(UNIFED WELTERWEIGHT TITLE)

Peta Wilson ringside to get a good long look at Charlize in action. Heigl a huge underdog despite a win over Theron in the past and a reputation as a wrecking ball puncher. Most see Katherine as a durable tune up for the Theron-Wilson showdown. Katherine comfortable with the snubbing both from the champ and the media.

"I'm totally fine with Theron looking past me to Peta - in fact, I prefer it. Charlize can't take me lightly and expect to survive this fight. Before she knows it, everyone'll be talking about a Katherine Heigl/Peta Wilson superfight! Charlize? She'll be sucking soup through a straw!"

Heigl in tight black crop tee, black bikini bottom; Charlize in cream string bikini.

Round 1: Theron making a statement - setting down on punches in the first, looking to hurt Heigl and get the big blonde's respect. Midway through, Theron bangs away with a batting hook to get Katherine backing up, then tags the blonde a right cross/left hook to get Heigl staggering backward. Charlize hopping forward, punching as she bounces, lifting her hands from her thighs and slicing across Katherine's woozy face. Heigl stunned, taking punches as Theron works her over at the ropes - lashing licks underneath to cuff the belly, double and triple whip-hooks on the jaw up top. Charlize wowing the crowd with a blizzard of left hooks on the ear to spill Kathy into the corner in stupor at the bell.

Rounds 2-3: Easy, breezy shutouts Charlize Theron. Heigl gun-shy after getting pelted in the first, not pressing Theron at all. Blonde circling left, hands low - punching off her front foot, chopping in lead rights, batting away with wide, rising hooks - leaning back from every Heigl offering as Katherine falls short with receipts.

Round 4: Heigl having no success head hunting, starts shooting a straight right hand to Theron's heart, drawing winces as Charlize dances away. Theron still in command, gliding in and out - her legs have given her total air superiority in this fight - girls fight where and when Charlize says. Nice slashing combos from Charlize - mostly arm punching, but she's clearly dictating the action through 4.

Rounds 5-6: Charlize having her way. Theron using constant lateral movement, bouncing loose, using the ring, anticipating well and either leaning back from Heigl right hands or skipping out of range. Charlize polishing Katherine's face with whippy hooks on the chin and drilling straight right hands between the eyes. Heigl rocked on occasion and driven onto her heels, but she's taking a good shot for the most part. Kathy very sporadic on offense, but stubbornly pounding her right hand through to Charlize' chest. It's not much but Heigl is persistent, forcing Theron to regroup and double back more often these rounds.

Round 7: Heigl does a better job of cutting off the ring, forcing Charlize to trade and Katherine starts to land beefy right hands to the champs ribs and breasts. Charlize swatting and cuffing 3:1, but she's being driven backward, getting the worst of the exchanges. Down the stretch, several thumping right hands under Theron's left breast get the champ reaching to clinch - but Heigl shoulders Charlize off and nails her with a clocking right on the chin. THERON GOES DOWN! Charlize puddling on her haunches, draped senseless in the ropes and SHE'S HURT! Bell sounds to save a dazzled champion - Theron's head lolling in her corner, trainer giving her the smelling salts - not fully recovered for the 8th.

Round 8: Heigl pounds out back to back rounds - Theron damaged last round, suffers this round as she can't get her back off the ropes. Charlize in survival mode, leaning into the ropes, then leaning forward - rope-a-doping and clinching Heigl head and arm at every opportunity. Every time Theron grabs her head with that left hand, Katherine's driving that blistering right hand to her left breast - those HEART PUNCHES ARE STARTING TO HAVE A CUMULATIVE EFFECT ON THERON'S LEGS - setting up Heigl's bashing hook. Charlize gets out of the round punished, but starting to catch her bearings - Heigl slightly winded from the effort of beating down Theron's supple defenses. (Beautiful still shot this round: Heigl twisted into her hook, left hand following through tight and low, eyes intent on the target - Charlize up against the ropes, head and torso belted to her left, lips in a hurting 'O' as she soaks up a clean blast).

Round 9: Charlize leggy for the first minute, but a banging hook on the chin has her stumble-bumming and a grazing right across her brow puts her wobbly butt. Heigl bodies up, walks her girl to the ropes and gets hungrily to work. Nice beefy beat down - Heigl brawny with her left shoulder and elbow nudging and propping, setting up thudding hooks and cruel right hands to the chest. Heigl taking her time, methodical as she works one side of Charlize, then the other. But she ALWAYS COMES BACK TO THE JUGS - keeping Theron wincing and clinching in pain! At the bell, Heigl leaves Charlize achy and sagging on the ropes - pouring it on since the knockdown.

Round 10: Shutout Charlize Theron. Champ gets her legs back and never stops moving, despite boos from a bloodthirsty mob that wants Theron to fight as stupidly as possible. Charlize not in a crowd pleasing mood - pesters Heigl with slapping jabs and poking lead rights, nimbly escaping any and all danger as Kathy loads up but can't pull the trigger. Heigl frustrated and disappointed at the bell as she chases but can't bring Theron to justice - crowd booing at the bell as Charlize lifts her mitts and struts. Comes back UD10 Charlize Theron by wide margin.

Theron cruising past another challenger. Heigl clearly outclassed, but looking better than almost any other recent Charlize challenger in taking the blonde the distance and roughing her up late.

Theron shakes off the criticism, "People don't always know what they're looking at," bristles the champ. "I was murdering Heigl tonight - really busting her up, but she wasn't going so I had to let her spend up some energy. Katherine Heigl didn't take me to the ropes - I WENT there to use her up and it worked."

Katherine making waves with irreverent comments in the aftermath, "She hits like a lightweight - a small, undernourished lightweight. She was busting me as hard as she could in the first and I'm like, 'That's it? That's all you've got?' I give her credit for getting up after I bounced her - a lot of welterweights couldn't have done that and she WAS tricky to hit clean on the ropes. Still, I think if she's not Charlize Theron, she doesn't get that decision tonight."

Peta Wilson happy, smiling, chatty with her friends - the big payday is on and she's sounding confident. "Theron looks to be flattening out," Aussie says. "I'm finally getting my shot at the big time. I like my chances, I'd heard about Theron but seeing her in person like that really lets you see where she can be hurt. I won't guarantee a win, but be sure you're in your seat when the fight starts so you don't miss anything!" Brave words from someone who's facing the hottest FCBA welterweight in many years!
