Before: Carmen a huge favourite, but Doherty on a roll since pounding out Teri Hatcher some weeks ago. Shannen has the pop to stop Carmen, but most pundits think she'll have a hard time landing the pay off punch. Electra can win this fight so many different ways, simply has to make sure she doesn;t lose it. Shannen in rust bikini, Carmen in electric blue.

During R1: Electra shows that unorthodox mobility early, staying well outside Shannen's range, then leaping in with sweeping uppercuts or straight shots., After landing, Electra always bends low and circles away,l using her legs to dictate the action. Shannen unable to throw a punch until the final seconds, when she scores with a few long jabs to no effect. Easy round for Electra.

R2: Shannen surprises Electra early, storming out of her corner and pressuring the champ to the ropes. Carmen tries to spin out, but Shannen clinches and stuffs her back, off balance. Shannen pushes in with her left shoulder, then suddenly backs off and turns into a swinging right that smashes hard against Carmen's jaw. AND ELECTRA IS HURT!! Carmen's legs do a deep knee bend as she desperately reaches for Shannen's waist. Doherty stays calm, pushing Carmen back onto the roppes, then leaning into another crashing right hand. Shannon finishes up with her right hand behind her left knees, circling the punch through Carmen';s face en route. Electra freezes, then crumbles to the canvas, rolling to her back in a daze. Shannen stuns Carmen Electra, and the boxing world, with a second round KO of the little dancer.

After: Doherty takes her first title ever, taking advantage of her best opportunity anmd never looking back. It;s another choke job for Electra, who has underachieved all year, and the loss is a crushing blow to her ego. For Shannen, the doubters are lining up as they have her entire career. and she seems sincere in her desire to be a fighting champ.
