4. Amanda Cerny vs. Luisana Lopilato (Bantamweight)

BEFORE:
Another big fight for the history books as Amanda Cerny looks to take down yet another Vixen after going 1-2 to both Hannah Ferguson and Georgia Mae Gibbs in recent fights. She faces another dangerous blonde on the roster, but someone now in her own weight class, with Luisana Lopilato looking to make a clean sweep of victories over this former challenger to the JMDD tiara.

“Amanda can hit hard, but so can I,” Luisana saying confidently during the press briefing. “I’m getting better day by day, so she’s a natural step up in terms of a challenge for me. I’m gonna put her away, then put Ashley Greene in her place come end-May,” Luisana concluding with a smile.

I don’t think we’ve ever seen the blonde this confident, to be honest, with some back-to-back victories over Olivia Wilde and Jessica Alba giving her the firm belief that 2019 might be the year for her. Amanda Cerny, however, vehemently disagrees, countering at the microphone:

“Listen, honey, those girls you faced? They’re creampuffs compared to who you’re fighting tonight. I could blow them out of the water with one hand tied behind my back, and I plan on doing the same thing to you tonight. You can run back home and tell Hannah and Georgia that I’m still gunning for a rematch with either of them… right after I put you down first.”

Stare down at the podium is tense, as you can imagine, with Luisana braving a smile even after those hurtful words from Cerny, whereas Amanda herself can’t be bothered with any of the niceties, simply glaring her opponent down nose-to-nose. Girls are led backstage for final prep, and don’t you worry - we’ll see them again soon enough!

Later, the arena’s all set for our Co-main event of the evening. Amanda’s dressed in a slick black satin bra and briefs, muscles brimming on every part of her body as she dons red gloves on her fists. Luisana in a white, similar outfit, her long, braided ponytail curled around her shoulder with her blue leather gloves. Referee gives his go ahead and HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Both girls need to be on the lookout for each other's power, and Luisana in particular for Amanda's superior reach. Cerny demonstrating some of the same reasons why she's so dangerous in the first, lunging at Lopilato's head with hook after hook, trying to slap leather into the Vixen’s face early to bang and daze. Luisana however is a better fighter than that, easily avoids most of the powerful swings headed her way, before tagging the Amanda repeatedly on the cheek with her long jab. She keeps up this system of abuse for the majority of the opening round, frustrating Cerny's corner to no end as they must have thought that Luisana would be a breeze to get through. Cerny letting loose in the final seconds, however, scoring a right off the guard, then a low thumping hook that lands on Luisana’s side, making the Vixen grimace. Kind of an even round, no, with both women's abilities on full display?

ROUND 2:
Luisana keeping to the script in the second, to great effect. She establishes distance and starts leading Cerny around the ring by the nose, quire literally sticking her long, extended jabs into the middle of her face each time the Holloway starlet makes a brazen attempt at glory. It's effectively negating Amanda's coveted power, something she needs to learn to wield in moderation if she wants to shock her foes with it constantly. Luisana taking the first half comfortably as a result, but then starts eating punches to the body as Amanda switches gears and hangs back, taking swigs at Luisana's unprotected undercarriage instead of going for the head all the time. And it starts to work! Luisana's weak spot exposed as she grunts loudly with each glove dug into her belly, forcing her to bring her arms downwards at the same time to block. Cerny fighting smart all of a sudden, but still has to wait till the next round in order to fully capitalise on her advantage, as the bell rings soon after.

ROUND 3:
As expected, Cerny with a more measured advance now on her foe, repeatedly shooting that punches down south, making Luisana grunt and gasp as the leather repeatedly lands on her midsection and side. Luisana's guard showing enough holes to fit a whale inside at this point, and Amanda waits for the right moment to blast another right cross clean through one such opening, slamming into the blonde's lips with force! OUCH!! Exactly what the VIX corner was hoping to avoid as Lopilato gets pushed backwards from the sudden power imbalance, screwing her eyes shut and fending off more blows like a mad woman swatting at flies. Cerny smelling a kill here in the third, like a mad woman herself comes barrelling forward, but still can't penetrate the blonde’s guard, which has reformed itself over her face. No matter - Cerny still contented to bat and swipe at vulnerable tummy down low, lefts and rights slamming into Luisana's midriff in close quarters, leaving her bubblering and doubled over on the ropes when the bell rings!

ROUND 4:
That's always been Luisana's weakness if you ask us: she's constantly represented that middle spot that hasn’t allowed her to shine in any one department. Straddling the Bantam and Lightweight division, she’s used to a combination of power and speed, but never really having dominated in one area. Case in point: Amanda smirking confidently as she makes a beeline for her at the bell, eager to use her own strength to her advantage in order to continue this fight. Luisana has to find some way to counter or negate this, and she switches to speed-demon mode for this encounter, reverting to snappy punches into Cerny’s face and body as her opponent does most of the work for her. Amanda surely needs to be more aware of when to swap her own tactics out for something that’s not working, less she solely relies on her own power to get to finish line. Lopilato slowly wearing the big girl down as a result, especially with those stiff shots into her body and chest, making her finally put the brakes on her own assault. Wide round swings back to Luisana, and she might just have found her secret sauce and kryptonite of her opponent!

ROUND 5:
We’ve said it before, but when Cerny enters tank mode, there’s little stopping her. She does just that in the fifth, and Luisana has trouble getting her to follow along her designated path to destruction, so no matter of running away is gonna work this time. The blonde’s still skirting left and right, mostly to avoid the tyre tracks, managing to land some glancing blows off the tummy and side of Cerny’s head, but they’re mostly dealt with by Amanda’s forearms as the Holloway girl cuts Lopilato’s retreat vector off and goes to town with her turrets. Luisana letting out a loud gasp as the big guns come sailing in, her back inches from the ropes, and who can really blame Amanda for trying to pin her down? Luisana escaping the first two hooks by a sliver, but the third one lands hard on the side of the ear, stunning her badly as she goes careening off to the side in a daze. Cerny smells blood here and comes wading inwards, targeting the blonde’s pristine body with more strapping lefts and rights sunk into the tummy, then trying to shove Luisana off her, who’s trying for a clinch, in order to inflict more punishment. Bell rings and the Vixen took it by a small margin still, though things not looking too good for her as we enter the second half of this fight.

ROUND 6:
Amanda’s found her own winning formula here, as she repeats the same path that got Luisana right where she wanted her. Talk about taking a page from your own book - Luisana should have realised that she’s being herded easily into an indefensible position, and getting trapped with the ropes behind you and your attacker in front is never a good thing. Blonde girl still moving as fast as her legs can carry her, but she’s also tiring out due to the constant dodging. Amanda rocks her down the middle with a well-placed cross to the middle of the arms, driving her into the ropes, then rushes after before she can recover from the rebound! Luisana groaning as her body’s beaten on in close quarters, both her arms wrapped around Amanda’s neck whilst the brunette hammers away down below. She’s pinned down on the ropes for the rest of the round, with Amanda mercilessly seeking that knockdown with choice uppercuts breaking down the guard, and it’s looking like only a matter of time before the big bad wolf blows down this door! STILL, it doesn’t happen just yet in the sixth, and though Amanda more or less took the entire round for herself by shutout, Luisana’s left standing at the bell, albeit desperately holding onto the top rope with both hands, the rest of her body shivering from the abuse as she keeps herself upright!

ROUND 7:
Here we go with the seventh, and honestly we’d assume that at least one girl would have gotten knocked the f*ck down by this point in time. But does it spell resilience on Luisana’s part or more so in her inability to put down someone like Amanda? And of course, ditto for Cerny. Still, the brunette’s still bouncing on her toes at the bell, eager to mop up what’s left of Luisana’s resolve, whose eyes can only go wide as her foe barrels down upon her once more. Nowhere left to run for the poor Vixen, and she ends up getting blasted up top, left and right by Amanda’s powerful hooks to the head, bashing her repeatedly on the head and throwing her about like a ragdoll. With each loud grunt, Cerny also exerting herself further, torquing that right hand with as much force as she can muster, looking for that final, knockout blow. Luisana barely jabbing back at this point, sticking some hands into the face but it just adds fuel to the fire by leaving her face exposed: Cerny’s hook PACKS in the cheek and rotates Luisana a complete 180 degrees on her feet - the blonde falls face-first DOWN into the canvas, where she remains there all the way past the count of 10! It’s bloody over!!

Official Decision: Amanda Cerny defeats Luisana Lopilato via KO7!

AFTER:
BIG win for Cerny as she gets back into the winning column of things, and though Luisana may not be considered the biggest catch of the day, it secures the Holloway girl’s right to remain at the top of the Bantamweight rankings, not to mention throwing another spanner into the Vixen’s ambitions of reaching the very top.

Amanda celebrating with a sly smile, resting her back against the ropes and taking in the sight of her achievement lying at the other end of the ring: Luisana getting turned over onto her back before the medics can check on her knocked out face. She’s still out cold, eyelids fluttering and mouth working open slightly, a little drool trickling down one corner of her lips.

Perhaps, like Georgia Gibbs, Luisana will have her revenge one day, at another time and place in the future. For now though, big bad Amanda Cerny raising one hand to the crowds as she acknowledges her dominance and climb to the very top.
