5. Hannah Ferguson vs Ana Ivanovic (Welterweight)

Hannah:

Ana:
(32, 6’0, 4:8 FCBA, Free Agent)

BEFORE:
“Why, it’s really Hannah Ferguson in the flesh…” Ana grinning by ringside as reporters ask her for her final thoughts before the match begins. “I’m just happy to be back in the ring. Even though I’m the one with the long odds to win tonight, I’m definitely gonna make Hannah work hard for a victory tonight. She’d better watch out for my swing-power, perfected over time on the courts,” Ana finishes by giving the crowds a bicep flex for emphasis.

On the other side, Hannah scoffing, rolling her eyes with a smile. “She’s absolutely nothing compared to me. I have a game plan set in stone, regardless of what some people are saying that this match is gonna be a fluke win. I take all my fights seriously, and I’m done my homework on Ivanovic. She can try swinging at me all she wants, ultimately it’s going to be her face kissing the canvas.”

Blonde vs brunette showdown as the two women square off at center court, Ana with a two-inch height advantage and also packing some leftover Wimbledon-muscle - definitely gonna try using some of that to make up for the shortfall. Ana is dressed in white bikini top, black boxing trunks, whilst Hannah looking confident in a gold bikini and red gloves, that model body also oiled up and ready to spring into action. Without further ado, HERE we go with ten rounds of Welterweight mayhem!

ROUND 1:
Hannah showing off her experience early, hounding Ana from a comfortable distance even as the big Serbian tries to close distance and brawl. Ferguson smarter than that, knows all about Ana’s famed power and ability to knock plenty of girls out, and so decides to keep her distance, using that effective and efficient jab to land more than once on Ana’s face. Ivanovic getting frustrated early, starts playing the blonde’s game as well - she extends her right hand fully, using her shoulder length to sock Hannah in the mouth a few times for her insolence. Wide round to the former champion, Hannah Ferguson, but she still should be careful in going forward whilst unveiling all her cards early.

ROUND 2:
Ana is onto Hannah’s game plan, as predicted, stays back and away from her, and the end result is both ladies only firing off the occasional jab into each other’s face. Hannah getting shut out by not adapting quickly enough, realises she’s on the losing end of this contest when she eats another stiff right flurry of jabs to the lips. Ferguson realises there’s no way she can hope to match the former tennis starlet’s exceptional arm reach, forcing her to become more independent and adaptive on the fly. Third minute and Hannah still getting pushed backwards with invasive lunges from Ana coming in danger close, hitting the arms and tummy as Hannah tries to find an assault vector. Can Ana have discovered the secret sauce needed to put away a former champion? Big Serbian certainly thinks so, beaming as she stuffs another left-right into the blonde’s face just as the bell rings, giving her the round comfortably.

ROUND 3:
Hannah letting out a yelp as she gets careless again in the first minute, jabbing at Ana’s face but then getting rocked when Ana lets loose a power hook out of the blue that catches her flash on the chin, sending her stumbling back with a roar from the crowd. The way Hannah tells it later on, it’s like getting hit by a bulldozer as she recalls just how powerful Ana Ivanovic really is. Second minute and Ana comes charging forward again, kinda expectedly, BLASTS Hannah across the arms with a devil hook, sending her scrambling for cover, but not without eating a couple of jabs to the face. Ana not giving up the chase, however, rocking Ferguson to the body with more lefts and rights, then another right hook to the face SENDS Hannah Ferguson, queen of the ring, careening into the ropes, and DOWN she goes onto her knees, sheer, absolute power from Ana Ivanovic more than enough to put the former champion down to all fours!

KNOCKDOWN for Ana Ivanovic in spectacular, early fashion! Hannah breathing hard, head down as she steadies herself one foot at a time. Mighty embarrassing for the Vixen as she still doesn’t have an answer to Ana’s power in there. Ivanovic already looking cocky, smirk on her face as she heads back to corner, draping both arms over the ropes. Hannah however recovers by the count of 7, and the round ends with her opponent surging far ahead in terms of points.

ROUND 4:
Hannah still a tad embarrassed as she starts the fourth round, knows that that last round could have been much, much worse, and begins by hiding her head beneath her raised arms, allowing Ana to fire and bury at her insides as the big girl stuffs some stiff shots in on the tummy, but the blonde taking the opportunity to smack the face left and right, return shots maybe the only thing that prevents another knockdown attempt from occurring. Ana clearly rocked and stunned, didn’t expect the Vixen to actually fight back, it seems. Left hook into the face and Hannah finally establishes her own foothold here. Two ladies stay at a distance for the remainder of the fight, firing away occasional jabs to the face as they circle each other on the periphery.

ROUND 5:
Hannah has had enough of Ana’s speed AND power, decides to employ a little agility of her own to circumvent her opponent’s slow and lumbering strokes. Blonde ducks under a wild swing at her head, instead pounds on Ana’s chest and body, swerving her upper torso backwards to avoid another swish, and ROCKS the perpetrator right back with a hook out of nowhere to the face! Ana’s newbie status suddenly on full display as she relies on her power and nothing else. Hannah focused, evading, sending third such hook crashing into the cheek, and it looks like Ana has had enough, attempts to clinch up with the smaller girl by barreling straight forward and wrapping arms around her waistline. Hannah grunting as she’s controlled by the bigger woman, her sides getting spanked by leather, but then, Ana attempts to shove the blonde off and subsequently shock her with a powerful right, but Ferguson’s still the wiser, easily evades with a swerve, before circling back out of the way until the bell rings.

ROUND 6:
Ana losing some of that tennis agility after having retired from the sport for such a long period ago, keeps lunging at the smaller woman’s head but finding it hard to pin her down. Ferguson still fresh by contrast, even after six rounds, employs her jabbing skills to snag her face over and over again, combined with her fast footwork dancing around Ivanovic’s lumbering steps, and Ana’s head knocked back for the third time, Hannah going to work with methodical slams into the body as she picks off the bigger girl at a distance, driving her back, another hook to the tummy, alternating with another wild swing into the forearms, breaking apart her defences bit by bit. Ana shell shocked as she gets absolutely bullied in there, groaning as her back hits the ropes, her arms broken apart by another torque from the former champion, before she’s FLOORED by a hook to the face, twisting around on her feet before CRASHING down to her side with a glorified THUDD!! Referee takes one look at the tennis alumnistruggling to even push herself off her chest, decides to WAVE this fight off!

Official Decision: Hannah Ferguson defeats Ana Ivanovich via KO6!

AFTER:
And Hannah Ferguson does it again, putting away a dangerous Welter within six rounds! She may have taken her own sweet time in there, finding her bearings as compared to some of the earlier fights, but a win is a win, and the alpha Vixen seen smiling to herself in relief and genuine satisfaction, raising both her hands and then waving graciously to the crowds.

Ana slumped back on the ropes, catching her breath as the ring officials and her corner men trying and get her to stand back up, only to collapse back down from the dizziness in her head. As in the tennis world from before, where she used to dominate matches with her famed power shot, Ivanovic needs to consider her options more carefully going into the next fight.
