks for Piper - sweat flying from Lilly's brow as she reefs in either hand...blonde girl in a bad way, gradually lowering herself to all fours. Minute left on the clock when Piper takes her 8 count: Lilly marches back in - bodies Piper deep to ropes - processes her without mercy. Lilly chugging away - strong back, buns and legs all shredded up with the effort of containing and beating on Piper: Perabo keeping left across her gut/right at left cheek as she suffers a beat down. Bell: Lilly making hard eye contact - body shiny with sweat...Piper achy/painy after a rough 3 minutes under fire.

R3: Brawny left shoulder/chickenwing left elbow bumping as girls close, work hard to shove and shrug home punches in tight. Thick, sticking hooks to rival bodies; thumping right hands dug to ribs and flanks; constant scrubbing shoulder contact. Lilly stepping the very strong-legged Perabo backwards - eventually pushing her into ropes, then sorting out her tummy right/left hup-hup. Lilly on top late - leaning on PIper to keep her ropebound, then deploying rolling combos to offending blonde paunch. Piper grimacing, exhaling hot through pursed lips - trying to carve left uppercuts to brush Lilly back, or swing right hands in behind brunette left elbow. Gritty hammer and tongs to bell: Lilly pushing up off her blonde once again...Evangeline starting to separate herself on the cards as Piper's frowning with hurt.

R4: Girls in close, cramming right hands to tummies, then turning on hooks to chins. Minute mark - trade in hooks goes Piper's way as she cashes in while Lilly misses short...brunette staggers to her right all goggle-eyed, legs spasming! Piper: hooks Lilly's sternum from outside brunette left shoulder; arcs a right hand into Lilly's left ear from the same oblique angle. Lilly stunned...stumbling sideways to ropes in loose crossed arm...Piper walking her down, leaning in and BELTING her healthy right hands across the left cheek. Lilly staring, rung up righty...she turns to her right in confusion, accidentally showing her back to Piper: Perabo swings a hook straight-arm from the left shoulder, chipping Lilly on left side of jaw, from a weird rear/flank position. Awkward punch knocks Lilly back-first into ropes: she's totally unprepared for follow up hook flush on the chin, kicking her head back, dropping her hands to her thighs. Piper scooting into position - tucking a hook into Lilly's waist; hooking Lilly's chin...EVANGELINE'S SLOPPING FORWARD. Brunette toppling into blonde chest...Piper backing up, ripping hooks to Lilly's waist as brunette tips forward and LILLY GOES DOWN! Evangeline on her belly, badly disoriented...she struggles up wonky, swaying badly into ropes, eyes unfocussed, and THE REF WAVES IT OFF! Official hugging a groggy Evangeline Lilly to safety - that's TKO4 Piper Perabo!

After: Perabo slams her way through to glory - coming off the deck after a vicious beatdown to lay her rival low. Lilly confused by the stoppage, protesting groggily...Piper hugging everyone in her corner, crying tears of joy...it's a huge moment for a long-suffering and all but forgotten blonde. "I broke Evangeline Lilly!" Piper crows inadvisedly. "I was hurt - she was hurt: we KNEW it would be that kind of fight, and I just kept moving my hands, putting punches to work in her body...just competing - that's the key against Evangeline. From here, the sky's the limit...the division's ruled by vulnerable LOOKOUT fighters at the moment...it's a great time for me to break out and lay down the law at 120!" Piper! Piper! who's on your wish list? What do you do with this mandate? "Well," Perabo smiles conspiratorially, "there's a certain little project I have in mind near term, which you guys will learn about shortly, but longer term? With the body shots I'm throwing, I'd love to see how I stack up to Neve Campbell. She's thick, strong, has a helluva left hook to the body...I think that's a fight that's got 'classic' written all over it! And of course, if Lilly wants a rematch at some point, I'd be open to that. Of course, we'll have to see how she feels: maybe she'll decide that she doesn't want to put her body through that kind of punishment again...who knows?" BLONDE! Magazine delighted with the Lilly-busting effort, labelling Piper a "Clutch performer" in the wake of the result.
