Georgina Poh vs Natalie Yeo

Next up is a match between two powerhouses! Georgina called Natalie out and she answered!

Georgina Poh (28, 5'7, 1-0, Free agent)

Natalie Yeo (28, 5'7, 2-0, Free agent)

Georgina: “I am glad that she accepted my challenge. She’s undefeated but I’m determined to stop that!”

Natalie: “I think she thinks too much of herself with only one win under her belt. I will make her eat some humble pie tonight!”

Natalie fights out of the red corner in a deep blue sports bra, matching bottoms and yellow gloves. Her hair tied in a bun.

Georgina fights out of the blue corner in a green sports bra, grey bottoms and black gloves. Her hair tied in a double bun.

Round 1:
The two powerhouses meet in the center, sizing each other up with a few taps and jabs, in order to devise an attack plan. As the round progresses, the exchanges gain speed and Gerogina manages to slip an uppercut into Nat’s midsection, priming her for a few follow up swipes across the face. Thankfully, the round ends before further damage is done, with Georgina in the lead.

Round 2:
Georgina rides on the momentum and charges at Natalie with determination. Leather gloves smacking loudly on Natalie’s arms as she fends off her opponent’s attack. Through the rain of attacks, Natalie manages to land a nasty right hook across Georgina’s jaw stunning her opponent. The unyielding Georgina continues to trade blows with Natalie in the center of the ring, but it becomes apparent that the earlier right hook has thrown Georgina into a state of confusion as she seems to be missing her shots. Nat takes advantage of this and wears down Georgina with couples of stiff blows to Georgina’s mid-section, priming her for an uppercut that easily breaks through her guard. Georgina’s arms windmill in the air as she backpedals into the ropes. Natalie continues to punish her evenly-sized opponent on the ropes with multiple swipes across her face but Georgina quickly resets her guard to prevent a knockout blow through the last ten seconds. The round ends in Natalie’s favor. What a beautiful comeback!

Round 3:
Capitalizing on the success from the previous round, Natalie charges in with confidence, buffeting Georgina with quick successions of blows. Georgina keeps her feet firm as she guards herself, upon a right cross from Natalie, Georgina leans out of the way and snaps back with a right straight to Natalie’s jaw! Natalie backpedals, but shrugs it off, hitting Georgina back with even harder blows! The fight soon descends into a slug fest, both shrieking in pain as the leather lands. Georgina relents first, trapping Natalie in a clinch for the rest of the round. The round ends in Natalie’s favour.

Round 4:
Georgina steps out of the gate with a quick one-two jab to surprise Natalie, pushing her into the corner where Georgina continues to maul her. Lucky for Natalie, she manages to slip out of the corner and lash back with a jab-hook-cross combination. Despite being hurt, Georgina continues to mount pressure on Natalie, drilling punches into Natalie’s mid-section as Natalie prioritizes guarding her face. Natalie tries launching a counterattack, but fails, leaving her wide open for a right straight that snaps her head backwards before the round concludes. Both girls look spent and hurt as they make their ways to the corners.

Round 5:
Georgina dashes out of her corner to keep on top of Natalie but Natalie quickly stops her with a counterpunch. Natalie quickly follows up with a body hook and gives two swipes across Georgina’s face, misting sweat into the air. But Georgina will not go down easy. She quickly resets her guard and seeks for an opening to hit back with an uppercut into Natalie’s belly, drawing a painful groan from her. Natalie lunges again with a jab-hook combination but Georgina weaves through the attack and sends Natalie back into the ropes with a straight. Natalie composes herself on the ropes and draws Georgina in for an uppercut to the jaw, disorientating her. The round ends with Natalie having a slight edge over Georgina. With both girls at a deficit, the match can go either way at this moment.

Round 6:
Both girls dig deep as they charge at each other, trading blow-for-blow, with neither having clear advantage over the other. In the flurry of exchanges, Georgina slips a right hook above Natalie’s arm that sends her spinning into the ropes. Georgina chases the disorientated Natalie and pops another right hook BAM! Georgina scores the first knockdown in minute one! Natalie shakes the stars out of her head and struggles to her feet by the count of 7. Clearly shaken by the hook, Georgina makes easy work out of Natalie, tearing down her weakened guard before slamming hard lefts and rights as Natalie hangs on the ropes! The ref has seen enough! He quickly jumps in between the fighters and waves for the match to end, protecting Natalie from further punishment! Winner by TKO! Georgina Poh!

Post-fight:
“YES!” Georgina screams as the announcer declares her the winner while Natalie’s being helped back into her own corner in a stupor. “This is as hard as I’d imagine it would be, but I’m happy to be the one to put a dent on her record! I will take over from here, Natalie!”
