Results: Lookout! Story: Caspian & The Dollhouse

BEFORE:
Emma Roberts brandishes a smile as she walks into the press room. A series of high profile losses this year ain’t gonna stop this Doll as she takes her seat at the table for yet another fight of her life. Across from her, Ariel Winter looks confident as well as she’s escorted to her seat by her management. Both girls barely acknowledge each other with brief nods, before a reporter kicks things off by asking Roberts how she feels about the fight tonight.

"Front Street is one of the top FCBA stables and I have a lot of respect for everyone involved. But...they love bloating their girls records with wins against girls that can't fight. I know Ariel is good, but she's definitely not 27-7 good. She needs to stop wasting her time on all these talentless wimps. Have some self respect. I'm clearly a better, more talented boxer than her, not to mention - actress, but she is MUCH heavier than me and so that obviously improves her odds. She's practically a Bantam fighting at Flyweight, which I’m no stranger to, and I'm going to wreck her anyway. She’s not as fast as me nor as savvy. I'll admit, It's probably not going to be pretty, but by the time I'm done with her it's going to be as clear as day she's a mediocre FRAUD."

Heat turned up in the room almost immediately, but what can you expect going up against a the Dollhouse’s Ice Queen? Ariel looks slightly uncomfortable at being trash talked so explicitly, but maintains her cool as she responds:

“I’m glad to see all that ‘respect’ Emma has for us Front Street girls. The truth of the matter is we deserve every bit of it. You just have to look at MY record versus Roberts’. I’m just gonna tell myself that I’ve beaten girls like Portman, Johansson and Panettiere before. A weakling like Roberts simply isn’t a serious threat for me.” The big brunette ends with a smirk aimed at Roberts, finally spitting some venom back at the blonde.

Ladies square up at the podium and truly it’s a difference in style and composition: Emma’s slightly taller but Ariel’s bulk means she’s got a big power advantage that’s gonna be hard to beat. Girls turn immediately back to their respective doors as the press conference rounds off without much hoo-ha.

Fight night and Winter strides onto stage first, looking sensational in a dark violet bikini top and boxing trunks. Her ebony hair in a tight ponytail as she holds up a red gloved-fist high to the crowds and walks down the aisle to the ring. The Dollhouse Flyweight Ice Queen herself Emma Roberts comes out next to some loud and extravagant pink and white pyro as per usual, ready to rumble in her white-and-pink sports bra and long tights combo, blonde shoulder length hair in a bun. The Doll’s had some setbacks so far this year but looks set to bounce towards a good tail-end of 2020 if all goes according to plan for the Dollhouse team.

Referee calls both fighters to center-ring for the final showdown, but neither girl is really paying attention to his instructions. They touch gloves with a loud BANG, then head back to corners, eager to connect leather with other parts of their opponent’s body. Wave of a hand and HERE we go with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Emma kicks things off with a dance around Ariel, occasional jabs sent towards the head as soon as Ariel gets in range. She’s wary of her opponent’s power and bulk, as she should be, and wisely keeps her distance for fear of one of those disastrous hooks landing on the side of her face. Winter for the most part is also patient, taking shots to her face and body on occasion but really never troubled by early, testing Roberts. She’s losing this round by a landslide but seems okay with this trial period as she feels her opponent out, once in a while taking a wild swing at Roberts to gauge her reflexes. Roberts predictably leaps clear out of the way while she’s still early and fresh in the fight, takes comfort in taking the first round by a wide margin by the end of three minutes. Both ladies are playing the long game tonight, and it shows.

ROUND 2:
But here comes Winter and her tepid blows, demonstrating her immense power - she catches Roberts on the side of the guard with an early hook, which sends the Doll’s arms, head and the whole of her upper torso reeling to the side from the brief impact. It didn’t land as clean as she’d like, but who needs to do so if you can force your opponent to feel your power regardless? Emma grunts and covers up, makes a dash for the hills - she’d come inwards at the bell with slightly more confidence, tagging Ariel on the chin with a quick one-two jab combo before she discovered the younger woman’s equal speed and agility, and more importantly, her youthful energy. Roberts sent back to triage mode, scoots away with purpose and controls Ariel from afar with more jabs. But Winter has a keen smirk on her face as she advances slowly but surely, knows all she needs to do is tighten the noose around Roberts’ neck a little bit at a time as the rounds progress. Close round swings back to Winter.

ROUND 3:
Roberts uses counter-attacks and speed this round as she tries her hand at hit-and-run tactics, timing her attacks in between Ariel’s streaking combos sent towards her head. Winter shows a little more aggression as she comes forward, blows Emma back with a straight cross to the arms at the end of the first minute no problem. Emma can’t dodge them all, after all. Middle minute and Roberts realises she just can’t compete with her opponent, who’s packing both speed AND power as she matches the Doll’s attacks blow-for-blow. Another ringin’ shot to the middle of the arms almost snaps Emma’s head back as her chin feels the brunt of it rattling through the guard. The Doll gets pushed back another couple of steps as she struggles to compete toe-for-toe, but thankfully the bell saves her just before she gets cornered and hammered into the ropes.

ROUND 4:
Emma’s playing a dangerous game by lining up these dangerous foes one after another. First, it was Holt at the start of the year. Then Fox, Collins and Portman. She looks to end the year off with a bangin’ win over Winter, and who can blame her ambition? Her drive makes her pour these early punches into Winter this round, keeping her head down and grinding her teeth as she plows leather into Winter’s arms and body, head-hunting with repeated straight hands, trying to match her opponent’s power to show she too means business. Winter lets out a couple of surprised grunts, point taken as her defences show some weaknesses and lets in a couple of straight hands to her chin. But Roberts ain’t immune either, shrieks out loud as a glancin’ hook lands clean to her face in the final seconds of the round - price to pay indeed for thinking she can stand to brawl with Winter.

ROUND 5:
Back to her long range attacks as Emma mixes her strategy up to great effect. Ariel still expecting a brawl on her hands as the bell rings to start the fifth, but Emma’s nowhere to be seen for the first minute or so, pestering the Front Street girl’s face from a distance as she withers away her resolve jab by jab. The Dollhouse strategy is working here, as Winter looks as though she’s run out of steam early. Either that, or she’s just playing possum, taking repeated shots to her face and body whilst drawing Emma inwards. Roberts focusing on the face in the final seconds, not throwing any powerful moves but thinking of putting Winter away with quantity over quality: one-two-three combos punt the younger girl’s head back, chin shoved in, then another similar series drilled into the tummy to end the round. Winter’s still standing by the bell, but breathing heavily as she heads back to her corner looking battered.

ROUND 6:
More of the same as Winter takes an early stand, keeps her head hidden behind tight arms, trying to draw Roberts into the pocket. Emma takes the bait, kicks her energy up a couple of notches as she drives another cross-hand straight into Ariel’s nose, drawing an early gurgle and pushing her back towards the ropes. Ariel packing heat still, however, bounces off the ropes in a flash, then PLOWS her own right-hand straight into Emma’s chin!! OUCH!! The Doll didn’t see that coming!! Emma’s corner lets out a bewildered shout as Emma almost gets taken off her feet there and then, the entirety of her body flying backwards across the ring! Winters lets out a ROAR of approval as she storms forward, looking to mop up… But Emma keeps her cool, her vision swimmin’ right now but she steadies herself on her feet and then runs for the hills. Last few seconds are a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse, with Emma keeping her back away from the ropes and corner-traps whereas Ariel doing everything in her power to give chase, more arms hooked in and uppercuts swung in every direction possible, but the bell rings and she FAILS to put the Doll onto her back! Not the best round for Roberts but hell - she’s still standing after that wild dance!

ROUND 7:
Looks like we’re heading the full ten yards as Ariel struggles to keep up the same energy as before. She storms in early but quickly gets met by a flurry of blows to the head, Emma using the downtime to recuperate and steady herself enough for a counterattack. Roberts shoves her hands into the increasingly bewildered brunette’s face, knocking Ariel’s head back with crude but effective and snappy straight shots right to the nose. Fifth time’s the charm, sending Winter wobbling backwards all of a sudden as the Front Street starlet looks unbalanced here, clearly in trouble, takes another straight to the chin and DOWN SHE GOES!! Winter flat-lined as Emma puts her best effort in for a comeback! Referee hovers over the dazed big brunette but Ariel’s barely conscious on her back, shaking that pretty head left and right, her brain telling her not to quit but the rest of her body not playing ball. Big girl down! That’s it! Ref hits the 10-count and waves it OVER!

Official Decision: Emma Roberts defeats Ariel Winter via KO7!

AFTER:
Cocky pose from Roberts who stumbles to the middle of the ring with her arms flexed and a wide smile on her face. She knows she’s scored big tonight and ain’t afraid to soak it in, the crowds validating her victory as she glances in four directions whilst daring her next hapless victim to bring it on.

Ariel’s being helped by her team, slowly sitting up in her own corner, breathing hard and trying to make sense of what just happened. Her eyes narrow as she sees Roberts striding over to her, both hands on her hips as the two former foes stare each other down, while the rest of the stadium holds their breaths at what’s to come.

"So all that extra weight wasn’t enough huh?” Roberts teases the defeated brunette. “Look, don’t feel so bad…you're pretty decent at this. And you’re in the great hands of the Wiz. It’s just too bad you'll never be as good as ME!, Winter." Emma chuckles before swiftly turning around and heading back to her corner, where she continues to pose and blow kisses to the crowd.

A narrow shave right there for Ariel as we all what usually happens to Roberts’ ‘conquests’ with her notorious post-fight antics. Ariel, albeit relieved, can only watch from the opposite corner of the ring, face riddled with contempt and frustration.

Roberts not staying for long in the ring, the Ice Queen has more important places to be perhaps, however heads out between the ropes to the sound of her own pumpin’ music, and makes sure to stop by the metal railings on her way out to speak to reporters. “I said I’m gonna prove she’s a fraud and I did. There’s not much else to say. She might be strong and heavy but these are things I’m used to dealing with after years in this league. The bigger they are, the harder they fall – that’s what I always say. It’s not the first time and certainly not the last time I’m beating a legit bantam. She’s not on my level. She should try her luck with Avril or something, that would be a LOT easier for her.” Emma sneers before waving her hands to clear the way for herself and her team as she beelines towards the backstage area to the sound of EM-MA EM-MA chants throughout the arena.

A huge win for the Ice Queen tonight, stopping the big brunette dead in her tracks by ending her amazing 12 (!!!) fight win streak tonight. Ariel and her management who clearly saw her as the favorite to win tonight will have to do some thinking after this defeat and perhaps these two will meet again soon for another round which will be even MORE exciting! We and the fans certainly wouldn’t mind watching these two go at it again, and again…and again.
