Before: Shootout at OK corral expected - both girls with a penchant for streaming KO right hands, both with an insatiable appetite for celebrity chin.

"I'll stop her," says Tyra without a shred of doubt, "but I'll also punish her. See, Uma - all she's got is the right hand. I'm a total fighter - I'll box this girl, I'll bang this girl, I'll get inside and work her to the body - I'll just take what I want. Uma's a one trick pony - time to expose her before she gets out of hand."

Thurman composed, confident at the dais. "Tyra's the biggest ego in boxing backed up by the least ability," smiles Uma. "It's going to be my pleasure deflating this great sack of hot air. I hope she goes rounds, I really do - I want to enjoy this beating."

During R1,2,3: Identical looking rounds - Uma stalking in the first minute, releasing her right hand but not quite getting the range - Tyra taking over in the second minute and staying in charge to the bell. Banks showing superior footwork, ring generalship - she's lifting the strapping jab off her hip and depositing it to Uma's lips or chest. Tyra getting a nice rangy hook heavy into Uma's flank - big wet spank, moving Uma sideways as Tyra pivots left. Tyra looping her right hand, bending into it - she's also coming up short as Uma leans back, showing respect. All three rounds, Banks.

R4: Uma on the board, showing slinky, prowling footwork to cut off the ring, trading long, thudding jabs with Tyra midring. Uma loading up and leaning into her slinging right - missing over the top as Tyra ducks, eases Uma into ropey clinches as long bodies tangle up. Sloppy round - both girls uneasy with each other's power - choosing to negate it with clinches than risk a decisive exchange.

R5,6: Fight getting uglier - both girls sloppy as they take turns lunging in right handed, missing, and getting gobbled up in long-armed clinches. Fight spills to ropes - ugly mauling as Tyra uses her elbows to scrub Uma's face, bending her over the top strand, drawing warnings. Headlocks and armlocks - girls pushing and pulling against one another as bodies stagger into corners for breaks. Ref working hard, constantly tugging the two apart, issuing a stream of warnings for cheap conduct in the grasp - chests heaving, eyes glaring as Tyra claws out two more rounds to take a commanding points lead.

R7: Uma using her legs to disengage, roaming right, lifting a firm jab juicy off the hip - she's creating room to slug. Tyra feeling the sting of Uma's heavy stick - hanging back - it's Banks' least effective round as Thurman circles, gets off lanky. Late the round, Uma working behind a patient, intermittent jab, steps in with a rising, straight arm left, shifts weight into a slinging right cross and CATCHES TYRA'S CHIN! Head snap Banks, shockwave bows out her knees as she reels hurt to ropes - yelp of pleasure from Uma as she finally strokes home clean. Uma with a few seconds to enjoy herself - crowding Tyra at the ropes, palming her, hanging chin out over her shoulder and hoisting thick rights and lefts up underneath. Uma swinging like she's carrying pails of water in either hand, just a-bashing away as Tyra sulks against the strands.

R8: Tyra right back with smart boxing - lifting a snappy jab off her hip, spanking Uma back, circling away from predatory blonde. Thurman all about right hands, loading up too much - Banks able to circle and fade, pre-empt effectively to box out the round.

R9: Tyra still boxing, deciding to go the route and take the cards - but Uma's really coming on. Thurman stalking brazen, reaching out the left to find Tyra and bending into sweeping rights - not much contact, but Banks clearly shaken by what she's seeing. Late the round, Uma finally catches up - clanging right hand lariat-punch catches Tyra back-o'-the head as she's ducking down - Spasmodic legs as Banks stomps around hurt, saved by the bell as snarling Uma's bodied back.

R10: Uma won't be denied - she lopes across the ring, hounding a reluctant Tyra who's in full retreat. Banks circling to her right along the ropes, lips curled back in a fearful snarl, occasionally stopping to reach her jab into Uma's body to back her off. Thurman flicking out her jab, just measuring, missing a few early winging rights, but finally collecting with gobsmacking force upside Tyra's head. TYRA'S SHOOK! Banks drooping into ropes, eyes staring, hands stacked at her lap - Uma off Banks' left shoulder, uses her left to stabilize Tyra in the chest while POUNDING down right hands! Banks soaking up shellack, buckling, then lolling back into position - eyes staring, mouth open as right hands pile up and TYRA GOES DOWN! Banks bludgeoned to all fours, wide eyed with groggy astonishment and it's OVER! TB trembling, twitching, can't get off her haunches - KO10 Uma Thurman!

After: Big blonde upset - Uma Thurman outclassed much of the night, never lost faith - hungry pursuit, persistence pays off as Banks finishes up shabby. Beaming Uma helps herself - right arm around Tyra's quivering waist, left hand waving regally as Banks is paraded from corner to corner: Tyra snivelling, trying to wish it all away as the shame sinks in
