Before: "I'm the big girl in this fight!" Witherspoon exults. "I can't remember the last time I could be described as 'big' and you know what? I like it! Of course, I'm also the 'old girl' in the fight, too! Not by much, but I'm finding that as the years go by, it's harder and harder to find older fighters I can talk into fighting me," laughs the Oscar winning actress. "Looking at her videos, I see she does a lot of the same things I do, which is a little disconcerting - especially when Stone and Cat start pointing out all her weaknesses and the openings I can exploit. I said, 'Do I have all those problems too?' and they both said - like they'd rehearsed it - 'Well, yeah!' That was eye-opening, I must say."
"Can you believe it?!" Harris gushes as she steps to the microphone. "I'm going to be in the same ring with an Oscar winner! I hate to say this, but I don't get many chances to say that fighting at fly. I've got a couple of pictures of me and her at one of those dinners at an award shows? You think she'd mind if I asked her to autograph 'em for me?"

Witherspoon gracious as always, steps up, inscribes them, "To Danielle, good luck always" and signs. Then she explains, "You can never be too nice to your fans. Besides, I want to like me; to really like me; especially once the bell rings!"

Reese: baby blue 'battle bikini' w/matching blue trainers, hair in saucy ponytail. Harris: satin-finish "lucky green" bra/panty combo, matching midcalf UGGS; dark hair loose with cute bangs. Dark red gloves for both.

During R1: Dani Harris bouncing like the Energizer Bunny out of her corner, bearing down on Witherspoon to LEAP in with a big right hand! Wide-eyed Reese jerks her head to the side, just barely slipping the punch. Reese wraps up Harris around the chest as she lands in her arms and wrestles her back to the ropes. Referee has his hands full of 'pocketsize dynamite' trying to separate the petite punchers! Phone booth scrap; both girls imposing their heaving bosom on the other as they plant feet, cheek-on-shoulder tod bang the body with (Dani:"gusto" and Reese: "enthusiasm." Close quarter action with neither shy about using an elbow, shoulder or forehead given half a chance. Lots of clutch-n-grab, grope-n-slug; they even use a wrestling move now and then...a little something for everyone with lots of bump-n-tussle between punches. Bell: It's Dani Harris eking out a close, one point, margin in an entertaining, spirited, if hardly classic boxing round that got the crowd on their feet to applaude both fighter's effort.

R2: Second verse; same as the first. Other than the 'jump in right hand lead' pretty much the same! If you didn't know how much these two liked and admired one another, you'd think they hated each other. Oh, wait, they don't really like each other - but there's plenty of hard-won admiration after three more minutes of breast-on-breast, belly-on-belly, and thigh-rubbing, squirming, slugging, punching and pawing. Feisty flyweight action gives the fans their money's worth as both faces lump up; belly's rubbed red and raw. This time when the bell rings, the ref has to pry them apart and it's Reese round; having gotten an extra touch or two to even the score.

R3: More bruising shoulder-to-shoulder fare. Right out of the chute Harris hammers Witherspoon, driving her back to the ropes where she bludgeons away at her smooth, pale, body. Reese takes it like a trouper, then grabs Dani, spins and plants her butt in the ropes; returning the favor - in spades! Harris teary-eyed, breathing heavy, fights her way off the ropes. Trading non-stop midring with first one, then the other getting 'sack socked' in the pocket. No part of either nubile young body goes untouched and the ref warns each to 'keep em up' a couple of times. Again, in a clinch, they reel onto the ropes, where Dani, then Reese, then Dani again take a turn on top. Both women roughed up again, but this time Dani gets the nod from the scorekeepers - by a smidgen!

R4: Same again, only this time Reese gets her shoulder into Harris' chest first, little muscular thighs pumping as she drive blocks her back in to her corner. Reese sets up shop like the sidewalk vendor outside the arena, head between Dani's plump juggs, fists pumping away at that tawny tummy. It's not pretty, but it's effective close in work. Dani takes about all she can stand, then grapples up top to reverse, a little knee inside out of the ref's vision helping to lift Reese's plump little butt up onto the turnbuckle, then she pump, pump, pumps away at Witherspoon's sweet, sweaty, torso. Reese fighting her way out of the corner, girls pinwheeling along the ropes to the next corner where they repeat - this time Reese helps herself to a kneelift that settles Harris' haunch onto the strands. More grappling reversals along ropes to the bell leave both women breathless as the referee again has to separate them. This round is Reese's by a blonde hairs breadth.

R5: Midway it's all even on the scorecards, and both beauties want the round for a halftime lead. Not surisingly, neither changes what's been working, so it's more of the same close-in, rough-tough, sweatshop stuff with neither taking a voluntary step backward - although each is forced back several times. Witherspoon highlight: a sweet up/down combination, digs a hard left low in behind Harris' right elbow, immediately comes over the top with the right that staggers Dani. Harris' highlight: pressing Reese on the ropes, head on shoulder; she lights up Reese's jugs with three shoeshining criss-cross, flurries, then up the middle with an uppercut that rocks Reese's world. Hard, hard, exchanges both ways, but Dani digs it out to regain a one point edge at the mid-point. Foxfire girls obviously pumped at rindside as their brunette five footer puts a heel on the throat of The Academy's blonde five footer. Harris' protégé Panettiere bouncing up and down, clapping enthusiastically; Garner pointing across at Theron, dukes up, clearly asking 'wanna fight?' Theron flips her off with a smirkingly smug superior grin.

R6: Harris picks up where she left off, bull rushing Reese, shoulder into her chest, wrapping her up and (almost) carrying her back into her corner. Knee between Reese's thighs traps her as Dani pounds away with both fists; up one side and down the other, really lathering Witherspoon who struggles trying in vain to shove Harris off and get room to punch. Reese forced to wrestle her way out, taking plenty of abuse for the first two minutes; getting punished ropeside as the Foxfirecrackers are on their feet enthusiastically encouraging Dani to ravage Reese further. Final minute, however, Witherspoon finally gets the leverage she needs, pushes Dani's hips back and creates room for some counter-punching. Witherspoon not just another pretty face, she's also cute - cute off the ropes, that is as she catches Harris with a double hook and SITS HER DOWN! Dani sitting stunned, legs in a V as Reese steps over her and hurries to a neutral corner. Harris up at six, takes the mandatory eight with a glum expression. Reese cleans up for the final thirty seconds, buffeting Harris around the ring without much response. The knockdown a auge turning point in a close contest as Reese steals what had been a clear 10-8 Harris round and hurts her brunette badly in the process.

R7: Harris still not totally back and Reese takes the badly rattled Harris to the ropes, and works her over. Witherspoon's left hook working like a piston; digging in again and again to the ribs and waist; tucking it in cleanly behind Harris' right elbow. Reese showing some of that new 'Academy Style'; getting on top of her brunette, elbows wide, then chug-chug-chugging up the middle, putting a hurtin' on Dani's proud brunette juggs as Reese shoeshines her like a kid on a depression street corner in an old Warner Bros movie on TCM. Reese has her way with Dani from bell to bell and when they're broken, Harris goes mincing back to her corner with a pained expression, wincing with every breath that heaves her hurting bosom.

R8: Dani fighting harder, shaking off her stupor but Reese has the momentum and she's not giving it up without a fight. Reese on Dani from the git-go, imposing herself with her ripping body punching. Blonde outworking the brunette this round, and while Dani answers back in spots, Reese is landing more, and harder, blows. On the ropes: Reese getting top position, outworking Dani. Reese working combinations and Harris lumping up. Witherspoon making Dani feel it in her ribcage, Reese digging in Harris' tummy, taking her breath away...then always going back to fit something into that offending brunette bosom before she circles away, stops, sets and starts the whole circuit again.

R9: Reese atop Dani again... smothering her on ropes, working over her midsection, digging into those aching, reddening ribs, never leaving before paying some loving attention to Harris' heaving breasts. Hard-working, body-savaging, pride-sucking, energy-depleating, stuff as Reese Witherspoon is slowly beating Dani Harris' body into submission. Harris hopes fading fast as Witherspoon does a good job of maintaining control of the shorter brunette, scuffing up her face and savaging her body going into the final round.

R10: Reese out quickly again, piling onto Dani, driving her backward to the ropes. There, she pins her with her butt in the strands and simply outworks the overmatched younger brunette; Reese bodying up to Dani, stacking her up; forcing Dani to take her weight as she hooks, hooks, hooks and digs rights under Dani's left elbow. It's just a good old fashioned, veteran, beatdown for the Oscar winning blonde - again. Comes back as expected, UD10 Witherspoon!

After: Reese all breezy confidence in the wake of her stunning late innings 'run to the roses'. Fight about as close as close can be midway, then Witherspoon put her foot on the gas and just ran away from Harris, leaving her in the dust. Quite a statement by a woman described (by some) as 'the hardest-working, country-music-singing, Oscar-winner, blonde flyweight on the entire Academy roster.' And it's impossible to argue with that!

Witherspoon crediting her trainers, "Sharon, Cat and, of course, Charlize; for their support and the hard work they've put in with me. I wish I'd had the benefit being in a stable years ago. I never knew how important it was. I also want to 'thank' the girls at RiRy for helping build my confidence by giving me some much needed work - and confidence building wins!"

Harris, for her part, continues to experience frustration. She's had so many fights slip away in the late rounds (14 of 17 lost in rounds 6-10!) But it's hard to see how you can expect too much more from such a slightly built woman; she's barely 5' tall! Harris has a big heart but no big punch to go with it! She is forced to win by out grinding her opponents, but at her size that's unlikely to happen often. Still, Harris continues to earn respect from opponents like Witherspoon, who said later, "I'm glad that little girl's not 3-4 inches taller; she'd be truly dangerous. I really admire her spunk."

Garner seen moping around the locker room later, distraught; throwing things and muttering about, 'Theron', 'team pride' and 'a long fall' - all very Shakespearian, of course - but Jen's never made any secret of how in love with Charlize's body she is....well, you know (really) Jen's simply head over heels in love with punching.
