Before: Lintel’s a new face at lightweight, very impressive in dismantling the favored Nikki Cox last time out, faces a similar challenge in aggressive Playmate Brande Roderick, Key consideration for Michelle is the venue--outdoors, converted beach volleyball court--ring posts and ropes set up on the sand, could favour the more flat-footed Roderick. Brandy in yellow Baywatch one piece yellow “Baywatch” one piece, Michelle in teal bra-style bikini.

During R1: back to back shutouts for Michelle--nothing but workmanlike, fundamentally sound boxing doing the trick. Lintel jamming her jab to Roderick’s face hook across Roderick’s ample cleavage, and scooping right hand firm in blonde belly--Michelle stepping back and letting Brande walk into punishment. Lintel keeping her back off ropes by palming up after punching and simply walkin g her girl around--Brande turning, getting peppered for points through 2.

R3: Lintel getting extra zip on the jab early, has Roderick staring, hands drooping from jolting sticks to the face. Midway through, Lintel slidesteps back, picks Brande up coming in with the cuffing hook--slides back, picks her up again and Brande is hurt! Roderick breaking down as Michelle advances now, punching her jab against the blonde’s forehead, leaning in and down with whistling right crosses--Brande shabby as she is beaten across the sand and bullied to the ropes, Toe to toe slugging as Lintel bodies up, punishes Roderick with thudding hooks and crosses to body and head, but Brande won’t punk. Punching with the brunette, blonde finally turns things around with an explosive left, right, left, beating Michelle to the punches and dropping the brunette to her butt on the beach. Roderick hooting in derision--Lintel stiff and shaky getting up at the bell.

R4: Lintel still woozy--she’s not picking Brande up on the way in with the result that the blonde is setting up inside and outworking the brunette. Roderick a master at holding and hitting--tieing up either of Michelle’s arms to slump her forward and pump away underneath with the free mitt. Lintel drawn into the grueling trench warfare, slugging away with Brande at the ropes--brunette’s body and breasts take a fearful pummeling this round as playmate turns away all smiles.

R5: Michelle back yo basics--giving ground in good order, making Brande pay for real estate with jabs and cute little counter hooks. Roderick wading in, not moving her head repeatedly gets touched 3 and 4 times before she can get off herself. Lintel able to palm and turn her girl to keep off the ropes--no-frills flat-footed boxing in the sand.

R6: Lintel imposing her will, She keeps the left in Brande’s face after jabbing, screening the blonde, then pounding in with the right over Roderick’s low lefty. Brande starting to droop at the knees after catching--Lintel’s hurting her. End of the first minute--Lintel steps back and clips that short counter hook to catch Roderick rushing in--blonde stumbles to all fours as Michelle grins, struts to a neutral corner, Roderick up out of the sand with determination, brings the fight right to Lintel and crowd roars as the busty beauties beat it up midring. Bashing lefts and rights plunger into resentful bellies and aching ribs--both girls leaning in, teeth bared, chugging away with mindless abandon. Punching carries past the bell as the ref jumps in.

R7: Lintel all caught up in the brawling, gets back face on face with Brande and blonde starts to out punch brunette. Spanking series of rights to the stomach freeze Michelle--she stops punching as Brande starts to crank left and right to the face, driving Lintel into the ropes. All Brande Roderick as she bodies up, clutching at either arm of Lintel in order to savage the body and breasts on the inside--Michelle slumping forward, taking abuse, doesn’t seem to have any answers.

R8: Michelle back to the sharp punching, good decision making of the earlier rounds. Brande’s head on assaults just too expensive--she consistently eats the jab, walks into the cuffing hook on the jaw, and gets stopped in tracks by firm right hands across her mouth. Lintel getting off in clusters, palming, walking her girl around, then luring her forward for more. Nice.

R9: Roderick won’t be finessed. Back on Michelle’s chest, bodying the brunette to the ropes and punching, punching, punching as Lintel wilts. Michelle wide-eyed in shock as Brande works her over--blonde busy to the body, breasts and jaw--many of the punches poorly thrown or easily blocked,  but Roderick’s constant motion can’t be denied. Lintel on defensive survives, but can’t pull the trigger as Roderick rolls to points.

R10: Great two-way action to finish up a very competitive, hard fought bout. Lintel still able to step back, walk Brande into that little hook on the chin on the way in. Roderick still able to pay the price and get work done to Michelle’s sturdy midriff. Down the stretch, they just lay in together, wedging short punches into tanned tummies or tight around and between the guards--all hooks and uppercuts as Roderick slowly forces Michelle’s back to the ropes. Crowd pleasing slugging continues on after the bell as These beauties want more after 10 hard rounds, Comes back one point UD10--Michelle Lintel.

After: Lintel edges Roderick on sand--something many thought she wouldn’t be able to do. Michelle a strong brunette, sharp punching, heady and well-balanced, is rounding into form as a legitimate working girl’s contender. Roderick unconvinced by the close decision. Disagrees with the assessment. “She hasn’t got much,” says Brande. “Maybe a B, C+ jab, B hook, D right hand. I just ran out of time ton catch her.”
